This week we spoke to the Cardiff UCU strikers taking industrial action over: pay, pensions, equality and workloads.

In this episode we spoke to the fantastic, Cardiff based arts organisation, NewCELF! NewCELF are an organisation which aims to put on multi-disciplinary arts events for the promotion of Cardiff-based artists. A secondary goal is to remove distance between constituents of the arts varied mediumsthe blurring the boundaries of individual schools of art The Arts represent an outlet of human expression, that is usually influenced by culture and which in turn helps to change culture. As such, the arts are a physical manifestation of the internal human creative impulse. Major constituents of the arts include literature – including poetry, novels and short stories, and epics; performing arts – among them music, dance, and theatre; media arts like photography and film, and visual arts – including drawing, painting, and sculpting.

This week we were joined by artist and activist, Rabab Ghazoul from Gentle Radical. Gentle/Radical is a grassroots cultural organisation and platform for radical thinking, creative practice and social change.
