Tebogo Mphahlele: Founder of Lead Young SA and Women Network Africa

In today's episode of The Millennial Thought Leaders' Podcast we have Tebogo Mphahlele who is an Aspiring Chartered Accountant, currently completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with the University of Johannesburg. She is 19 years old and is completing her second year of studies. She is the Founder and CEO of ‘Lead Young SA’ Foundation. The Foundation is aimed at empowering young people across South Africa through various initiatives. She is also the Founder of ‘Women Network Africa’, which is a project/company that she recently started and it’s aimed at enhancing women’s careers through networking. The end goal is to branch it out to other African countries, hence the ‘Africa’ part of it. ‬www.leadyoungsa.co.za  ‪Tebogo is a GIBS (Gordon Institute of Business Science) Alumni. She is a part of the ABASA (Association for the Advancement of Black Accountants of Southern Africa) committee. The Mission of ABASA is to embark on programmes and activities that redress inequalities and create access and opportunities for black South Africans in the accounting profession.‬ ‪She is a “LeadSA Future Leader” ambassador. In 2018 she was awarded the “Global Youth” Award in the ‘Empowering Everyone - Demonstration of Leadership’ category. She was also nominated for the “Woman Of Stature, Woman Of The Year 2018 Award ” in the Youth Ambassador category. "

Hello everybody and welcome to the first episode of the Millenial Thought Leaders' podcast. I'm your host Millicent Khoza. In this episode I will be sharing a bit about my self, what this podcast is about and what I, through this podcast aim to achieve. As stated my name is Millicent Khoza. I am an LLB student and I am also the founder of a blog called A law Student's guide. The Millennial thought leaders' podcast will serve as platform for young people in whichever discipline to share their distinct journeys, and to, through conversation, dismantle the stereotypes that are associated with being a millennial. In this podcast I will be sharing my thoughts and views on various concepts. I will also be conducting a series of interviews with the most phenomenal young people who have attained the role of leadership in their own right. My aim is for this podcast to transcend the borders of millennials to the extent that every single generation finds my content relatable.
