Skylar has been in the health and fitness industry for almost 10 years and has had many progressions and variations within it over the course of her career. She is currently a coach and Fascial Stretch Specialist in Toronto and working towards getting her Kinesiology degree and becoming a Chiropractor. Skylar is very open and vulnerable about her journey with Cystic Fibrosis and since being diagnosed, she’s continued to raise awareness through her own personal story. This conversation was really characterized by the idea of changing perspectives. |26| Honey Lemon Shots: Post wedding reflections, being a sober bride - has life changed?

We're back!!!! I have MISSED this podcast so much! The routine of it all, being in a flow state while editing, I missed everything about it. As you may have seen on the HLP instagram, I took a little break because it was all just getting to be too much. We were planning a wedding, working full time jobs, dealing with every day life and I realized I didn't want this to be a half effort thing. I love this podcast and if I'm doing it, I want to give it my all. After a much needed break, I'm back with a Honey Lemon Shot, accompanied by my now husband (ew) Lendall. We talk about our post wedding reflections, some tips for those maybe taking that next step and we talk about important decisions we made not just with the wedding but with life moving forward. This was something I had been wanting to do with my partner Len for years but he had major reservations about it. I thought it was important to talk about why we decided couples therapy was right for us but also how we both gave each other space to be ready for it. Len also discusses in depth why he was so against therapy at the beginning and how his thoughts have changed. Most importantly he came to these conclusions on his own and in his own time.
