Description

You've been doing the work. Showing up for everyone, playing the roles, keeping it together. And somewhere in the middle of all of it, something started to feel off. Not broken, just... not quite you. This episode is about that feeling, and more importantly, what's actually underneath it. The truth is, you didn't lose yourself. The signal just got buried. Most of us absorbed an identity before we were old enough to choose one: the good girl, the responsible one, the peacekeeper, the one who makes herself smaller so everyone else stays comfortable. We got so good at performing that identity that we became it. And the version of you that is fully expressed, fully aligned, and fully alive? She's been there the whole time. In this episode, I share the framework I recently taught inside a coaching container on identity and intuition, and I'm bringing it here because it needs to reach more women. Here's what I cover: * The difference between the identity you inherited and the identity you choose, and why stepping into who you really are is not an ego move but a homecoming * How your intuition actually works as data, why your body is always telling you the truth, and how to start listening again * The shift from princess energy to queen energy, and what it really means to stop asking for permission to take up the space you were made to take up This is the work. Not construction. Excavation. episode Ep. 119 | What Remains: How Love, Loss, and Legacy Change the Way We Live artwork

Ep. 119 | What Remains: How Love, Loss, and Legacy Change the Way We Live

A few weeks ago I sat behind this microphone and told you I didn't know how this story ended. I was looking for an ending, and what I got instead was another chapter. Some days it still doesn't feel real, and I'm learning that grief doesn't announce itself so much as quietly become part of your days. Since I recorded episode 116, my father-in-law passed away. We called him Pops. He wasn't my dad biologically, but for 34 years he was my dad in every way that counted, and he kept choosing me even after a divorce reshaped our entire family. When I lost him, I wasn't saying goodbye to my father-in-law. I was saying goodbye to my dad. So this is me being honest with you about what this season is teaching me, not from the other side of grief, because I am nowhere near the other side. I share what's holding me up right now, what I misread as failure a few weeks ago, and the question I haven't been able to put down since the day he died. If you've ever lost someone who made you feel safe simply by walking into a room, you already know why I needed to say all of this out loud. Here's what I get into: * The difference between retreating and disappearing, and why one of them restores you while the other quietly takes you out of your own life * What I understand now about my Glow Up School launch that I couldn't see while I was living it, and why the timing I resented may have been the gift * The question I'm carrying for the rest of my life, and why it has nothing to do with what you build, what you own, or what you accomplish If you're quietly carrying something heavy right now, I hope this one reminds you that you don't have to carry it alone. Ep. 118 | Perimenopause Weight Loss Truths with Terry Tateossian

This week I'm joined by Terry Tateossian, and this is one of the most important conversations I've had on hormones, weight, and midlife identity. Terry spent ten years chasing every diet trend before she finally understood what her body actually needed in perimenopause, and she lost over eighty pounds by doing the opposite of everything she'd been taught to do. Terry is an ISSA certified personal trainer, a Harvard Medical School trained lifestyle medicine coach, and an emotional eating specialist, but what makes her story land is how honest she is about the years she spent believing something was wrong with her instead of realizing her hormones had shifted the entire game. We talk about why resistance training matters more than cardio right now, why the supplement aisle might be working against you, and why self-sabotage tends to show up right when you're finally getting somewhere. Inside this episode: * The real reason perimenopause makes old diets stop working, and what actually helped Terry keep the weight off for good * The type of movement Terry calls the holy grail for hormone health, and why walking and yoga alone won't cut it * What Terry says happens the moment you start seeing real progress, and why that's exactly when most women quit If you've ever felt like your body stopped listening to you, this conversation will change how you see the next chapter. Meet Terry Tateossian Terry Tateossian is an ISSA-certified personal trainer and nutritionist, Registered Yoga Teacher, IIN hormone specialist and emotional eating coach, and the host of How Good Can It Get. https://www.instagram.com/how.good.can.it.get/ [https://www.instagram.com/how.good.can.it.get/] https://www.thehouseofrose.com/ [https://www.thehouseofrose.com/] Let’s Stay Connected 🩷 Join the Free Skool Community, the Shine House A home for intentional, evolving women ready to restore their rhythm and glow from the inside out. https://www.skool.com/theshinehouse 🎧 Subscribe + Review Love the show? episode Ep. 117 | Thriving Through Cancer and Reclaiming Your Identity with Sarah Beaver artwork

Ep. 117 | Thriving Through Cancer and Reclaiming Your Identity with Sarah Beaver

There is a version of strength that looks like never letting anyone see you struggle, and there is a version that actually heals you, and they are not the same thing. My guest today learned that the hard way, through a divorce, a pandemic, and a stage III cancer diagnosis she chose to face in front of her entire audience instead of behind closed doors. Sarah Beaver is the founder of Creating Sunshine, and she has built her business, her podcast, and her identity around choosing joy inside of what is hard. We talk about the difference between wearing a mask and actually mastering your mindset, why she decided to tell her daughters and her audience the truth instead of hiding it, and what a somatic healing session taught her about emotions she had been carrying for years without even realizing it. She also opens up about leaving a twenty seven year career, rebuilding her membership community around what her season actually needed, and choosing to focus on what she could still control when so much of her life was not. A few things we cover: * The free daily tool Sarah leaned on before she ever felt ready to talk about what she was going through * Why she stopped calling herself strong once she understood what was actually happening underneath the surface * What happened during a somatic release session that neither of them expected This one will remind you that thriving does not mean pretending everything is fine, it means choosing what you focus on even when it is not. Meet Sarah Beaver I'm Sarah Arvizu, founder of Creating Sunshine, where I empower women to reclaim their power and navigate life with resilience through practical mindset tools and community. As a Stage 3 cancer survivor who thrived through my journey, I'm a speaker, host of The Creating Sunshine podcast, founder of The Sunshine Era membership, and creator of custom merchandise that brings messages of encouragement to life. After 27 years as a Senior Manager at Costco, I'm stepping fully into helping women realize their mindset is one of their most powerful tools. Ep. 116 | Tiny Returns: How to Keep Showing Up When Everything Falls Apart

Some weeks don't go according to plan. This one didn't. And instead of waiting until the hard part was over to show up, I decided to come on here raw, unresolved, and right in the middle of it, because I think that's exactly where a lot of you are too. Real resilience isn't the Instagram version. It's not bouncing back fast or pushing through with a smile. It's learning how to make tiny returns to yourself, one walk, one journal entry, one email sent, without waiting for the hard thing to be over first. In this episode, I share what this week revealed about how I'm wired, what I lean on when life gets heavy, and why the rhythms and habits we build aren't for the good seasons. They're for weeks exactly like this one. What you'll take away from this episode: * Why your instinct to get small when life gets hard might not mean what you think it does * The real difference between retreating to restore and completely disappearing * What it looks like when grief and gratitude exist in the same moment, and why that's one of the most human things there is If you're in the middle of something right now, this one is for you. Ep. 115 | How to Stop Losing Yourself in Marriage and Rebuild After Divorce with Kara Francis

There is a version of you that got so busy being everything to everyone that she forgot to check in with herself. If you have ever felt like you were living your life on autopilot, going through the motions of a life that looks right but feels hollow, this episode is going to land. I am joined by Kara Francis, a modern relationship expert and divorce strategist who spent years as a divorce attorney before pivoting to something more aligned with her own truth. Kara has personally navigated marriage, divorce, and remarriage, and she now guides women through some of life's most defining transitions with clarity and self-trust. This conversation is honest, personal, and exactly what so many women need to hear. In this episode, we talk about: * The quiet internal signs that something is off in your relationship, and why so many women push them down until they can't anymore * Why the "should I stay or go" question is actually the wrong place to start, and what Kara asks her clients instead * What it really takes to rebuild your identity after divorce, and how fear and limiting beliefs keep women stuck long after they know the truth If you have ever used gratitude to talk yourself out of your own feelings, this one is for you. Meet Kara Francis Kara Francis is a former divorce attorney turned Marriage & Divorce Coach. She has also personally been through marriage, divorce, and remarriage. Whether contemplating divorce, navigating divorce, or rebuilding afterward, Kara helps her clients (1) reconnect to their true desires and goals, (2) identify and move past fears, limiting beliefs, and anything else that's getting in the way, and (3) confidently make decisions and take action to create an authentic, aligned life. https://www.karafranciscoaching.com [https://www.karafranciscoaching.com] https://www.instagram.com/karafranciscoach/ [https://www.instagram.com/karafranciscoach/] https://www.tiktok.com/@karafranciscoach [https://www.tiktok.com/@karafranciscoach] Let’s Stay Connected 🩷 Join the Free Skool Community, the Shine House A home for intentional, evolving women ready to restore their rhythm and glow from the inside out. https://www.skool.com/theshinehouse 🎧 Subscribe + Review Love the show?
