Jesus is the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, and the Savior of the world, but we often don't pay attention to the fact that He lived a human life too. Jesus's humanity connects us to Him in so many ways, and this can be seen by putting ourselves in His shoes during the moments of His betrayal. He understands where we are because He has been there Himself.
