Commitment is a decision. And when you make a decision, you create boundaries. Those boundaries begin to shape your choices. You’re saying: this is the direction I’m choosing. You’re declaring your dedication to that path. And somewhere inside of that dedication… clarity begins to form. Because commitment isn’t always about having everything figured out first. Sometimes clarity meets you after you’ve chosen. Proverbs 3:5: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”There’s something so poetic about that to me. It’s the idea that faith asks you to move even when your mind can’t map the whole road. And then in Romans 10:9, it says that if you declare with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord, you will be saved. Even that begins with a declaration, a commitment, spoken out loud. Sometimes the power isn’t just in the knowing. It’s in the DECISION.
