She was fascinated by wishes and started studying them.  She found 70 scientists who have addressed wishing. She talks about "cosmic wishing" and the differences of our three selves.   Brownell originally worked in  advertising and marketing but was drawn to the mystical "woo-woo" stuff during the 80's when Shirley Maclaine had her show. She brought the spiritual side to storytelling and other subjects that she became fascinated with. Her first book, "Five Reasons why Bad things Happen" came from a difficult time in her life when she started questioning things.   We covered many topics: hospice, dying, savoring life, having more fun, rebellion, science, and of course, wishing. The Arts Are Our Superpower | Ripple Effect Artists Jessie Fahay | Hilary Burns | S7EP7

Jessie Fahay discovered a powerful way to engage people in conversations by accident.  After the Columbine tragedy, she was involved with a production of "Bang Bang You're Dead."  It was a play that was written for high school students in the aftermath of the shooting.  Her teacher, Lane Sutton, engaged the audience in questions and created an inquiry which got the students talking about what happened.
