In which Thumbkin discovers that his friends donʼt like to get wet. So while Hamilton, Morrison, and Rutabug sit on a potato boat, everyone else goes swimming until Petipom looses his hat. Summer: Chapter 6 - The Black Beauty

In which, after Hamilton gets a canning lesson from Rutabug and Thumbkin, Petipom discovers a giant zucchini. Then, rolling it down to the creek, they discover it floats, which Rutabug has the bright idea of transforming it into a ship they appropriately call, The Black Beauty.

In which everyone gathers on the grassy knoll to watch the sunrise. After the Prince of Summer arrives in his castle in the sky, the summer games begin.
