aflevering Daily Dose of RE-Reflective Inspiration artwork

Daily Dose of RE-Reflective Inspiration

RE... is our daily dose of Reflective Inspiration! We have all had days when we feel like our world is crumbling. During such days I chose to Pause, take a breath, and rebalance. What about you? While on this journey called life, there are days when I need to pause, take a breath, and rebalance. Those are my most challenging days when I feel as though almost everything is caving in, nothing is going the way it should, and my emotions begin the process of running wild. Pausing enables me to be reflective and quiet my inner voices while shutting out the external noise. Taking a breath supports my slowing down to identify the experiences, connections, and work that is not loving to me nor mutually beneficial. Rebalancing helps me adjust the sails of my life and make transformative shifts to create purposes to live a fulfilled and abundant life of value for myself and others. I pause, take a breath, and rebalance without self-judgment, anxiety, fear of shame, or intimidation because these are my most productive moments. Because there is a power in pausing that propels me upward.

Overcoming Fatalistic Thinking

In this episode, Sherna Alexander Benjamin discusses some of the effects of fatalistic thinking, drawing on her experience. She defines fatalistic "as any period in a person’s life where fatalistic thinking guides their behaviors and shapes their life experiences to the point where an individual lives in fear. Believes that regardless of what they do, fatality will mar their life. So they live each day waiting to experience some type of fatality, setback, challenge, or adversity." Contributing to what Alexander Benjamin calls 'Prospective Crisis Mode' (PCM) and living life in a 'shoe drop mode' (SDM). She shares tips one can incorporate into their life patterns to support personal growth and development toward wholeness.   Connect with Alexander Benjamin on: Facebook [https://www.facebook.com/IntentionallyProgressive] | Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/intentionallyprogressive/] | email: unfrilled@gmail.com
