Chris shares how his entrepreneurial spirit started early, launching his first lawn care business at age 11. Influenced by his father's advice to never work for someone else, Chris developed a passion for working independently, leading him to eventually enter the world of insurance sales after a few career pivots. Chris talks about his early years working for companies like Living Scriptures and Fidelity Investments, while continuing to rely on his father's fire suppression business when times got tough. It was through researching residual income that Chris discovered the potential of insurance. After some initial struggles, he found his footing with Humana and built a thriving business, embracing the concept of making money while you sleep. Now, as a top producer and agency owner, Chris has grown a national insurance business by mentoring other agents. He shares the philosophy that drives his success: focus on helping clients rather than just selling products. By doing what’s best for clients, Chris has created a company culture that attracts top talent and generates lasting success for both his agents and their customers. On this episode of The Ty Brady Way, Ty explains the phrase ‘You have to want it as bad as you want oxygen’. Ty expresses how anything you do in life needs a vision and then a plan. Ty shares how once you know what it is you want, whether that be financial freedom or retiring at 40, make a plan on how you think you can achieve that and once you figure out each of the steps of your plan, those steps will become habits, rituals and routines and if you’re committed and consistent with your plan, you will find success. Ty states that your dream needs to be your why and if you don’t want your dream as much as you want oxygen, then dream bigger. Ty provides his best advice on how you can begin mapping out how to achieve your goals and also shares how he has achieved some of his goals through the same process.
