In our third episode of season 2 join Wayne, Cowboy and Mo as they explore the roads of North America, one road at a time. In this episode the guys join the Orange Coast Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) chapter on a great three day ride through Death Valley including some great roads like Angeles Crest (CA - 2), Tehachapi Loop, Lake Isabella/Kern River, Panamint Valley and of course Death Valley. The guys will also go over some local history including: What engineering marvel helped trains get over Tehachapi Pass; What town boomed by providing a needed ingredient for Ammunition during World War I; and where was the final hideout for Charles Manson and the spot where he was finally arrested? In the end Mo will share some notes from the road. Join Wayne, Cowboy and Mo as they explore North America, one road at a time.  This episode they head to the San Diego border country with a nice stop at Otay Lakes before a spirited ride along the old stage coach road CA – 94. A second stop at the Jacumba hot springs and the old abandoned bath house and they dropping down to off road country in the desert and lunch at Ocotillo’s Red Feather Café. California Imperial Hwy or commonly known as S2 is part of the old Overland Stage route and is a scenic ride across the California desert.  The guys have a stop at the historic box canyon where the Mormon Battalion carved their way through the rocks and opened the passage west. In this episode the guys head up to the Central Coast to visit the Mission San Miguel and then a ride through Vinyard Canyon to the San Andreas Fault and Parkfield Cafe. After a great lunch they head south over the open range to the James Dean memorial and the little known Bitterwater road.  The guys will also go over some local history including: Who was the “Forgotten Friar” that established most of the California Missions?; How did Vineyard Canyon Road gets its name when there are no Vinyards on it? And who was the hollywood celebrity who crashed his brand new porche spyder on Hwy 46.  In the end Mo will share some notes from the road.
