In 1945 the coastal town of Ibarra opened a public library and placed my great-grandfather’s name above its door — a lasting testament to a belief in education, institutions, and civic responsibility. This episode explores how that library, family history of exile and sacrifice, and generations of preservation shaped a legacy of stewardship that carries from Cuba to Miami.
