Description

Speakers, in alphabetical order: Nadia Dale Colom Taretha Conner Dr. Santee Ezell Dr. C. LaShan Simpson As black women, we understand that it is not uncommon for minority women to feel as if they have to make others feel comfortable when they are in leadership positions, especially if the groups we lead are composed of people who look nothing like us. Our panelists from different backgrounds will share their stories and give advice centered around negating negative stereotypes, understanding adversity, and revisiting W.E.B. Du Bois' concept of “double consciousness.” The following podcast is aimed to help women navigate race and gender in the workplace through the eyes of female leaders, and to develop leadership potential for minority women.
