HE IS LORD, HE IS RISEN ALLELUIA ALLELUIA: HAPPY EASTER 2026
Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/224168/fan_mail/new] Welcome to the celebration of the greatest and most important feast in the Church. - “Easter” which literally means “the feast of fresh flowers.” We celebrate it with pride and jubilation because it marks the birthday of our eternal hope. Easter, the feast of the Resurrection, gives us the joyful message that we are a “Resurrection people.” It is a feast which gives us hope and encouragement in this world of pain, sorrows, fears, and tears. Easter reminds us that life is worth living. No longer are we supposed to lie buried in the tomb of our sins, our evil habits, and our dangerous addictions. Today we celebrate the Good News that no tombs can hold us down any longer – not the tombs of despair, discouragement, doubt, unforgiveness, anxiety, or death itself. Instead, we are expected to live a joyful and peaceful life, constantly experiencing the real Presence of the Risen Lord in all the events of our lives. “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad” (Ps 118:24). PALM (PASSION) SUNDAY 2026
Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/224168/fan_mail/new] Throughout the Sundays of Lent especially this Sunday, not withstanding during Holy week - our Holy Mother, church, invites us to feast on God’s Word in a deeper way than perhaps at any other time in the liturgical year. As disciples, our whole Christian life must be nourished not only by the sacraments, but by the Word of God. As Lent comes to a close, we are invited to participate in these long readings and the passion narratives to make them present to us, here and now. Remembering that God's words do not just describe but make things happen. The Passion narrative sum up the action that Jesus took in order to save us. St Paul puts it so beautifully for us in the 2nd reading - Christ was humble enough to empty himself of his divinity to enter into our world, To suffer and die for us in order to save us. As followers of Christ, we too are called to this same humility, to empty ourselves to enter into the lives of brothers and sisters. Suffer with them in order to draw them to God. Are you up to the challenge? That's our prayer for today. Support the show [https://www.buzzsprout.com/224168/support]
"COME OUT": 5th Sunday of Lent A
Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/224168/fan_mail/new] Friends in Christ, the readings this Sunday are clear evidence that actions have consequences. In the 1st reading, we see that when God gets involved with his people, they live because God is life. God says to Israel, "I will open your graves and raise you from your graves, my people. And I shall put my spirit in you, and you will live ...and you will know that I am the Lord" In the 2nd reading St Paul tells the Christinas in Rome that if they possess the spirit of Christ, they belong to Christ adding that if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, then he who raised Jesus from the dead will give life to your own mortal bodies through his Spirit living in you. In the gospel, when Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, he could no longer fly under the radar. By raising Lazarus from the dead Jesus attracted the attention of his enemies and set himself on a path that ultimately led to the cross. As followers of Christ, there are times when we will have to make a decisive and public choice for our faith or our values, in fact that is every single day of our lives. Standing up for the truth and what is right may bring praise or lead to misunderstanding or even persecution. We can draw strength in these decisive moments from the knowledge that the One we follow is the resurrection and the life. Any risk we take in following him is worth it in the end.
