There is a version of strength that looks like never letting anyone see you struggle, and there is a version that actually heals you, and they are not the same thing. My guest today learned that the hard way, through a divorce, a pandemic, and a stage III cancer diagnosis she chose to face in front of her entire audience instead of behind closed doors. Sarah Beaver is the founder of Creating Sunshine, and she has built her business, her podcast, and her identity around choosing joy inside of what is hard. We talk about the difference between wearing a mask and actually mastering your mindset, why she decided to tell her daughters and her audience the truth instead of hiding it, and what a somatic healing session taught her about emotions she had been carrying for years without even realizing it.
