Plato's Republic Explained

Plato's Republic is probably in the top 10 most influential books of all-time. It contains remarkable and beautiful insights as well as tyrannical and dangerous ones. Plato, with the guidance of his prototypical philosopher-king Socrates, attempts to tackle the notion of justice. Plato ends up writing a book about how to obtain a more perfect city-state, who should rule and why, the theory of Forms connected to The Good, the idea of soulness and how justice and soulness are connected to the afterlife. Plato's Republic is profoundly important so I figured it was worth spending at least one episode attempting to explain what this book is about. Enjoy!

3 Dystopian Novels Everyone Should Read

Have you read 1984? Brave New World? Fahrenheit 451? I go into detail on each of them and also briefly cover books that inspired these classics along with a few others worth mentioning. Although these books are not very cheerful they are interesting. Given the state of America's educational system, the vast majority has probably not read these books. But they are worth exploring and I hope my breakdown helps. Enjoy!

Will U.S. Debt Cause Financial Collapse?

The general public does not care. Most politicians do not care. However, the U.S. is quickly heading toward financial collapse. The absurdly bloated U.S. Government continues to print and spend dollars it does not have. Fiat currency can end a nation. At some point a choice must be made before the interest on the debt is too big to pay. Then the country either slashes spending dramatically across the board or tries to print it's way out of debt further escalating the problem. Hope and pray collapse does not happen. For now, neither the people nor the politicians seem interested in stopping a debt bomb ready to explode sooner than people realize.
