Description

Hello Freedom Listeners! This episode comes down to one simple question: What do you put your faith and trust in? It is inspired by our family trip to the Acropolis in Athens this summer. In Acts 17, the Apostle Paul speaks to the philosophers of his time—around 46 to 50 A.D. He notices that the people of Athens are very spiritual and even worship “unknown gods.” In Paul’s address he points them to the real God, the one true source of all life. This episode, titled “What Sits on the Throne of Your Heart,” looks at this powerful and profound passage. An ambitious one for me to take on, but excited to share it with you.

You Are Not Too Far Gone | Jacob Part One

Ever felt like you were too far gone? Or that your choices have taken you past the point of redemption?  In this episode, I share how Jesus met me at my lowest moment and showed me that His plans for my life were never cancelled. No matter how far we stray, He can reroute our story toward redemption and more. All he needs is our surrender, allowing him the driver’s seat. We look at the story of Jacob, a man known for deceit yet desperate for God’s blessing. Running away from his past, and at his lowest, Jacob has a dream of a stairway reaching from earth to heaven and wakes with the revelation: “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.” This episode is a reminder that you are not beyond God’s reach. Your past does not disqualify you. The same God who met Jacob in his brokenness still meets us today — right where we are — and transforms us from the inside out. … Stay tuned for Part Two, where we’ll explore how God refines Jacob’s heart and leads him into true freedom.

episode How To Grow A Hunger For God artwork

How To Grow A Hunger For God

In this episode, we’re talking about how to develop a hunger and a fire for God — especially when life is busy, and spiritual appetites are low. Our hunger is our responsibility. When we constantly fill up on distractions — even things that seem important — we lose our appetite for what truly nourishes us. Just like eating junk food can ruin your hunger for a healthy meal, a heart filled with noise won’t crave the stillness of His presence. What we sow grows. So I read from the parable of the sower — a story Jesus told about how the condition of our hearts, like soil, determines whether the seeds of God’s truth can take root or not. If you’ve been wondering how to grow spiritually or how to develop an appetite for the things of God, this episode is a gentle nudge to water the soil of your heart — and trust that He will meet you there.
