WHAT'S NEXT - The CAP (Charging Analytics Program) Report

You’re interested in where, how and what kind of EV chargers to install. Where do you begin? The Transportation Energy Institute’s (TEI) Charging Analytics Program (CAP) is now offering a comprehensive Quarterly Benchmarking Reports that enables users to analyze data relative to the performance of DC Fast Chargers throughout North America. The data is presented in different groupings, allowing readers to compare the influence of utilization based upon a difference in key variables such as: * charger power * proximity to a particular business * proximity to a highway ramp In addition, the data is presented in comparative clusters of counties with similar demographic characteristics which have a high statistical correlation to charger utilization. The data shows actual and historic charger utilization percentages, number of charging sessions per port per month, when charging sessions were initiated (day of week and time of day), how long those sessions lasted and how frequently chargers failed to initiate a charging session. WHAT'S NEXT - Consumer Survey: 2025 Driver Behaviors and Perspectives

The consumers’ perspective evolves based on their general mindset around the overall economy and their own personal preferences, and this mindset can impact which vehicle technologies or energy options will be most successful. It is essential to understand what they think and how they behave to ensure that the solutions being offered to them fit their needs and preferences. John and Jeff discuss our recent white paper which presents findings from a recent consumer survey to help decision makers better understand the driver. As with all surveys, the results reflect how respondents answered questions at a given moment in time.
