We are, as a society and as individuals, currently facing so many hectic hardships, that it can be damaging to force toxic positivity onto people! Toxic Positivity is the messaging that encourages us to "just be grateful", "Just be happy with what we have", "just push through"... This can be so harmful as it encourages people to not FEEL their heavier emotions, to not acknowledge that they are having a sh*t time, or that they are ALLOWED. to be sad or feel heavy or sit with their feelings.
