Annie got her bachelor's degree majoring in Biochemistry, Physiology and Chemistry at the University of Punjab, in Lahore, Pakistan, where she also obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree. She did her PhD thesis at Hanyang University in Seoul, South Korea.
