Samuel Ojong on sexual and reproductive health rights in Africa

Dr Samuel Ojong is a Health Manager for UNICEF, based in Mozambique, and is a vocal advocate for sexual and reproductive health rights, and public health more generally. He is an Obstetrician-Gynaecologist by training and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Public Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, focussing on women’s and reproductive health. In our conversation we talk about his journey into the field of sexual and reproductive health rights, some of the key issues in this field for Africa, as well as his experiencing of working in different African countries. Dr Appiah is an Assistant Professor at Syracuse University, where his work focuses on the use of culturally appropriate communication channels to promote socio-behavioural change, as well as public and community engagement interventions.
