Dr. Julie Shamas is a board-certified emergency physician with 25 years of frontline experience. Dr. Shamas has extensive training in disaster medicine, including CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear) response protocols. She has led hospital disaster drills across multiple healthcare systems, training doctors and staff on emergency preparedness at an institutional level.  Her federal experience includes work with DMAT (Disaster Medical Assistance Team), where she served in leadership, and collaboration with FBI rapid response teams in Texas. She has lectured medical professionals on real-world threats—not hypothetical scenarios, but documented events like the Aum Shinrikyo chemical attacks and projected threats to civilian infrastructure.
