episode Barry Morphew Used WHAT Name While Awaiting Trial?! cover

Description

Suzanne Morphew’s family was ready for October. The trial date was set. The travel was booked. Then Barry Morphew’s defense team filed a motion for a continuance, telling the judge they needed four to six additional months to review the evidence. The judge granted it. No new date has been set, but the trial could now stretch into mid-2027. This is the third time the Morphew case has been delayed or derailed. Charges were first filed in 2021 and dismissed in 2022 amid prosecutorial misconduct. The DA was later disbarred. Suzanne’s remains were discovered in 2023, and a grand jury re-indicted Barry in 2025. He was arrested in Arizona, where according to arrest documents he had been living under the alias Lee Moore. A bar manager in Cave Creek knew him by yet another name: Bruce. The woman he was living with didn’t learn his real identity until five days before police took him into custody. The episode examines whether the defense’s request for more time holds up when weighed against the thirty-one motions they filed in a single hearing five weeks earlier. Tony Brueski walks through the evidence the defense says it’s still reviewing, the prosecution’s objection, the family’s plea for closure, and what Barry’s life in Arizona reveals about the man asking for patience from the court. Barry Morphew has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder. Hosted by Tony Brueski. Produced by Hidden Killers. episode Why Lindsay Clancy Needed Her Husband Gone for Fifty-Four Minutes artwork

Why Lindsay Clancy Needed Her Husband Gone for Fifty-Four Minutes

Lindsay Clancy's murder trial begins in days. Jury selection opens July 20 in Plymouth. She is charged with ending the lives of all three of her children during a fifty-four-minute window while her husband was picking up takeout she asked him to get. Prosecutors say she checked Apple Maps to time the drive. The defense says she was drowning. Nine medications prescribed across dozens of appointments — eight of those medications added in a single three-week stretch. Virtual psychiatric visits that lasted seventeen minutes. A hospital that evaluated her, concluded she was overmedicated and misdiagnosed, and discharged her anyway. Her attorney offered to formally admit she was responsible for all three deaths if the judge would let the jury consider guilt and sanity separately. The judge declined. The judge also blocked fifteen women who wanted to testify about their own postpartum psychosis — women who had experienced command hallucinations like the ones Lindsay described. The court ruled medical experts are sufficient. The defense lost the most emotionally powerful testimony it had. Jennifer Coffindaffer, retired FBI Special Agent, sits down with Tony and Robin to dissect the case heading to trial. She addresses whether the Apple Maps evidence is as damning as the prosecution believes, how a jury handles hearing a confession and an insanity defense in the same breath, and what happens when Patrick Clancy — the father who forgave — takes the stand and tells the jury his wife got sick. Lindsay Clancy is paralyzed. She's in a wheelchair. The doctors who prescribed her nine medications are named in two civil lawsuits — but not a single one of them is sitting at a defendant's table. episode What Joseph Duggar Told The World About His Brother artwork

What Joseph Duggar Told The World About His Brother

There is a tape almost nobody has gone back and watched, and it is the most important thing in the Joseph Duggar case. December of 2015. Joseph Duggar, twenty years old, sitting in front of a TLC camera talking about Josh. He does not hedge. He describes a man living a secret life. He describes how you would never guess it was the person standing up preaching about being true to your wife. He says it broke his heart. In March of 2026, Joseph Duggar was arrested. According to the Bay County, Florida arrest affidavit, he asked a nine-year-old girl to sit on his lap during a 2020 family vacation in Panama City Beach. He has pleaded not guilty. Tony Brueski takes the question true crime listeners have been fighting about since the arrest — Joseph or Josh, which one is worse — and gives a real answer instead of a shrug. Getting there means going back to July of 2003, sixteen months after Josh Duggar first confessed, and looking hard at the man Jim Bob Duggar chose to handle it. It means looking at the teaching this family was raised on, which framed going outside the chain of command as the dangerous move. It means watching what happened to two Duggar daughters on Fox News in June of 2015. And it means reading two statements. One from the Duggars. One from Kendra's parents, the Caldwells, who lost a house over it. Joseph Duggar's Florida case was continued on July 14, 2026. Next court date is September 15. episode Siders' 16 Kids: What the DNA Testing Is About to Show artwork

Siders' 16 Kids: What the DNA Testing Is About to Show

When Ohio's Attorney General described the Siders case as "intrafamily," most of the coverage moved past the word. It shouldn't have. That term — used before DNA testing was complete — signals something the child endangerment charges don't capture. Sixteen children found in a twelve-by-twelve room in Hamden, Ohio. Some nonverbal. One critical. Elizabeth Siders was fifteen when she married Gary Jr. and reportedly thirteen when her first child was born. All sixteen children were delivered at hospitals. Truancy complaints filed in 2021 were never served. No CPS intervention. No school enrollment. No medical records beyond delivery. Jennifer Coffindaffer, retired FBI Special Agent, sits down with Tony and Robin to unpack what the DNA testing could confirm, whether Elizabeth Siders is a co-defendant or someone who was trapped in an environment she entered as a child, and what the gag order — filed by one defendant's attorney but applied to every official in the case — is actually designed to protect. Coffindaffer also addresses whether additional charges are coming, who the primary architect of this situation really was, and why a family that collected state benefits while keeping sixteen children invisible to every system managed to do it for eighteen years without a single intervention. Nobody is saying it on the record anymore. The gag order made sure of that. Coffindaffer says what they can't. episode Nolan Wells' Boat Crew Told Investigators THIS artwork

Nolan Wells' Boat Crew Told Investigators THIS

Nolan Wells was supposed to come home from Horn Island after the Fourth of July. His friends left. He stayed. Two days later, a park ranger found him in the water — and the story the group told investigators started falling apart almost immediately. Multiple friends from the boat trip have given conflicting accounts of what happened on the island. The family says Nolan's Snapchat data was erased after his death. The FBI is conducting forensic analysis on his phone, and death threats tied to the case are under separate investigation. Attorney Ben Crump retained by the family says the case will go to a grand jury. Jennifer Coffindaffer, retired FBI Special Agent, joins Tony Brueski and Robin Dreeke to examine the investigation's biggest vulnerability: the people closest to Nolan Wells cannot agree on what happened. Coffindaffer assesses whether the Snapchat allegation holds investigative weight, what the FBI's role actually is when jurisdiction belongs to the local sheriff despite the island being federal land, and why the public's rush to assign motive — racial or otherwise — may be obscuring what the evidence actually shows. Over sixty witnesses have been interviewed. Two autopsies are pending — one from the state, one independent. And the friends who were on that boat with Nolan Wells have yet to tell a version of events that everyone agrees on. Somebody knows what happened. The question is whether anybody is willing to say it out loud. episode Kohberger: What The Internet Got Wrong First artwork

Kohberger: What The Internet Got Wrong First

Two conspiracy theories have trailed the University of Idaho murders since before Bryan Kohberger was ever arrested, and Tony Brueski tackles both in this combined look at the case for True Crime Today.  The first theory ruined an innocent man's life before Kohberger was ever named a suspect in this case. The internet decided a grieving young man who'd just lost the woman he loved was responsible, largely because he called her phone repeatedly that morning, something with a completely innocent explanation once you know the full timeline. We break down why the roommates waiting hours to call 911 isn't the smoking gun people think, what their private writings do and don't show, the theory that they were spared for being involved, and why a judge called the internet's alternate suspects rank speculation.  The second theory says Kohberger's DNA was planted on the knife sheath left behind at the scene. The lab that tested it says the amount recovered wasn't a faint trace, it was hundreds of times more genetic material than investigators typically find in a case like this one. We go through the unidentified blood inside the house, the mismatched DNA under a victim's fingernails, the hair people insist was staged, the claim that genetic genealogy was concealed from the court, and the Amazon order for that same knife.  No clean motive isn't proof of innocence, and a guilty plea stacked on top of DNA, phone records, car evidence, and scanner data isn't how wrongful conviction cases usually look. We separate the real open questions from the ones the internet invented, and explain why a missing motive never actually pointed at the wrong man here.  Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ [https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/]  Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video?
