As a Masters Photography student, Poppy’s work explores the relationship of photography and death. Using adhesive plastic and black pigment to create death masks, Poppy has created her own method of capturing photographs without the use of a camera. Working with the face and the body, Poppy’s art balances the intimacy of process with the immortalisation inherent in photography. Elliot’s work on the MA centres on the presence of humanity in the language of buildings, rather than form of the body. Elliot uses traditional methods of photography to capture the cinematic aesthetic and qualities of night time scenes. By using Jersey to create dynamic new forms and situate these within atmospheric, architectural spaces, Emily’s work pushes the boundaries of what constitutes as Fashion She creates forms that mimic shoulders and hips whilst also taking the guise of a crumbling building or a staircase.
