January 11, 1944. FDR gives what many would consider to be the most radical State of the Union address that was spoken to the nation. After all, FDR saw victory just over the horizon—an end to the on-going war against the Fascist-Axis. He was ready to turn his attention towards domestic issues that were plaguing the everyday American—with the intent to prevent any potential future that would give rise to another fascist-dictatorship/authoritarian movement that might attempt to enslave the world.
