episode 05. You Can, But You Shouldn't cover

Description

There are things in life that you can wait to do, but you shouldn't wait to do. It’s not the time to sit around and wait for the world to return to whatever it used to be, or till you understand what it’s all going to look like when it’s over - whenever that is... No, now is the time for you to put legs on your dreams, specifically the dreams that you’re embarrassed to speak about because they’re so big. They are not fantasies, they aren’t a joke for you to shrug off. They have been given to you intentionally for you to bring into reality. I know it will help you get moving and propel you forward... if you let it.

07. Visualise and Believe

Do you believe you can actually live in the reality of the life you desire? Do you believe you can actually reach the potential you know you have inside you? If you can't visualise it, you won't truly believe it and if you don't truly believe it, it's a hope or a wish. Therefore, you won’t receive it. It would be a really sad day if we got to the end of our lives and hadn’t reached our potential because we just didn’t believe in ourselves enough. In this episode, I share a 6 step process and some inspiration found from studying Napoleon Hill’s book ‘Think and Grow Rich’. Despite its title, it’s not just about money - it’s about acquiring anything in life. It (whatever your ‘it’ is) must first live in your mind, before it can live in your reality.

04. 5 Reasons We Struggle To Say "No"

I think it’s true that no matter who you are, whether you’re naturally inclined to be confrontational or not or how potentially unpopular it may be - we all need to grow in our ability to say “no”. Bill Crawford says “One key to successful relationships is learning to say no without guilt so that you can say yes without resentment.” Simply put your “yes” and your “no” are how you have decided to invest your focus, time and energy. “Yes” shouldn’t be the default, and “no” shouldn’t be the last resort. They both hold equal value as responses to any question, request or opportunity. Flex your “no” to strengthen your “yes” and you can close the gap between your potential and your reality. This episode goes through 5 reasons I've identified as to why we struggle to say "no" and what we can do about them.
