One of the most famous legends revolves around a phantom tiger that roams the dense forests of Corbett. Locals and some tourists claim to have heard the unmistakable roar of a tiger late at night, only to find no trace of the animal when they investigate. Some even report seeing a glowing, translucent tiger stalking through the trees, its eyes burning like embers. The story goes that this is the spirit of a tiger killed by poachers, forever guarding its territory.
