Suzanne Morphew's siblings had already booked travel to be there. Those plans are being canceled. Thirty-one motions were filed in a single day leading up to the ruling, and the back-and-forth between defense and prosecution over what qualifies as a legitimate reason to push the date has only intensified. But the delay isn't happening in a vacuum. Before Barry was taken back into custody in June 2025, he had spent months living in Cave Creek, Arizona, under a name that wasn't his own. The woman he was living with had no idea who he actually was until five days before his arrest, when he finally told her the truth and gave her an account of what happened to Suzanne that doesn't line up with anything in the indictment. Investigators also found an AR-15 and a silencer inside his safe.
