IS THIS VERSE LAW OR GOSPEL? * The biblical doctrine of assurance requires and presupposes a proper law and gospel balance and distinction. * The 1689 London Baptist Confession (and most Reformed confessions) dedicates an entire chapter on the doctrine of assurance.
