Always Learning: The importance of building relationships and not being afraid to ask - Kyle Pane

Today I sat down with my good friend Kyle Pane. Kyle graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha with a degree in Finance and a minor in political science. During his time in school he was involved in the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, the investment club, and student government. Kyle aspires to work as a talent agent, and he understands the importance of building trust, loyalty, and a personal relationship with his clients. During our conversation, Kyle and I discuss the importance of building personal relationships, as well as the pursuit of learning. What I'm Reading: How to Win Friends and Influence People

The book for today is "How to Win Friends & Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. The book is described as a guidebook for the simple and life-changing concepts such as: a simple way to make a good first impression, how to criticize other people, an easy way to become a good conversationalist, what to do when nothing else works, making people glad to do what you want, and more. Personally, this book has made me a more confident conversationalist, helped me learn how to make a great first impression, and how to be a respected and impactful leader. What Makes a Good Leader? A discussion of leadership theories and the questions we can ask ourselves every day - Kyle Cobb

I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation with Kyle, and I am excited to share it with you all. Kyle will soon be graduating from the University of West Georgia with a double major in marketing and management. Upon graduation he will be working as a graduate assistant for the Richards College of Business in the economic department. During his undergraduate career Kyle had the opportunity to study leadership theory, and even develop a theory of his own. Our conversation revolved around what makes a good leader, and how we can apply these theories and ideas into our own lives.
