Friend and creative collaborator of over ten years, Mel V. joins host Cory Benjamin to discuss the idea of being aware and the meaning of awareness. The two met on set of an independent short film in 2009 and have since been a sounding board of reason and influence as each navigates big city life, building a career, film, photography, and generally being an informed, good citizen of the world. Mel V.’s voice is one of reason: practical and sensible, she gathers related information and considers many variables when drawing conclusions. The two also discuss how upbringing and identity shape perspective and inform awareness, as well as mull over the nuances of sympathy and empathy and how both contribute to our ability increase our awareness.

Actor and friend Colby Lane Chambers joins host Cory Benjamin to discuss his understanding of being aware and the application of awareness both on and off the stage, including during his dramatic training at The Juilliard School.
