What happens when you cannot even talk to your own family about concerns? What happens when you are too prideful to have a conversation? When we think we understand a situation more than anyone else and, to our own detriment, find others with the same opinions... In Numbers 16, Korahs experience is just that. We are given an example of when community is defiled, authority is disrespected, and self overcomes an entire sect of God's people. We also gain the understanding of how God Himself feels about such a situation. He resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
