The PatteFacts: A College Football Show
College Football's fastest-rising analyst William Patteson is joined by Tennessee running back DeSean Bishop as TPF’s “Summer Interview Series” rolls on. Patteson describes Bishop as an “underdog, who is rooted and reminded by his faith” and begins the show by asking Bishop when he fully committed his life to Jesus Christ and how he leans on his faith in moments of adversity. The duo then pivots through Bishop’s journey from being a standout running back at the high school ranks to becoming a walk-on for Tennessee Football. Bishop recalls how he felt like he was undervalued coming out of the high school ranks, especially after rushing for 8,347 yards and 102 touchdowns at Karns High School in Knoxville, Tennessee. Bishop explains how important it was to learn from VFL’s Jabari Small, Jaylen Wright, and Dylan Sampson, and how he was able to have a breakout season for the Big Orange in 2025. The Knoxville native also reveals a never-before-told story of how he was able to play against Alabama last season despite not being able to walk earlier in the week in the lead up to the game. As things wind down, Patteson and Bishop discuss what is to expect this upcoming season, and the All-SEC back shares that he wants to be the best running back in all of college football.
