The Downtown Vineyard Church
It’s often not hardship that makes us forget God—it’s comfort. When life is full, blessings are abundant, and prayers are answered, it can become dangerously easy to enjoy God’s gifts while forgetting God Himself. In this message, we’re called to renew our faith by intentionally remembering what Jesus saved us from, recognizing His faithfulness through every season, trusting that His promises are bigger than our present problems, and building spiritual practices that keep His goodness in front of us daily. Deuteronomy reminds us to be careful not to forget the Lord, because a good life can easily distract us from the God who gave it. This sermon is an invitation to rebuild gratitude, strengthen faith, and remember that God has always been good—even when life is hard.
