aflevering #7 - If Theater Were a Podcast Episode (With Composer/Lyricist, Keith Gordon) artwork

#7 - If Theater Were a Podcast Episode (With Composer/Lyricist, Keith Gordon)

That's right! Jess & Devin are back again (sorry, haters). In this epic and painfully theatrical 7th episode of TPJMCYL, Jess Westman chats with composer and lyricist Keith Gordon (Saint Heaven, The Shadow Sparrow, The Wedding Night) about hope, making musical theater, and the power of storytelling. A graduate of the University of Colorado where he studied under Argentine composer Luis Jorge González, Keith went on to join the BMI Lehman Engel Workshop under the guidance of legends like Maury Yeston and Skip Kennon. From writing jingles for brands like Max Factor and Cosmopolitan in '80s New York, to collaborating with Tony-winning vocalists such as Chuck Cooper and Anne Marie David, Keith's career spans decades, countries, and genres. His work has been featured at the Eugene O'Neill, selected as Pick of the Fringe in Hollywood, and—according to him right before they hit record—nothing has topped joining the podcast that just might change your life. TPJMCYL Commercials Vol. 1 (Episodes 1-4)

Because Jess Westman is procrastinating the mildly-anticipated release of episode 5, enjoy volume 1 (episodes 1-4) of TPJMCYL's insanely epic, uncomfortable, and award-losing commercials, written by Jess Westman. Fine, yeah, and Devin Smith. This featurette includes infamous ads like BabyMe, Meditations with Zane: Civil War Trauma, Geico x The Rapture, Hey, Baby Voice Apocalypse: The Movie (Trailer 1), & a preview of the all-new, NY Times best-selling memoir, The Tony Cheese Story. Filled to the unfortunate brim with banter, segments, parody ads, and gags galore, this episode (and season) is guaranteed to leave you indifferent, in pain, or feeling slightly better.
