Episode 14 - What Makes the Bangor Chamber Awards the Best in the Biz?

The Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce hosts what many believe to be the best annaul awards show in the state. There are funny videos, surprises, one-of-a-kind moments, and of course awards. Two of the people who work to pull it all together are Ric Tyler and Paul Chadwick of Sutherland Weston Marketing Communications in Bangor. They work for months to pull off elaborate videos for the award winners and the community, and Ric also serves as emcee for the event - a role he has held for more than a decade. Dan and Diana chat with Ric and Paul about everything that goes into the annual awards ceremony - behind the scenes information, some of their own memories, and what you don't see to help pull it all together.

Episode 13 - Lawrence Manchester

Lawrence Manchester is a Maine native. He grew up in the Windham area, and eventually made his way to New York City. His audio work is so in-demand, he has done regular audio mixing at Saturday Night Live and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for NBC. He has also done work for film soundtracks, other live television, and with the legendary Roots Crew.  He chats with Dan and Diana about growing up in Maine, giving back, and his incredible resume and skills in the world of audio.

Dan Cashman has hosted The Nite Show with Danny Cashman continuously since 2010. Before that, he hosted the same show from 1997 - 2002 on smaller stations in Bangor and Augusta. Today, the show runs on network affiliates in all of Maine's 3 TV markets.  How, exactly, does a show like this come to fruition in Bangor, Maine? How does it even get started? What were some of the high points? What were some of the moments that made everyone feel like it's a really big deal?  Dan is joined by Luke Bouchard, the show's longtime co-Executive Producer who has also been a part of the TV since 1997 to talk about the show's origins, struggles, successes, and "oh wow" moments.  Diana Picavet hosts this insiders look at The Nite Show!

Lee Goldberg has been on TV in Maine since the mid 90s as part of the NewsCenter family. Starting at WLBZ in Bangor and moving on to WCSH in Portland, Goldberg now is seen on both stations as co-anchor of the NewsCenter Morning Report alongside longtime anchor and friend Sharon Rose. Goldberg started in sports before moving on to news, allowing the avid New England sports fan to cover some of his favorite teams' world championships. He joins The Nite Cast Podcast to talk about his journey through Maine broadcasting, moving from sports to news, and the thrill of being a Maine kid on Maine TV.
