We talked through his MSc research on men’s disordered eating, how fitness culture can normalise rigid habits, and the difference between genuine discipline and compulsion dressed up as “health”. We also got into how to spot reputable nutrition information in a world of confident nonsense, including the red flags Brian looks for, the green flags that signal a credible educator, and how to think about evidence without needing a PhD.
