Today, I discuss my thoughts about the current state of the GOP after reading Arthur Brooks (former President of The American Enterprise Institute) "The Conservative Heart." The simple explanation, despite actually having policy, Post Tea Party GOP has sucked at advertising. Trump tapped into something terrifying, and potentially turned the GOP into a minority social movement, rather than a majoritarian movement that fights for Conservative ideas and Conservative values in the 21st century. A lot of contention is going around about 230, so I wanted to explain what it is, and go a little further into a recent opinion Clarence Thomas gave into the Trump twitter court case. I also talk a bit here about gatekeeping and right to association and explains how that plays a part of 230. I also explain the problems behind claiming 230 needs to go, and why it'd effectively be the death of the internet if we did it.
