In 1908 the journey of a steamer from Japan to Brazil started a long cycle of immigration. During WWII, Japan was on the side of the nazis, Brazil with the allied. By the end of the war, the Japanese Brazilians created the Shindo Renmei and were divided into 2 groups: The Victors, who believed that Japan had won, and the Dirty Hearts, who believed that Japan had lost.
