Episode LOUISIANA! What The Hell? Cover

Beschreibung

There are nine hundred thousand African American registered in the state of Louisiana, but less than a third voted in the recent gubernatorial race. What The Hell? How do we promote change if we don’t give a damn to show up and vote change? When are we going to understand that a “No Vote” is a vote for the other side? What it says is that we DO NOT CARE. We don’t care about our community, our family’s present or future. WE MUST UNDERSTAND that the local elections are just as important if not more important than the national elections. Why is this? It’s rather simple, it impacts you directly and even moreso immediately, so again, I ask, LOUISIANA, What The Hell?

Episode Parenting, What Love Looks Like & Diddy? Cover

Parenting, What Love Looks Like & Diddy?

Yes, ladies and gentlemen! These are the topics that were on our mind in this particular episode! Raine raises the question, are parents actually raising their children or becoming their best friend. R. Major has discovered what love looks like. He recently had a Gall Bladder procedure and he shares with us how his wife and grown children would not leave him alone! He shares with us how they did nothing but showed him love throughout his recovery process! And finally, Diddy? I include the question mark because I’m not exactly sure how they got to him, but once they did, they didn’t leave him. The reason for the question mark is in regard to how fast this story became such a non-story and what does it actually say about him and what his accuser alleged against him?! Hmm, our curious trio is only a duo on this episode, but a lot of knowledge and insight into the music industry is shared in this particular episode of broken word! As we always say, we hope you enjoy this episode and always remember to open your mind! God Bless!!

Episode The Importance of Mental Health in The Black Community Cover

The Importance of Mental Health in The Black Community

As U may know, we have changed the way we do things just a tad! We open the show with one simple question. What’s on your mind? And we go from there! Our sister comes in with some serious stuff on her mind! She discusses with us the danger of not addressing childhood issues in therapy and how it affects you unconsciously in your adult life! We have the resources to help heal ourselves. Why not use them? We have our theories and what is unusual for us, we don’t disagree or even bump heads this episode. We agree that addressing your mental health is no less important than addressing your physical health! Even your employer is giving you access to free sessions! At the end of the day, it is up to you and us to take care of ourselves in this respect! That old school mentality is just that, OLD! We hope you enjoy listening to this episode, but more importantly, we pray you adhere to this episode! God Bless
