Description

How often do you look at your body and immediately notice what’s “wrong” with it? The size, the shape, the ageing, the aches, the bits you wish were different… In this episode, I’m talking about the way we think about our physical bodies — and why hating, criticising or constantly picking yourself apart is never going to help you feel better, take care of yourself, or create lasting change. This isn’t about pretending you love every single inch of your body. That’s not always realistic, and honestly, it can feel like another stick to beat yourself with. Instead, I’m inviting you to look for gratitude. Because your body is doing so much for you. It lets you walk, breathe, see, hear, speak, hug your children, eat food, move through the world, and experience your life. And when you start choosing to focus on what your body does for you, rather than only what you think is wrong with it, something shifts. With love and absolutely no bullshit, this episode will help you start building a kinder, more useful relationship with the body you’ve been given.  In this episode, I talk about: *  Why your brain naturally focuses on what’s wrong  *  Why body hatred doesn’t help you take better care of yourself  *  The difference between loving your body and feeling grateful for it  *  How to find something about your body you can appreciate  *  Why the way you speak to your body matters  You don’t have to love every bit of your body. But you can stop being so cruel to it. And that’s a bloody good place to start. episode Ep #118 - Stop Apologising for What You Know artwork

Ep #118 - Stop Apologising for What You Know

Have you ever found yourself shrinking back, downplaying what you know, or apologising for your experience before you’ve even said the sentence? In this episode, I’m talking about how to start stepping into your authority — especially when you’re in a space where people might underestimate you, dismiss you, or see you as less experienced than you actually are. Because here’s the truth: you do not need to apologise for your wisdom. You do not need to make yourself smaller so other people feel more comfortable. And you do not need to wait for someone else to validate you before you start holding yourself differently. I’m sharing five practical steps to help you begin shifting the way you see yourself, speak about yourself, and show up in your work and life — even when it feels uncomfortable. This episode is for you if you know, deep down, that you’re capable, experienced and powerful… but you’re ready to actually start believing it. You’ll learn: * Why other people’s first impression of you is not yours to control * How your own identity shapes the way you hold yourself * Why discomfort is part of confidence-building * The importance of celebrating small wins * How to begin stepping into the woman you already know you are Stop apologising for what you know. It’s time to own it. episode Ep #117 - Coming Off Mute with Dr Rita Renee artwork

Ep #117 - Coming Off Mute with Dr Rita Renee

In this powerful conversation, I'm joined by Dr Rita Renee, speaker, author and voice strategist, whose work centres around helping women “come off mute” when trauma, fear or self-doubt has taught them to stay silent. Together, we explore how silence can become a survival strategy, especially for women who have learnt to people-please, avoid conflict, keep the peace or make everyone else comfortable while abandoning themselves in the process. Dr Rita shares her own experience of childhood trauma and the journey that led her to help other women reclaim their voice, lead with clarity and take up space without losing who they are. This episode is a compassionate, honest and empowering conversation about trauma, identity, leadership, emotional safety and what it really means to be seen, heard and fully yourself. A beautiful listen for any woman who knows she has more to say, but somewhere along the way learnt it was safer to stay quiet. episode Ep #117 - Hot, Sweaty, and Still in Control artwork

Ep #117 - Hot, Sweaty, and Still in Control

When it’s 31 degrees in your kitchen and your thighs are sticking together, it can feel very easy to lose your shit. But here’s the thing: you can’t control the weather. You can’t control the temperature, the sweat, the stickiness, or the fact that the UK is absolutely not built for this kind of heat. What you can control is the extra drama your brain wants to throw on top. In this episode, I’m talking about how to separate the facts from the emotional heat we add on top, why fighting reality makes everything feel worse, and how accepting what is can help you feel calmer, clearer and more in control — even when life feels too bloody hot. Because being uncomfortable doesn’t have to mean spiralling or drama. And being hot doesn’t have to mean losing your mind. episode Ep #114 - Teens, Apps & Disobedience artwork

Ep #114 - Teens, Apps & Disobedience

In this episode, I'm sharing something that happened a few weekends ago with my Teenagers & some Apps that we had said they weren't allowed.  It's recorded via my phone whilst I was in the car, so the sound quality isn't brilliant and I don't have the transcript or video for this episode, but I really hope this story helps you & your teenagers. Ride along with me & learn some skills around controlling yourself, parenting from love rather than frustration and how to have an effective conversation with out all the added drama. What I'm talking about in this episode will not only help you with your family, but also at work, with clients or even complete strangers on the street. I hope you enjoy it.
