Journal entries deserve cover art

I was writing deep into the night a few weeks ago listening to Fela Kuti. Staring out of my panoramic living room window facing Midtown, Manhattan. Within three hours I wrote my greatest piece of writing to date. It's descriptive, confidential, and vindictive. When I dive into these modes where I'm expressing frustrations on personal conundrums, I design cover art for these pieces to make them feel finished. Artwork adds a layer of depth to our writing that we could all benefit from. I'm still working on physically penning these words on paper in blue ink like a real journal I can stuff in my briefcase. I misplaced my mic for a few days while rearranging the apartment a bit for the Fall. As I remain experimental with the direction of this podcast, lately I've been drawn to capturing the acoustics of a ride on the subway. Briefly, you could hear those nasty ass coughs. The Renaissance

I return from a year-long hiatus to share the monumental upgrade in audio quality with a raw, lengthy soundscape of a store run in my neighborhood. There has been an undeniable normalization of online sports betting. In our hedonistic society, we owe it to ourselves to remain as mindful and responsible as we possibly can when it comes to how we feed into pleasures. It's no way to live life, but one way to feel thrilled. Although my experience with gambling has been somewhat successful and not a deterrent to my life financially, I wholly acknowledge many cannot say the same. If you're going to participate, my best advice would be: * Only bet 1% of your monthly income * Deduct 40% of your withdrawals for taxes by transferring those funds into a high-yield savings account to accrue interest until next year * Do whatever you want with the remaining 60% of your withdrawals—you earned it Please bet responsibly and chill tf out if you find yourself addicted.
