Kuvaus

While in London some weeks back, I sat down with Jeremy Myerson on a rainy afternoon to have a chat about how work is changing. Jeremy is a leading expert on the future of work, and has been exploring the topic since the 80’s as Journalist, Researcher, and Author of over 20 books - and acts as trusted advisor for businesses and nations across the globe. I first met Jeremy in 2005, as my mentor at the Helen Hamlyn Center for Design. Where I spent a year researching design-led innovation practices. Exploring how spaces, tools and new ways of working can foster innovation within large organisations… looking back, I realise these same activities can be crucial in succeeding with a 4 day work week. You can follow Jeremy's work here [https://www.worktechacademy.com/] and here [https://www.rca.ac.uk/research-innovation/research-centres/helen-hamlyn-centre]. The Good Co. Episode 1: 4-day work week at Normally

In this episode, Toke has travelled to London to speak with Chris Downs about the benefits and challenges of running a ‘four day week’ - here 6 years into his data-driven design agency Normally.    Chris comes from a long career in design, most notably as co-founder of Livework, the world's first service design consultancy. Having worked across multiple roles and companies he reflects on what made him excel - and what didn't. In this episode, Chris talks about why Normally chose a ‘4 days a week’. From embracing dark days and bundling waste, to killing table tennis and making clients jealous. Chris also dives into other areas of work that could be improved, such as salary and compensation.  Follow our podcast series @ www.thegoodco.xyz [http://www.thegoodco.xyz/] We truly hope you will enjoy this episode.
