The Farmeress and Friends
July 3, 2020 Today I talk with Dr. Scott Haley. Dr. Haley leads Colorado State University's Wheat Breeding and Genetics Program and will be retiring soon. He has helped Colorado farmers by developing wheat varieties that can maximize yield with limited moisture. Dr. Haley grew up in Washington state, and we talk about the life experiences that brought him to CSU's program. We also visit about his time in the Peace Corp in Burkina Faso and his meaningful work with the Borlaug Training Foundation.
