He is the Chairman of the Texas R&B/Hip-Hop Music Association, Inc. Jefferson was awarded an official Proclamation from Dallas Mayor Ron Kirk acknowledging September 19, 1998, as Texas R&B Music Day. During his tenure, he created the “Homegrown Texas Talent Search, Texas Idol (Located at www.texasidol.net) and Southwest Gospel Talent Search” which was the first Texas music group responsible for single handedly providing exclusive celebrity music panel discussions/workshops and new artist showcases featuring celebrity panelist such as Randy Jackson (American Idol) which coincidentally was first to introduce artist such as “Erykah Badu, Jessica Simpson, and Destiny Child" the group which featured Beyonce Knowles.
