This festival was impeccable from start to finish - TENS across the board. BlackStar creates and fosters safe spaces for BIPOC filmmakers from around the globe. We sat down with one of these filmmakers - Winner of the 2024 Blackstar Philadelphia Filmmaker Award, Kristal Sotomayor; @kristalsotomayor on Instagram. Their must-see film, “Expanding Sanctuary” was featured at this year’s BlackStar and is currently making the rounds on the festival circuit. Ep. 09: "Stranger Danger"

Hopefully you’re no stranger to our podcast, but if you are, WELCOME TO THE FAMILY, TSK-ies! This week, we review The Strangers: Chapter 1 - the not prequel to the classic (read 2008) and one of Tony’s favorite horror movies, The Strangers. The horror tropes are aplenty. The freak doing freak sh*t is there BUT Tamara is still not there. Though we may finally find out who this mystery Tamara is, as ALL THREE CHAPTERS are being released this year! We’re ready to hop in our mystery machine to solve horror’s Carmen Sandiego. Jinkies!  Tell us your favorite horror movies featuring your favorite scream queen with lip filler. We could name a few.
