Beskrivelse

Kirby is joined by Sam to unpack a wonky-but-hopeful start to the football season — and maybe do a little collective therapy while we're at it. Joe Burrow's turf toe has broken spirits, the Chiefs are somehow both mid and still Super Bowl favorites, and the Ravens might be the most confusing 4–5 team in football. It's giving full 2007 energy at the top of the table. Over in college, LSU's early-season split with Brian Kelly is getting messier than Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie — complete with gaslighting, delusion, and a dash of SEC drama. And finally, we get real about NFL seasonal depression — the heartbreak, the false hope, and the emotional toll of watching your team crumble by Week 3 (but still tuning in every Sunday anyway). It's chaos, it's cathartic, and it's exactly how we like our football.

Caitlin Clark Out Yet Fever Win Big, Paige Bueckers & WNBA All-Star Selections, and Impact of Dawn Staley "Conversation" With Knicks

This week, Kirby is joined by Sam to unpack the NBA offseason chaos and finally settle the question: who even won the Finals? Plus, buckle up as Kirby works through her internalized misogyny in a chaotic and cathartic conversation about whether the Knicks ever seriously considered hiring Dawn Staley as head coach. They also react to the WNBA All-Star selections, where Paige Bueckers shines as the only rookie on the roster, and put the three new WNBA expansion teams on the map. The Fever cooked the Lynx in the Commissioner's Cup Final without Caitlin Clark -- they're actually that good. And finally, we mourn the death of Love & Basketball in Dallas.
