Bold Claim: We can make Christianity into what we want it to be. Many people throughout the Bible have made their relationship with God into what the wanted it to be. From the time of Cain and Abel, to the time of the Pharisees, people have hijacked what God intended. This may be true even of us. And one thing you recognize is that God hates when we make something he has intended Holy into something not Holy. How do we guardrail against this? How do we help ourselves so we don't fall victim about making Christianity into what we want? We consider this and more in this week's sermon. Vision Sunday Pt 6 (How much do you desire the Lord?)

The great thing about the Lord is that we get as much of the Lord as we would like or as little. A theme throughout scripture is that God moves when people are eager for him. He calls us to seek him with all of our heart. He loved David's deep longing for him. Even the account of those who were healed in Jesus' times were those who deeply longed for a move of God. So how do we proceed forward? How do we go from a passive Christian life to an active Christian life? We consider how we partner with the Lord this week. As always, we appreciate you tuning in. Vision Sunday (Pt 5 What's in your Hand?)

As we continue the series on the vision of our church, we consider the commonalities between the 3 pillars of the church. In considering the commonalities, we see that all 3 pillars are things that we have in our control (having heaven in our homes, seeking God and aiming to look like Jesus). Many times, we can get overwhelmed by things we cannot control. Problems, other people, past failures and outcomes all cloud our mind so that we are not focused on what the Lord has given us today to handle. Instead of focusing on what we cannot control, God is asking that we manage what we do have control over. We look at the life of Moses to consider how he managed what the Lord gave him to eventually lead the people out of Egypt. Our prayer is that you partner with the Lord and give the little you have so the Lord can make much out of it. As always, thanks for listening. Finding Peace

In the midst of the chaos of this life, the Lord is offering us peace. Peace is a gift of righteousness and right standing with God. Peace is a gift directly from God. In the midst of everything we go through in life, there should be a peace in every believer. How do we house this peace? What is this peace truly? Vision Sunday (Pt 4. Winning in the Dark)

As we look at the vision of the church, we consider any commonalities. We see that the vision of the church begins in the dark. When no one is looking and in areas that seem overwhelming, we pray that every member begins to fight the battle. Winning the battle of the dark has always been a message throughout the Bible. God showed us this in creation and Jesus shows us this in his life. As we consider the battle of the dark, we consider if we have truly experienced this light of Jesus in our lives and ask honest questions of reflection. As always, we appreciate you for listening.
