Following three fatal shootings in a single day and five homicides within a week, Virgin Islands officials held a special press briefing urging residents to help investigators solve a growing number of gun violence cases. The Virgin Islands Port Authority has asked for permission to intervene in the government's eviction case against Island Laundries, arguing that legislation transferring ownership of the Subbase parcels to VIPA gives the Authority a direct legal interest in the dispute.
