DOING MEDITATION 15 MINUTES VS HAVING A MEDITATIVE MIND 24 BY 7! - INTRODUCTION Welcome back to the 27th episode of Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure! Today’s episode titled “Doing Meditation 15 Minutes Vs Having A Meditative Mind 24 by 7!” will tell you about skeletal meditation emptying the mind and then keeping it empty for kundalini awakening. “Breathing is the highest form of meditation.” That is not me talking but a quote often attributed to different eminent authors or philosophers. In fact, meditation has been revered as a highly esteemed practice in human culture ever since human society took shape with sociocultural evolution. SKELETAL LEAP, the mind body connection for mind and body healing, is a giant leap that our skeleton [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skeleton] can take through the way it postures its joints. I had stumbled upon this miracle many years ago, coincidentally DOING MEDITATION 15 MINUTES VS HAVING A MEDITATIVE MIND 24 BY 7! - SHOW NOTES In this thought-provoking episode of Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure, titled “Doing Meditation 15 Minutes Vs Having A Meditative Mind 24 by 7!”, I explore the profound connection between mindfulness and daily activities.  Discover how to transform mundane tasks into opportunities for meditation by embracing the present moment with joy and awareness. I dive deep into the essence of skeletal meditation, emphasizing the importance of emptying the mind to facilitate Kundalini awakening. I further highlight that true meditation transcends the conventional notion of sitting in silence; it can be integrated into every action we undertake. Citing a survey from the National Institutes of Health, I reveal that many people meditate for wellness, energy, and improved concentration. Yet, I question the effectiveness of traditional meditation practices that often lead to mental lethargy rather than genuine relaxation. Through engaging anecdotes and insightful reflections, this episode challenges you to rethink your approach to meditation. I illustrate how savoring each moment—whether eating, talking, or even experiencing discomfort—can lead to a deeper sense of awareness and fulfillment. Join me as I guide you on a journey to make mindfulness a natural part of your life, encouraging you to embrace the joy of living in the present and transforming every action into a meditative experience. It is possible when we keep enjoying what we are 0:00:08.640,0:00:24.800 doing every single moment of it. My name is Laadi Ojas. Welcome 0:00:24.800,0:00:34.080 to “Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure”. Skeletal  Leap transforms one’s life into a personal heaven. 0:00:34.080,0:00:39.120 Today’s episode will tell you about  skeletal meditation emptying the mind 0:00:39.120,0:00:43.680 and then keeping it empty for kundalini awakening. 0:00:43.680,0:00:50.640 “Breathing is the highest form of meditation.”  That is not me talking but a quote often 0:00:50.640,0:00:57.840 attributed to different eminent authors or  philosophers. In fact, meditation has been 0:00:57.840,0:01:04.320 revered as a highly esteemed practice in human  culture ever since human society took shape with 0:01:04.320,0:01:10.720 sociocultural evolution. Lately, though, it  has almost become a fashionable trend among 0:01:10.720,0:01:18.560 the elite for their wellness concerns. On the  other hand, people with a deep faith in religion 0:01:18.560,0:01:26.000 follow it as a religious or spiritual practice.  Thirdly, people with different kinds of lifestyle 0:01:26.000,0:01:34.080 diseases are also advised to sit in meditation by  none less than their own healthcare specialists. 0:01:34.080,0:01:39.120 The modus operandi of such meditations  has mostly been to sit in an erect 0:01:39.120,0:01:45.760 posture with eyes closed for a certain  duration of time. During this period, 0:01:45.760,0:01:51.360 the meditators are supposed to do  something specific with their mind. 0:01:51.360,0:01:58.720 What that something is widely varies depending  on what they want it to achieve for them. 0:01:58.720,0:02:04.240 It looks like people have such great faith in  meditation that they feel it can provide them 0:02:04.240,0:02:10.560 with all kinds of things they seek. Why People Meditate 0:02:10.560,0:02:16.320 A survey published by the National Institutes  of Health in America on their National Library 0:02:16.320,0:02:24.800 of Medicine practicing revealed that 76.2% of  common people use meditation for general wellness 0:02:24.800,0:02:34.960 or disease prevention, 60% to improve their energy  and 50% to improve their memory or concentration. 0:02:34.960,0:02:40.640 Hence people’s priorities for what they  expect out of meditation the most seem to be: 0:02:41.760,0:02:48.720 Health and wellness | 2. Energy  | 3. Memory or concentration 0:02:49.360,0:02:57.040 How do we think meditation would be able to do  what we want it to do for us? And, that too, just 0:02:57.040,0:03:04.320 by doing it for an hour a day? For the remaining  twenty-three hours, we are again going back to our 0:03:04.320,0:03:10.880 unhealthy state of mind-body disposition. Sitting for meditation for an hour or so 0:03:10.880,0:03:16.000 has just become a fashion to satisfy  ourselves of doing something good. 0:03:16.720,0:03:23.600 It rather strengthens our ego further. How People Meditate 0:03:23.600,0:03:30.560 Also, what exactly do we do when we sit in  meditation with our eyes closed? Here are a 0:03:30.560,0:03:35.680 few things that people are guided  to do in the name of meditation: 0:03:35.680,0:03:41.200 Chanting mantras or affirmations  | Counting beads | Counting 0:03:41.200,0:03:48.240 breaths | Concentrating on a  thought | Imagining a sequence 0:03:48.240,0:03:54.800 The above kinds of practices just numb  the mind, sending it to a kind of stupor. 0:03:54.800,0:04:01.600 It makes one feel as if one has become  relaxed. But that is not what relaxation 0:04:01.600,0:04:12.080 means. A lethargic mind is not a relaxed mind. Mindfulness meditation, at least at face value, 0:04:12.080,0:04:19.200 seems to be a better alternative for relaxing  the mind. Mindfulness means focusing the mind 0:04:19.200,0:04:26.080 on being an aware witness to whatever comes  to it from moment to moment. People sit down 0:04:26.080,0:04:31.520 in a cross-legged posture and start  making all kinds of efforts to become 0:04:31.520,0:04:40.000 aware of their minds’ dynamic content. But mind, as such, is a fidgety child! 0:04:40.000,0:04:48.640 It doesn’t pay much heed to our efforts. In fact,  it loves to keep jumping from one casual thought, 0:04:48.640,0:04:57.040 thing or action to another, like a monkey. We try to witness it in its movement with 0:04:57.040,0:05:05.440 our total awareness. It doesn’t say no.  But then, it stealthily slips away from 0:05:05.440,0:05:13.280 under our attentive control to some of its  other unaware, casual concerns. We always 0:05:13.280,0:05:21.520 need to keep bringing our awareness back on track. But the problem is it gets bored over there in its 0:05:21.520,0:05:29.120 pursuit of awareness. The very nature of the mind  is to keep jumping from one concern to another, 0:05:29.120,0:05:36.800 unaware. And the reason is that it is  full of concerns, not only consciously 0:05:36.800,0:05:44.080 but unconsciously as well. It tends to keep  scanning everything within its consciousness 0:05:44.080,0:05:51.440 and even underneath it, unconsciously. It is this point alone that mindfulness, 0:05:51.440,0:05:58.080 at its best, can take us to. We need to  continuously keep exerting the pressure 0:05:58.080,0:06:05.360 of our determination on the mind to tame  it into being aware the way we want it to. 0:06:05.360,0:06:10.720 But then, who is this ‘we’ who is making  all this Herculean effort to tame our 0:06:10.720,0:06:18.880 mind? Isn’t it a part of our mind alone? Anyway, even if we are able to relax the 0:06:18.880,0:06:26.160 mind for an hour or so, it is not of much  use. We are again going to fall back into 0:06:26.160,0:06:34.080 the same unhealthy disposition. How do  we expect it to do permanent good to us? 0:06:34.080,0:06:40.880 On top of it, the very idea of relaxing  the mind is contradictory in itself. 0:06:41.760,0:06:48.800 Mind in itself is the name of an entity full  of contradictions, thereby fragmenting itself, 0:06:48.800,0:06:57.920 and hence, fragmenting our ‘self’. As we already  saw in Episode 20, those fragmented parts keep 0:06:57.920,0:07:07.040 fighting with one another, making a noise. That is  what is called a chattering mind. The techniques 0:07:07.040,0:07:15.200 listed above try to merely calm it down by  turning it numb or exerting pressure on it. 0:07:15.200,0:07:22.720 But the only rational way to stop its chattering  is emptying its content. That is what we call 0:07:22.720,0:07:30.080 emptying the mind. We have already discussed  it in its operative details in the Episode 0:07:30.080,0:07:39.520 26. And that is what meditation must  do if it is to do any real good to us. 0:07:39.520,0:07:46.320 At the same time, any such ‘real good’ should  preferably not be limited to any specific duration 0:07:46.320,0:07:55.120 of time. It should happen twenty-four hours a  day, three-hundred and sixty-five days a year. 0:07:55.120,0:08:01.360 That simply means we should try to replace sitting  for meditation with being meditative all day long. 0:08:02.240,0:08:07.360 And that can only be done by  making it our first nature. 0:08:07.360,0:08:14.880 Meditating Vs Being Meditative Once a truly meditative state is reached, 0:08:14.880,0:08:21.600 we no more need to keep sitting for meditation  everyday. We simply need to live in a meditative 0:08:21.600,0:08:28.400 state all day long. Once we have learnt  how to do this, we need to say goodbye 0:08:28.400,0:08:34.800 to the idea of ‘sitting in meditation’. We need to empty our mind with every single 0:08:34.800,0:08:42.400 breath exhaled while our chakras are open. This  will mean that we can be meditative even while 0:08:42.400,0:08:50.880 talking to someone, smoking a cigarette, sipping  our wine or while making love, for that matter. 0:08:50.880,0:08:59.920 Turning Every Action into Meditation How can we turn whatever we do into a meditation? 0:08:59.920,0:09:06.640 It is possible when we keep enjoying what we are  doing every single moment of it. It makes us fully 0:09:06.640,0:09:14.160 involved into the action with total awareness as  opposed to getting indulged into it habitually. 0:09:14.160,0:09:20.080 Let us suppose that we are doing something  that we like doing a lot. There is every 0:09:20.080,0:09:27.040 risk of getting indulged into its action by  emotionally getting attached to it. Let’s 0:09:27.040,0:09:34.640 take an example of eating our most favorite dish.  Even before we start tasting it, we have already 0:09:34.640,0:09:42.000 conditioned our taste glands to taste something  familiar that we like. And when we taste it, 0:09:42.000,0:09:51.040 we don’t really taste it right now, we just taste  our past perception of it. We live our mental past 0:09:51.040,0:09:58.240 while chronologically being in the present. That  is how the mind affects the brain’s perception by 0:09:58.240,0:10:07.520 falsely limiting it to a perception of the past. Now let us play a game. In the same scenario, 0:10:07.520,0:10:14.960 let us pretend we have lost our memory. We no  more remember that it is our favorite dish nor 0:10:14.960,0:10:23.920 its taste. It depends on how good an actor we  are, being our own audience at the same time. 0:10:23.920,0:10:31.440 Let us start eating it now. We would effectively  be tasting it for the first time in our life. 0:10:31.440,0:10:37.520 If we are unable to feign loss of memory,  let us take our first bite very slowly, 0:10:37.520,0:10:44.560 tasting it in its totality. This, too, will  effectively result in the feeling that we 0:10:44.560,0:10:51.520 are tasting it for the first time in our life. Do you see a parallel between the two actions, 0:10:51.520,0:10:58.800 i.e, pretending to have lost one’s memory and  performing an action slowly in its totality? The 0:10:58.800,0:11:07.120 result is the same in both scenarios. When we do  something slow enough to do it in its totality, we 0:11:07.120,0:11:15.200 have already kept our emotional mind aside which  is akin to keeping our emotional memory aside. 0:11:15.200,0:11:21.360 And we taste the dish like we are tasting  it for the first time in our life. This 0:11:21.360,0:11:29.680 amounts to tasting it in the present moment.  Liking or not liking it is no more relevant. 0:11:30.400,0:11:38.880 What matters is tasting it afresh with all  its passion and joy or even pain (if so ever). 0:11:38.880,0:11:46.000 Let’s repeat the same experiment, this time  with a dish that we dislike the most. As we 0:11:46.000,0:11:52.960 slowly taste it afresh in its totality,  disliking it is not relevant anymore. 0:11:53.680,0:12:02.320 What matters is tasting it afresh with all  its passion and pain or even joy (if so ever). 0:12:02.320,0:12:08.960 When we perform an action slowly enough to be  able to do it in its totality, we are no more 0:12:08.960,0:12:18.000 governed by our mind. It is our nervous system  that takes over. And our nervous system is way 0:12:18.000,0:12:27.200 more intelligent than our mind. It does things  with passion and joy or even pain. All emotional 0:12:27.200,0:12:35.440 strings attached to the past experiences of liking  or disliking simply vanish into thin air. And 0:12:35.440,0:12:43.920 the nervous system then performs actions without  ever emotionally liking or disliking them at all. 0:12:43.920,0:12:49.600 I don’t mean to say that slowness of an action  is the only thing that leads to its totality. 0:12:50.720,0:12:58.400 At times, it is just the opposite that works.  For example, running to save a child from 0:12:58.400,0:13:06.240 being overrun by a speeding car works in its  totality only when done miraculously fast. 0:13:06.240,0:13:12.320 However, these same types of slow or fast  actions, when non-meditative, are either 0:13:12.320,0:13:20.800 lethargic or impulsive, performing those actions  either extra-slow or extra-fast. That is when we 0:13:20.800,0:13:27.520 call them mental lethargy or mental hurry.  The key difference is that when the brain 0:13:27.520,0:13:34.560 is in charge in an independent capacity, which  is what I’m calling the truly meditative state, 0:13:34.560,0:13:42.880 the speed of the action turns optimum; it is  neither extra-slow nor extra-fast. The same 0:13:42.880,0:13:49.040 happens to the quality of the action as well. Mental lethargy and mental hurry as 0:13:49.040,0:13:55.520 anti-meditative symptoms were never  as serious as they have become today. 0:13:55.520,0:14:01.280 The two are solely responsible for  human actions being non-meditative. 0:14:01.280,0:14:07.920 It doesn’t have to be that way because, as we just  saw above, being meditative all through the day, 0:14:07.920,0:14:15.600 in whatever we do, is no rocket science. And when we enter that meditative state, we no 0:14:15.600,0:14:24.720 longer need to ‘sit’ in time-limited meditation.  The very things we do become meditative. The mind 0:14:24.720,0:14:30.080 no longer controls the brain and is restricted  to play the role that it has been designed to 0:14:30.080,0:14:39.600 perform. When the brain performs an action in its  totality, it does register it in its memory cells. 0:14:39.600,0:14:46.480 But that memory is not accessible to the mind. That is how the mind gets trained to remain 0:14:46.480,0:14:52.960 empty and keep doing its job of  comprehending reality quietly. 0:14:52.960,0:14:59.760 A meditative action full of joy performed in  its totality with passion leaves no desire 0:14:59.760,0:15:08.480 for recreating it in the future. Similarly, a  meditative action, even if loaded with pain, 0:15:08.480,0:15:15.520 performed in its totality with passion leaves  no anxiety of avoiding it in the future, 0:15:15.520,0:15:22.000 regardless of whether that need to avoid pain  is based on the brain’s objective memory rather 0:15:22.000,0:15:29.600 than the mind’s emotional memory. When similar  situations ever arise in the future, they become 0:15:29.600,0:15:38.560 entirely new actions performed afresh right then.  In both cases, no conditioning of the mind occurs, 0:15:38.560,0:15:46.880 thus always keeping it empty. We are only left  with an objective memory of the joy or the pain 0:15:46.880,0:15:53.920 which our brain remembers along with all the  other details of the said actions spontaneously. 0:15:53.920,0:15:59.360 But old habits die hard. Our already conditioned minds 0:15:59.360,0:16:06.480 pose a tough challenge to being emptied out in  the beginning. For example, when we go out in 0:16:06.480,0:16:13.440 the scorching sun in a hot climate, our mind  contracts our facial muscles. That is how it 0:16:13.440,0:16:19.760 may turn into an attack of tension headache for  a certain duration of time. The same happens 0:16:19.760,0:16:28.720 in a snowy blizzard in a cold climate. All these  are conditioned reactions of a conditioned mind. 0:16:28.720,0:16:35.280 Let’s take another example to address this  problem. Suppose we got an attack of tension 0:16:35.280,0:16:44.480 headache. When it occurs, we generally tend to  avoid it. But it keeps forcing its pain not only 0:16:44.480,0:16:51.280 in our head but also on our psyche.     That is how trying to avoid it doubles 0:16:51.280,0:16:56.320 its uneasiness on our system. The meditative way to deal with 0:16:56.320,0:17:06.320 it is to stop trying to avoid it. Let us rather  accept it by sensing it in its totality. That is 0:17:06.320,0:17:12.880 what people never do in general. What happens next? 0:17:12.880,0:17:18.320 As soon as the mind is sidelined by such  emotional acceptance, the brain takes 0:17:18.320,0:17:26.960 the charge. We are left with sensing the said  action in its totality with passion and pain. 0:17:26.960,0:17:33.680 The nervous system swiftly assesses something  wrong in the system. It also recognizes the 0:17:33.680,0:17:40.080 source of the pain in the muscles of the head  being pulled down and tucked in. As soon as the 0:17:40.080,0:17:46.480 neural signals direct the contracted muscles  to relax, pain vanishes leaving our senses 0:17:46.480,0:17:54.880 with passion and joy instead of passion and pain. The mind remains empty until it gets afflicted by 0:17:54.880,0:18:01.840 another habitual pattern of its conditionings. This way, through being meditative all along, 0:18:01.840,0:18:07.520 we can go on emptying our mind  of its conditionings one by one. 0:18:07.520,0:18:14.400 Emptying Mind And Then Keeping It Empty But as we have seen earlier, there is a 0:18:14.400,0:18:22.560 much better way out. That way is through opening  all the chakras via skeletal re-posturing and then 0:18:22.560,0:18:30.000 addressing the extended exhalation of breath.  The said impeccable procedure infuses every 0:18:30.000,0:18:37.760 single moment with passion and joy, with action  or without it. That is because breathing becomes 0:18:37.760,0:18:45.360 an effortless action turning all other actions  meditative as well, as and when they take place. 0:18:45.360,0:18:48.960 The procedure of Skeletal Leap  rewards us with a surge of 0:18:48.960,0:18:56.560 inexplicable joy with every single breath. Every single extended exhalation rejuvenates 0:18:56.560,0:19:01.440 the entire nervous system by keeping  the mind emptied for its duration. 0:19:02.160,0:19:09.760 Skeletal Leap has the power to enable us, the  Homo sapiens, for our next evolutionary leap. 0:19:09.760,0:19:16.720 Thanks for listening to this episode of Skeletal  Leap: A Living Adventure! In the next episode, 0:19:16.720,0:19:23.920 I will tell you about human achievements vs  losses through homo sapiens bipedal evolution. 0:19:23.920,0:19:30.000 Be a part of Skeletal Leap Community!  Subscribe to Skeletal Leap Newsletter. Doing Meditation 15 Minutes Vs Having A Meditative Mind 24 by 7! – Podcast Episode 27

EMPTY YOUR MIND WITH THIS SIMPLE DIAPHRAGMATIC BREATHING TECHNIQUE! - INTRODUCTION Welcome back to the 26th episode of Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure! Today’s episode titled “Empty Your Mind with This Simple Diaphragmatic Breathing Technique!” will tell you about emptying the mind via breathing energy and breathing insight with every single breath for kundalini awakening. Breathing becomes the perception of energy with every single exhalation as chakras are opened, removing all obstacles in its way. The way from the coccyx (at the pelvis) to the crown (at the top of the head) gets fully cleared. SKELETAL LEAP, the mind body connection for mind and body healing, is a giant leap that our skeleton [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skeleton] can take through the way it postures its joints. I had stumbled upon this miracle many years ago, coincidentally EMPTY YOUR MIND WITH THIS SIMPLE DIAPHRAGMATIC BREATHING TECHNIQUE! - SHOW NOTES Welcome back to the 26th episode of Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure! In this episode, titled “Empty Your Mind with This Simple Diaphragmatic Breathing Technique!” I explore an intimate connection between breathwork and Kundalini awakening.  Discover how each exhalation can serve as a gateway to clearing the chakras, facilitating the flow of life energy from the coccyx to the crown, and unlocking deep insights. I first explain the mechanics of breathing, emphasizing the importance of diaphragmatic breathing in activating Kundalini energy.  I also share personal anecdotes, illustrating how the mind can be emptied and the body rejuvenated through conscious breath control.  Learn how the release of vital energy can lead to an exhilarating sense of joy and passion that remains fresh and spontaneous. The episode also examines the interplay of the chakras and breathing styles, detailing how the ancient concept of Prana relates to our modern understanding of respiratory health.  Gain insights into the three types of breathing styles and their implications on our overall well-being. As I recount a thrilling personal adventure in the Himalayas, I highlight the importance of surrendering the mind to the body during moments of challenge, revealing how this can lead to profound clarity and a sense of invincibility.  This episode is a must-listen for anyone seeking to deepen their understanding of breathwork and its transformative potential. * Introduction: Introduction to breathing energy and insight * Breathing and Kundalini Activation: How breathing activates Kundalini * The Power of Diaphragmatic Breathing: How diaphragmatic breathing empties the mind with its extended exhalations * Personal Anecdote: Personal story of an adventure and mind emptying * Sustaining An Empty Mind: Techniques to maintain an empty mind through breath EMPTY YOUR MIND WITH THIS SIMPLE DIAPHRAGMATIC BREATHING TECHNIQUE! - CHAPTERS Chapters: (00:00:01) - How Kundalini Activates in the Body (00:07:46) - Breathing as Prana (00:12:59) - How diaphragmatic breathing empties the mind EMPTY YOUR MIND WITH THIS SIMPLE DIAPHRAGMATIC BREATHING TECHNIQUE! - VIDEO EMPTY YOUR MIND WITH THIS SIMPLE DIAPHRAGMATIC BREATHING TECHNIQUE! - TRANSCRIPT WITH TIMESTAMPS 0:00:00.960,0:00:05.120 What else do we want on earth?  It is like finding a perpetual 0:00:05.120,0:00:21.920 goldmine (if gold is really as important as this)! 0:00:21.920,0:00:26.400 My name is Laadi Ojas. Welcome to “Skeletal Leap: 0:00:26.400,0:00:34.160 A Living Adventure”. Skeletal Leap  transforms one’s life into a personal heaven. 0:00:34.160,0:00:38.080 Today’s episode will tell you about  emptying the mind via breathing 0:00:38.080,0:00:45.120 energy and breathing insight with every  single breath for kundalini awakening. 0:00:45.120,0:00:51.200 Breathing becomes the perception of energy with  every single exhalation as chakras are opened, 0:00:51.200,0:00:56.240 removing all obstacles in its  way. The way from the coccyx 0:00:56.240,0:01:02.400 (at the pelvis) to the crown (at the  top of the head) gets fully cleared. 0:01:02.400,0:01:07.760 How Breathing Activates Kundalini Kundalini rises from the gut to the 0:01:07.760,0:01:14.560 brain as it works through the nervous system. It  does so through the spinal cord provided the 0:01:14.560,0:01:22.560 chakras are open. And this is not a one-time  event. It rises every single time the breath 0:01:22.560,0:01:29.360 gets almost fully exhaled in an absolutely  quiet manner. There is no force that needs 0:01:29.360,0:01:37.360 to be exerted at all while exhaling. This way,  it keeps the flow of kundalini, aka insightful 0:01:37.360,0:01:45.120 intelligence, intact incessantly through  the passage of time, every time. Therefore, 0:01:45.120,0:01:53.520 another way to think of kundalini is life energy  that is personalized as insightful intelligence. 0:01:53.520,0:02:01.120 The first time kundalini rises through a person’s  spine via the vagus nerve or Sushumna, it may (or 0:02:01.120,0:02:08.640 may not) manifest as tantrums. These tantrums  can take the form of one of several different 0:02:08.640,0:02:16.800 reactions depending on the person’s psychological  and neurological disposition. Some feel this first 0:02:16.800,0:02:24.400 rise as an electrifying shock from the left-over  impediments along its way. Some others feel it as 0:02:24.400,0:02:32.880 a sense of extreme joy never experienced before.  There is a full spectrum of reactions as varied 0:02:32.880,0:02:40.560 as there are persons who feel and express  those reactions. Once the initial honeymoon 0:02:40.560,0:02:49.040 (or nightmare) is over, it settles down as a  conscious creative potential in the coccyx again. 0:02:49.040,0:02:54.880 One cannot take it for granted that this process  will occur automatically over and over again, 0:02:54.880,0:03:01.680 thereby falling back in their mechanical ways  of life from before. Getting this life energy 0:03:01.680,0:03:07.520 of insightful intelligence transferred to  the brain with every single breath still lies 0:03:07.520,0:03:14.800 firmly within the conscious domain of awareness.  Therefore, one needs to keep one’s chakras open 0:03:14.800,0:03:23.200 as one’s first nature. Once this is successfully  achieved, one needs to become conscious of every 0:03:23.200,0:03:31.440 single breath, no matter what one is doing. You might now wonder, “Won’t focusing on every 0:03:31.440,0:03:38.640 single breath divide our attention whenever we  need to focus on something else of importance?” 0:03:38.640,0:03:43.520 Not at all! The focus is not  on the breath but, instead, 0:03:43.520,0:03:50.720 on the joy of one’s involvement into the action. This will ensure that our attention is focused 0:03:50.720,0:03:57.680 on that very moment. In fact, it stops us  from drifting into the domain of the mind 0:03:57.680,0:04:05.360 whose emotional emphasis is on past memories and  future imaginations. This type of focus keeps 0:04:05.360,0:04:10.880 us centrally fixated in the process of thinking  rather than getting swayed by thoughts which is 0:04:10.880,0:04:17.520 what unconsciously disturbs our attention. For this to happen seamlessly, 0:04:17.520,0:04:24.160 we don’t even need to count our breaths. That will only make it as mechanical as any 0:04:24.160,0:04:31.360 other meaningless rituals people employ to  increase concentration like counting beads. 0:04:31.360,0:04:38.320 Concentration and attention aka focus  are two different things altogether! 0:04:38.320,0:04:44.640 Here is something really beautiful. Once the  insight of energy has gotten awakened as a 0:04:44.640,0:04:51.920 potential, every single extended exhalation  of breath performs a miracle. It fills the 0:04:51.920,0:04:59.520 head and the pelvic region simultaneously with an  extreme sense of joy and passion. This joy always 0:04:59.520,0:05:07.120 remains as fresh, passionate and spontaneous  as it was when we felt it the very first time. 0:05:07.120,0:05:13.440 Imagine having a passionate joy of cosmic orgasm  at the crown chakra and a sexual orgasm at the 0:05:13.440,0:05:21.280 pelvis simultaneously with every single exhalation  of breath forever! It quite likely occurs due 0:05:21.280,0:05:30.240 to an optimum release of serotonin, dopamine,  oxytocin and endorphins in the nervous system. 0:05:30.240,0:05:35.760 What else do we want on earth? It is  like finding a perpetual goldmine (if 0:05:35.760,0:05:41.920 gold is really as important as this)! What actually happens is that we train 0:05:41.920,0:05:50.160 ourselves to adopt ‘lightness’ as a personality  style. And we do this while equipping ourselves 0:05:50.160,0:05:59.200 with its traits, namely, interest, insight  and adventure. Not even the acutest stress 0:05:59.200,0:06:05.920 can pull us off-track any more. It is like  utilizing the ‘smart vagus’ of Stephen Porges’ 0:06:05.920,0:06:12.720 Polyvagal Theory. That is what strengthens  us in the face of an otherwise sympathetic 0:06:12.720,0:06:19.840 nervous system response of ‘fight or flight’. In fact, we have done something even bigger 0:06:19.840,0:06:30.000 than this. We have emptied our mind along the  way. And in doing so, we have become invincible. 0:06:30.000,0:06:36.880 And we keep renewing the entire procedure  with every single breath! We no more fear even 0:06:36.880,0:06:45.440 the most imminent of threats - death. We have  discovered the most artistic way to live life, 0:06:45.440,0:06:53.760 live it here and live it now. And we have learnt  how to do it, here and now and, best of all, 0:06:53.760,0:07:01.280 using clear, physical and measurable techniques. Consciously extending exhalations a little 0:07:01.280,0:07:08.880 longer than inhalations after opening all the  seven chakras does it all. And it does it well 0:07:08.880,0:07:17.120 too. It is simple. It is no rocket science. As this combination of keeping chakras open 0:07:17.120,0:07:22.480 while extending exhalations a little longer  than inhalations becomes our first nature, 0:07:22.480,0:07:30.160 the miracle happens. We no more need to keep an  account of both these processes separately in a 0:07:30.160,0:07:38.160 list of ‘things to do’. We just perceive its  effect as a sense of non-stop passionate joy. 0:07:38.880,0:07:46.800 If ever a break is perceived in that joy, we  immediately need to set it right then and there. 0:07:46.800,0:07:52.320 Breathing As Prana Breathing is not just a simple exchange of 0:07:52.320,0:07:59.760 gases within the lungs. It is way more than that.  That is why in the ancient chakra scriptures, 0:07:59.760,0:08:07.040 it has been named as ‘Prana’ meaning the basic  core of life energy. It is conceived as having the 0:08:07.040,0:08:16.960 following five types of winds in the human system: Prana - located at head, lungs and heart with an 0:08:16.960,0:08:26.160 inward and downward movement, empties the mind Apana - located at lower abdomen with an 0:08:26.160,0:08:32.400 outward and downward movement, activates  healthy digestive and reproductive systems 0:08:34.080,0:08:40.160 Udana - located at thoracic diaphragm and  throat with an upward movement activates 0:08:40.160,0:08:49.120 healthy respiratory and communication systems Samana - located at navel with a spirally churning 0:08:49.120,0:08:58.400 movement over there activates healthy metabolism Vyana - located along circulatory system with 0:08:58.400,0:09:04.640 outward movement activates healthy  circulatory and nervous systems 0:09:04.640,0:09:10.960 There is also a mention of ‘Nadis’ meaning  channels in the body like nerves, arteries, 0:09:10.960,0:09:18.800 veins, capillaries, bronchioles, and lymph  canals. The main three among them are: 0:09:20.480,0:09:27.920 Ida - controls mental processes Pingala - controls vital processes 0:09:28.720,0:09:34.000 Sushumna - connects the root  chakra to the crown chakra 0:09:34.000,0:09:40.480 Breathing is a biological process of moving air  out from and into the lungs thus replacing carbon 0:09:40.480,0:09:46.720 dioxide with oxygen. The exchange takes  place in the alveoli through diffusion 0:09:46.720,0:09:53.680 as the gases are transported to and from the  cells by the circulatory system. This makes 0:09:53.680,0:10:01.760 cellular respiration possible where cells extract  energy from digested food through its oxidation. 0:10:01.760,0:10:07.600 Carbon dioxide is generated as a waste product  which then needs to be expelled out of the body 0:10:07.600,0:10:15.120 through external respiration called breathing. Breathing also controls speaking, laughing, 0:10:15.120,0:10:22.560 creating facial expressions and reflexes  like yawning, coughing and sneezing. The 0:10:22.560,0:10:28.160 respiratory tract has the following different  parts in it to perform all these activities: 0:10:28.880,0:10:36.640 Upper airways – nasal cavities  comprising nostrils, pharynx and larynx 0:10:36.640,0:10:44.400 Lower airways – comprising trachea, mainstem  bronchus, lobar bronchus, segmental bronchus, 0:10:44.400,0:10:53.520 bronchiole and alveolar duct named alveolus Three Different Breathing Styles 0:10:53.520,0:10:59.760 There are three different breathing styles  that people adopt as a lifelong habit. 0:11:00.320,0:11:06.800 Diaphragmatic breathing (Deep breathing) is done  by contracting thoracic diaphragm for inhaling 0:11:06.800,0:11:14.960 air inside the lungs. It is a muscle located  between the thoracic and the abdominal cavities. 0:11:14.960,0:11:22.560 It comprises slow and deep inhalation through the  nose followed by slow and complete exhalation. 0:11:22.560,0:11:29.200 Diaphragmatic breathing improves the blood flow  while reducing pulse rate and blood pressure. It 0:11:29.200,0:11:34.560 also relaxes the vagal nerve and optimizes the  sympathetic mode of the nervous system which 0:11:34.560,0:11:41.360 is the source of a ‘fight or flight’ response. It is also one of the best cures for belly fat 0:11:41.360,0:11:48.880 in particular and weight loss in general. Shallow breathing, also called thoracic 0:11:48.880,0:11:56.480 breathing or chest breathing uses intercostal  muscles drawing much less air into the lungs. 0:11:57.280,0:12:02.800 Clavicular breathing raises the shoulders and  the collarbones (clavicles) while simultaneously 0:12:02.800,0:12:10.160 contracting the abdomen for inhalation. Its  process is a very tiring one and cannot be 0:12:10.160,0:12:18.000 held for long durations of maximum air intake. One must opt for diaphragmatic breathing alone, 0:12:18.000,0:12:24.400 because it takes the maximum air in. It’s  also because diaphragmatic breathing alone 0:12:24.400,0:12:30.480 can awaken Kundalini pushing it  up after all the chakras go open. 0:12:30.480,0:12:34.640 During exhalation, the lungs are left  with the functional residual capacity 0:12:34.640,0:12:43.120 of air which occupies a volume of 2.5-3  liters. An extended exhalation can reduce 0:12:43.120,0:12:50.800 it further to 1 liter, not more than that. In other words, one may extend their exhalation 0:12:50.800,0:12:59.280 such that the leftover air in the lungs is  anywhere between this range of 1 to 2.5-3 liters. 0:12:59.280,0:13:06.160 How Diaphragmatic Breathing Empties The Mind How can breathing empty the mind? 0:13:06.160,0:13:15.120 Emptying the mind means getting rid of all  its beliefs, habits, fears and desires. If 0:13:15.120,0:13:23.520 we try to do this through conscious mental effort  using our will power, we fail miserably. This is 0:13:23.520,0:13:31.920 because we are trying to kill the mind by the mind  itself. Why would the mind ever commit suicide? 0:13:32.720,0:13:40.400 It is happy being in control not only of our  psychology but also our biology. It does so by 0:13:40.400,0:13:47.520 turning our perceptions and urges mechanical. It is only possible to empty the mind using 0:13:47.520,0:13:55.360 itself when it is posed with an impending  emergency that it has no solution for. It 0:13:55.360,0:14:02.480 stops working in such an impending scenario.  Consequently, it gets forced to surrender its 0:14:02.480,0:14:10.480 reign over any action that could get rid of the  said scenario. Ultimately, in such a situation, 0:14:10.480,0:14:17.120 the brain takes charge and performs the  appropriate action to come out of that scenario. 0:14:17.120,0:14:23.920 The Story of My Mind Emptying Itself And Handing  Over The Charge to My Brain in An Emergency 0:14:24.560,0:14:30.320 I remember a story from my life when my spirit of  adventure posed a similar challenge to my mind. 0:14:30.320,0:14:36.880 And my mind just resigned. But my spirit  still went ahead with my brain alone and 0:14:36.880,0:14:44.720 faced the challenge. My mind was absolutely  emptied in the process and, thus, held back. 0:14:44.720,0:14:50.640 It was in the year 1992 that I visited  a beautiful, high altitude valley in 0:14:50.640,0:14:57.040 the Himalayas named Manali. I had already  booked a cottage for a month-long stay over 0:14:57.040,0:15:06.560 there. We were three in our family; my wife, my  six-year-old daughter and I. We were enjoying 0:15:06.560,0:15:13.040 our stay, doing something new each day. After around ten days, we thought of going 0:15:13.040,0:15:19.280 on an unconventional trek in the valley - a  trek along the untrodden side of the River 0:15:19.280,0:15:22.800 Beas that flowed through the valley. There  was no road on that side of the river. Any 0:15:22.800,0:15:28.160 roads that existed would be on the  other side of the river from our trek. 0:15:28.160,0:15:33.040 Regardless, we started our trek  and kept moving along the river, 0:15:33.040,0:15:42.640 upstream. After around half an hour of our trek,  the river got us stuck. It was taking a sharp turn 0:15:42.640,0:15:49.440 there after hitting a high rock on our side of  the trek. So, there was no way to go further. 0:15:50.080,0:15:58.000 We were a little disappointed. I looked around the  hill to the side of the river. I was looking for a 0:15:58.000,0:16:05.600 bridle path, hoping to climb up a little and then  come down to move further along the river. That 0:16:05.600,0:16:12.240 way, we could have circumvented the sharp turn and  climbed down to the river ahead of the sharp turn. 0:16:12.960,0:16:19.120 As I was investigating the visible bridle  paths, I spotted a man standing at the hilltop 0:16:19.120,0:16:27.840 looking curiously toward us. I shouted,  aiming my voice in his direction, “Hey!” 0:16:27.840,0:16:34.240 “Hey!” the man shouted back from the hilltop. I explained to him in my sign language 0:16:34.240,0:16:38.320 what we were up to. Seemingly a local, 0:16:38.320,0:16:44.480 he immediately understood what we wanted. He  threw a fleeting look along the bridle paths 0:16:44.480,0:16:52.000 up the hill. Then he looked down around the  river bend, and then waved at us to climb up. 0:16:52.000,0:17:01.360 As we started climbing up, I spotted him coming  down toward us as well. That surprised me a bit. 0:17:01.360,0:17:08.960 But as we climbed up a little further, I realized  why he had made his way down. As we reached a 0:17:08.960,0:17:17.520 nearly horizontal patch lined up with a nearly  vertical rock, we found him standing up there. 0:17:17.520,0:17:23.360 What a helping spirit combined with  a curious involvement! He smiled, 0:17:23.360,0:17:31.040 sitting atop the approximately 7 feet high  rock tilted at around 105o from the patch. 0:17:31.920,0:17:39.680 “I had seen this rock from above and I knew you  would need my help to climb it,” he said, smiling. 0:17:39.680,0:17:47.840 “Thanks a lot!” I felt grateful. As I looked  down once from where we were standing, I found 0:17:47.840,0:17:55.520 us to be exactly over the river-bend which meant  that, by then, we had climbed a few hundred feet. 0:17:56.240,0:18:02.400 The man lied down on his stomach on the  horizontal patch atop the rock. From there, 0:18:02.400,0:18:10.480 he hung his arms down along the slope of the rock. First, my wife held his hands and I pushed her 0:18:10.480,0:18:17.120 from behind as he pulled her up to the top. As the patch above the top was comparatively 0:18:17.120,0:18:24.640 narrow, he made her sit a little away on a gentle  slope. Then he came back to the rock-top and lied 0:18:24.640,0:18:32.800 down on his stomach hanging his arms down, again.  This time, I lifted my daughter and pushed her up 0:18:32.800,0:18:40.320 from behind as he pulled her up easily. He made  her sit along with my wife and came back to the 0:18:40.320,0:18:48.400 rock-top again. As he lied down on his stomach  a third time hanging his arms down to pull me up 0:18:48.400,0:18:57.360 now, he realized it wouldn’t work. “Oh!” he exclaimed, disappointed. 0:18:57.360,0:19:03.280 By then I, too, had realized that we  had not accounted for this scenario. 0:19:03.280,0:19:09.200 With my wife and my daughter, I was  there below to push them up. But now, 0:19:09.200,0:19:16.240 I was alone with no one to do the same for me. The man and I looked into each other’s eyes 0:19:16.240,0:19:21.760 and then down at the river below  flowing with roaring ferocity. 0:19:21.760,0:19:28.800 “We forgot this,” I said. “Now?” he asked me. 0:19:28.800,0:19:35.440 “It’s risky,” I said with a sigh. “Disappointing,” he sighed back 0:19:35.440,0:19:42.320 dropping his head on the top of the rock. “Hey! Is it really impossible?” I looked 0:19:42.320,0:19:51.200 at the height and the slope of the rock. “Not exactly, but yes, almost!” he opined. 0:19:51.200,0:20:00.720 “Why don’t we do it! I can push myself up with  all my might,” my adventure bug bit me further. 0:20:00.720,0:20:06.480 “I don’t bother about myself. But you have a  family along. If you aren’t able to make it the 0:20:06.480,0:20:14.000 very first time, we both will be down there in  the river. We will be flown away by its gushing 0:20:14.000,0:20:22.080 waters…not to be found even as dead bodies,  ever! A drowning man catches at a straw. So, 0:20:22.080,0:20:29.120 you’ll end up pulling me down as well!”  he explained what all it could entail. 0:20:29.120,0:20:35.200 “Oh, then send them back and we will go down  the way we came up from,” I felt concerned 0:20:35.200,0:20:42.800 about a stranger’s life not to be jeopardized. “But I won’t feel good!” he exclaimed as he 0:20:42.800,0:20:49.520 looked into my eyes intently. I kept looking back into his. 0:20:49.520,0:20:55.120 “Okay, let’s do it. Just take care to sync  your push with my pull exactly at the same 0:20:55.120,0:21:02.720 moment,” he finally gave his verdict. “Think twice before you say yes,” I said. 0:21:03.760,0:21:10.560 “You too!” came his reply. “Ready?” I asked. 0:21:10.560,0:21:14.960 “Ready?” he asked. We both started 0:21:14.960,0:21:24.320 counting aloud, “ One, two, three!” As we counted three, I found myself lying 0:21:24.320,0:21:32.400 along him up on the patch at the top of the rock. Two sighs of relief from the two of us and we 0:21:32.400,0:21:41.280 smiled calmly looking at each other’s faces! I did it. In fact, my body did it. I didn’t 0:21:41.280,0:21:47.280 know how I had done it. It was exactly like  what that middle-aged mechanic in my story in 0:21:47.280,0:21:54.240 Episode 19 had done. He, too, didn’t have  any clue to how he had done what he had. 0:21:55.040,0:22:00.640 My wife and daughter were oblivious  to what we both had come up through. 0:22:00.640,0:22:07.200 My mind was just empty and it remained  so for a long while after. 0:22:07.200,0:22:11.920 But habits die hard. The entire  pattern comes back to the same 0:22:11.920,0:22:20.160 square one once the emergency gets over. Hence, though imminent emergencies can empty 0:22:20.160,0:22:28.240 our mind in a flash of a second, they aren’t a  permanent modus operandi. But yes, they can give 0:22:28.240,0:22:35.920 us an instant glimpse of what an empty mind feels  and works like. They can certainly demonstrate 0:22:35.920,0:22:43.840 the superiority of any action done on our part  without any doubt about it. That was what had 0:22:43.840,0:22:52.000 happened in the above-mentioned story as well as  in the mechanic’s story mentioned in Episode 19. 0:22:52.000,0:23:00.160 How to Empty The Mind Permanently But then, how can the mind be permanently emptied? 0:23:00.160,0:23:07.280 Remember the firsthand account of a first  timer in skydiving quoted before in Episode 20? 0:23:07.280,0:23:16.240 I repeat it here for your convenience: I was OUT… everything mentally ended… over… 0:23:16.240,0:23:25.840 started… me… perhaps more dead than alive… perhaps  more alive than I will ever be… breathing just as 0:23:25.840,0:23:35.600 I had been taught… wind… wind and breath… until  wind and breath became indiscernible, became as 0:23:35.600,0:23:45.520 one… and yes, almost weightless… it was true! …  weightless and so surreal… there was the earth, 0:23:45.520,0:23:54.960 neither coming at me, nor me at it, … no  up… no down… no me, in the ego sense of me, 0:23:54.960,0:24:03.200 just some thoughtless consciousness… and  yes, it was awesome simply to be… or not. 0:24:03.200,0:24:10.800 The sky was in my lungs and it never once  occurred to me would the parachute open. 0:24:10.800,0:24:19.520 It is a perfect example of a mind having gone  empty. And what a tremendous experience this was! 0:24:19.520,0:24:27.600 But unfortunately, this, too, stays only for a  maximum duration of 6-7 minutes. That is while 0:24:27.600,0:24:34.880 the skydiver is falling free before the parachute  opens. We could extend this time with the help of 0:24:34.880,0:24:43.760 a virtual reality simulator without even having  a real skydiving session. But how long for? 0:24:43.760,0:24:48.960 We could even consider improving the quality  of virtual free-fall simulator as compared 0:24:48.960,0:24:55.360 to a real skydiving session. That could  even entail removing the decelerating 0:24:55.360,0:25:01.360 effect of air with a better control on  experiencing acceleration due to gravity. 0:25:02.240,0:25:07.200 We could hypothesize that such a perfect  simulation for a certain minimum time 0:25:07.200,0:25:13.120 might empty the mind permanently as well. In fact, I am already working on a project 0:25:13.120,0:25:20.240 that proposes to testify this hypothesis  under strict laboratory conditions. 0:25:20.240,0:25:27.200 But we cannot wait for this hypothesis to  get proved correct. We do have a surer method 0:25:27.200,0:25:33.360 though a little slower than the proposed  hypothesis, at least for the time being. 0:25:33.360,0:25:40.000 And that is what I have already mentioned  in this episode. We can easily keep emptying 0:25:40.000,0:25:47.440 our mind continuously with every single extended  exhalation when all our chakras are open. From a 0:25:47.440,0:25:54.800 vitalistic angle, it amounts to sending periodical  surges of kundalini from an open root chakra to 0:25:54.800,0:26:02.880 an open crown chakra. From a materialistic angle,  it amounts to sending periodical surges of neural 0:26:02.880,0:26:08.960 communication from the gut to the brain. Whatever it might be, but it does fill the 0:26:08.960,0:26:16.720 crown of the head with inexplicable joy through  every single extended exhalation. Along with joy, 0:26:16.720,0:26:22.560 it also embellishes the brain with  newer energy and newer insights. 0:26:22.560,0:26:29.120 And every surge of this inexplicable joy keeps  the mind emptied for its duration, in fact a 0:26:29.120,0:26:38.160 little longer. Before it starts waning, the next  surge appears with the next extended exhalation, 0:26:38.160,0:26:41.722 reinforcing the mind’s emptiness again. In case we ever miss the sequence, the sky 0:26:41.722,0:26:41.995 is not going to fall loose on earth. We can pick  the thread of breath up from wherever it right 0:26:41.995,0:26:42.240 now is and restart the sequence once again. That is what Skeletal Leap rewards us with! 0:26:42.240,0:26:45.840 Thanks for listening to this  episode of Skeletal Leap: 0:26:45.840,0:26:52.480 A Living Adventure! In the next episode,  I will tell you about skeletal meditation 0:26:52.480,0:26:58.320 emptying the mind and then keeping  it empty for kundalini awakening. 0:26:58.320,0:27:02.240 Be a part of Skeletal Leap Community! Eye Training for Crystal Clear Eye Vision NOW! Podcast Episode 25

EYE TRAINING FOR CRYSTAL CLEAR EYE VISION NOW! Welcome back to the 25th episode of Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure! Today’s episode titled “Eye Training for Crystal Clear Eye Vision NOW!” will tell you about an unintended evidence strengthening the skeletal chakra hypothesis via achieving central fixation of the eyes. As I’ve mentioned earlier, the biological miracle that I have long been working with is the skeletal codes of instant central fixation of the eyes, the body and the mind. Mainstream ophthalmology had always maintained that vision, once gone bad, could never be cured. SKELETAL LEAP, the mind body connection for mind and body healing, is a giant leap that our skeleton [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skeleton] can take through the way it postures its joints. I had stumbled upon this miracle many years ago, coincidentally EYE TRAINING FOR CRYSTAL CLEAR EYE VISION NOW! - SHOW NOTES In this enlightening episode of Skeletal Leap, I strengthen the fascinating connection between central fixation of the eyes and the skeletal chakra hypothesis.  Titled “Eye Training for Crystal Clear Eye Vision NOW!”, the episode explores how achieving central fixation not only enhances vision but also transforms our physiological systems and personal well-being. I share a personal story involving my cataract surgery and a groundbreaking realization about visual accommodation, challenging conventional ophthalmological beliefs.  I discuss the significance of the oblique and recti muscles in the eye's ability to focus and how their habitual constriction leads to common vision problems like myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism as well as presbyopia after the age of 40. Discover the historical context of Dr. W.H. Bates' work and how it paved the way for understanding the relationship between the mind, body, and vision.  I introduce the concept of central fixation through chakra meditation, revealing how this practice can lead to profound changes in both vision and overall health. Join me on this journey of self-discovery, as I uncover the tangible effects of opening chakras on our anatomy and physiology, and emphasize the importance of achieving a harmonious mind-body connection. Some key moments: (00:00:00) - Central fixation through the opening of chakras improves our vision and changes our physiological systems (00:10:25) - Dr. W.H. Bates challenged mainstream ophthalmology 100 years ago (00:16:01) - Modern ophthalmology is a gigantic multi billion dollar industry (00:26:27) - Third eye and crown chakra meditation not only clarifies eyesight You will learn about: The relationship between central fixation and vision improvement. How habitual muscle constriction affects eyesight. The historical significance of Dr. W.H. Bates’ findings. Practical steps to achieve central fixation through chakra meditation. My name is Laadi Ojas. Welcome 0:00:24.800,0:00:34.160 to “Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure”. Skeletal  Leap transforms one’s life into a personal heaven. 0:00:34.160,0:00:38.480 Today’s episode will tell you about  an unintended evidence strengthening 0:00:38.480,0:00:44.800 the skeletal chakra hypothesis via  achieving central fixation of the eyes. 0:00:44.800,0:00:49.920 As I’ve mentioned earlier, the biological  miracle that I have long been working with 0:00:49.920,0:00:56.480 is the skeletal codes of instant central  fixation of the eyes, the body and the mind. 0:00:57.120,0:01:04.240 Let me tell you another story, a recent  one that reinforces my above statement. 0:01:04.240,0:01:10.240 The Story of Activating A So-called  Impossible Visual Accommodation 0:01:10.240,0:01:13.920 “I seem to have cracked its code.” 0:01:13.920,0:01:19.040 This was what I said to my ophthalmological  surgeon who was preparing to start a surgery 0:01:19.040,0:01:24.800 for my cataract removal. I got  my cataract removed in 2022. 0:01:25.440,0:01:31.600 I said to my surgeon again as he had  not yet replied, “I think I have cracked 0:01:31.600,0:01:38.240 the code of central fixation of the eyes.” It was a few seconds before lying down on the 0:01:38.240,0:01:45.200 operation table that I spoke these words. This time, he looked at me and replied, 0:01:45.200,0:01:51.760 “Right now, I am not listening to you.” He added, “I am in my pre-surgery trance. 0:01:51.760,0:01:57.040 We will discuss it once the  surgery is successfully completed.” 0:01:57.040,0:02:04.800 It was a Tuesday. A few days prior, I had met  him in his clinic. I had asked him to replace 0:02:04.800,0:02:11.520 my clouded natural crystalline lens with an  intraocular lens of the same diopter power. 0:02:12.240,0:02:18.160 The normal procedure of cataract surgery simply  removes the clouded natural lenses in the eyes 0:02:18.160,0:02:25.280 and replaces them with artificial clear lenses.  These natural lenses which get clouded owing to 0:02:25.280,0:02:32.960 protein coagulation with age are called natural  crystalline lenses. The artificial clear lenses 0:02:32.960,0:02:40.880 that replace them are called intraocular lenses.  It is a very simple, 10-minute surgical procedure 0:02:40.880,0:02:48.000 though it does demand impeccable precision from  the surgeon. And, as per modern ophthalmology, 0:02:48.000,0:02:54.240 since these intraocular lenses cannot fatten like  natural crystalline lenses, they cannot help in 0:02:54.240,0:03:01.200 reading at close proximity when they are optimized  for distant vision. Hence they require reading 0:03:01.200,0:03:08.800 glasses employing presbyopic convex lenses. “Why?” he asked while replying to my request to 0:03:08.800,0:03:16.000 replace my clouded natural crystalline lens with  an intraocular lens of the same diopter power, 0:03:16.000,0:03:21.120 “Why wouldn’t we optimize it for  your distant vision, if so needed?” 0:03:21.120,0:03:26.160 “It’s because I am doing some experiments with  the errors of refraction in my eyes. I don’t 0:03:26.160,0:03:32.160 want those to get disturbed at all. I believe  I have already cured my lifelong myopia with 0:03:32.160,0:03:38.240 central fixation. But even if your optometric  machines find there are some traces left, 0:03:38.240,0:03:44.320 I would prefer to be left with them. I just  don’t want my research to get disturbed by you 0:03:44.320,0:03:52.240 optimizing my eyes for distant vision,” I said. “But I find it unethical. We normally optimize 0:03:52.240,0:03:56.880 it for distant vision with intraocular  lenses. And then we provide you with 0:03:56.880,0:04:04.240 outside lenses for near vision,” he retorted “How does it become unethical? Especially 0:04:04.240,0:04:11.360 if I am ready to use outside lenses for  distant vision as well, if need be?” I said. 0:04:11.360,0:04:18.800 He looked at me with a puzzled expression as  no one else had ever asked this to him before. 0:04:18.800,0:04:24.240 I added, “Moreover, you may optimize my distant  vision by changing the diopter power of the 0:04:24.240,0:04:30.800 intraocular lenses. But, then, I will no more  be able to read near as clearly as I do right 0:04:30.800,0:04:38.560 now. I read at close proximity perfectly  well without using any presbyopic lenses.” 0:04:38.560,0:04:44.000 He immediately interrupted me, “Don’t be under the  impression that you will be able to do that with 0:04:44.000,0:04:50.560 intraocular lenses. Right now, you are somehow  still doing it as you have natural crystalline 0:04:50.560,0:04:57.840 lenses in your eyes. But intraocular lenses are  just inanimate matter and not animate like your 0:04:57.840,0:05:04.960 natural crystalline lenses. They will simply not  let you see near clear as you cannot manipulate 0:05:04.960,0:05:12.640 them at all. You will need a pair of near  vision glasses after the surgery in any case.” 0:05:12.640,0:05:18.240 “I will still like to use a pair of outside  glasses for correcting my distant vision. That is, 0:05:18.240,0:05:24.640 in case I still have traces of myopia left  in my eyes. But I would never like my distant 0:05:24.640,0:05:30.160 vision to be optimized within my eyes. It will  disturb the research that I am doing through 0:05:30.160,0:05:37.040 experiments with central fixation to eradicate  all errors of refraction. And it’s not unethical 0:05:37.040,0:05:44.400 if I prefer outside lenses to inside ones.  Am I not right?” I asked him challenging his 0:05:44.400,0:05:50.560 notion of ophthalmological ethics. My logic convinced him that what I 0:05:50.560,0:05:55.840 was asking for was not unethical. I  just wanted my natural crystalline 0:05:55.840,0:06:02.720 lenses replaced with intraocular lenses of  exactly the same diopter power as before. 0:06:03.280,0:06:08.720 He agreed. And I took a sigh of relief  as it was a question of my entire 0:06:08.720,0:06:15.360 research getting wasted otherwise. All my preliminary tests including 0:06:15.360,0:06:21.360 ophthalmological and physiological status got  checked. A day before the surgery, the surgeon 0:06:21.360,0:06:27.600 informed me that everything was alright. He  said my natural crystalline lenses would be 0:06:27.600,0:06:35.520 replaced with intraocular lenses of diopter  power +18.5. It was exactly the same diopter 0:06:35.520,0:06:45.200 power that my natural crystalline lenses had. On Tuesday, 15 February 2022, my right eye got 0:06:45.200,0:06:51.200 operated on. As soon as the surgery got  completed, the surgeon asked me to open 0:06:51.200,0:06:58.800 my eyes. As I complied, I immediately saw  everything much brighter as well as crystal 0:06:58.800,0:07:05.200 clear in the field of my vision. It had gotten  brighter owing to the surgery done on my eye. 0:07:05.200,0:07:11.040 And as far as clarity of vision was concerned,  replacing my natural crystalline lens with 0:07:11.040,0:07:17.600 the intraocular lens of the same diopter  power had left no negative effect on it. 0:07:18.320,0:07:23.280 It was a moment of extreme elation  for me. Not optimizing my vision 0:07:23.280,0:07:33.680 for distance had shown its favorable result. The next day, on Wednesday, 16 February 2022, 0:07:33.680,0:07:41.280 my left eye got operated with similar results. As soon as both my eyes got intraocular lenses 0:07:41.280,0:07:46.960 inserted in them, I went impatient. I  could not stop my temptation of trying 0:07:46.960,0:07:54.000 to read near with them. And lo! To the utter  astonishment of my surgeon as well as of mine, 0:07:54.000,0:08:04.400 I was able to read everything close clearly too. The next day, on Thursday, 17 February 2022, 0:08:04.400,0:08:10.240 my vision was officially tested  for distance and for near reading. 0:08:10.240,0:08:14.880 Each eye was individually tested  separately. Both of them recorded 0:08:15.440,0:08:23.440 20/20 vision for distance and N6 for near reading. I asked my surgeon how he would explain this in 0:08:23.440,0:08:30.160 light of the accommodation process theorized by  German ophthalmology. According to this theory, 0:08:30.160,0:08:37.120 it should have been impossible for me  to read near, especially with N6 acuity. 0:08:37.120,0:08:42.400 He simply raised his hands in utter  astonishment, saying, “I just don’t know 0:08:42.400,0:08:49.760 how you are reading near so clear.” It was a miracle, so to say. 0:08:49.760,0:08:55.360 I asked him if I was his first patient not  requiring near vision glasses from him after 0:08:55.360,0:09:04.800 cataract removal surgery. He said I was, indeed,  the only one to do so through his entire career. 0:09:04.800,0:09:09.520 The Real Scientific Process  of Visual Accommodation 0:09:09.520,0:09:18.560 The question was how on earth I was able to see  near so clear with inanimate lenses in my eyes. 0:09:18.560,0:09:23.520 There was only one way in which it  could be explained scientifically. 0:09:24.160,0:09:31.440 It was that I was able to elongate my eyeball in  order to see clear while reading near. And then, 0:09:31.440,0:09:37.600 I was able to turn it back to near  spherical while seeing at a distance. 0:09:37.600,0:09:42.800 According to this explanation, the lens  has no role to play in the process of 0:09:42.800,0:09:49.680 accommodation. It is the eyeball that  effects and controls accommodation. 0:09:49.680,0:09:52.880 It was about a hundred years ago that Dr. 0:09:52.880,0:09:59.040 W. H. Bates had propounded the  same. Here is a quote from him: 0:09:59.040,0:10:05.360 During more than thirty years of clinical  experience, I have not observed a single fact that 0:10:05.360,0:10:11.040 was not in harmony with the belief that the lens  and the ciliary muscle have nothing to do with 0:10:11.040,0:10:17.680 accommodation and that the changes in the shape  of the eyeball upon which errors of refraction 0:10:17.680,0:10:24.560 depend are not permanent. My clinical observations  have of themselves been sufficient to demonstrate 0:10:24.560,0:10:31.680 this fact. They have also been sufficient to show  how errors of refraction can be produced at will, 0:10:31.680,0:10:39.120 and how they may be cured, temporarily in a few  minutes, and permanently by continued treatment. 0:10:39.120,0:10:46.320 * Courtesy: W. The four recti muscles pass along the depth of the 0:11:11.360,0:11:19.840 eyeball at the top, bottom, left and right sides.  They are attached to the sclerotic coat at one end 0:11:19.840,0:11:26.160 and the bone surrounding the optic nerve at the  other. These four muscles at the top, bottom, left 0:11:26.160,0:11:34.800 and right sides of the eyeball are ‘superior’,  ‘inferior’, ‘internal’ and “external” recti. 0:11:34.800,0:11:40.400 When we contract the oblique muscles,  the eyes can easily read near. 0:11:40.400,0:11:44.480 But when this constriction becomes  unconsciously habitual, the eyes 0:11:44.480,0:11:51.200 cannot see clear at a distance. This condition  is called myopia and is generally combined with 0:11:51.200,0:11:58.240 astigmatism which means different levels of  constriction in various circular degrees. 0:11:58.240,0:12:02.240 Also, when recti muscles are  kept constricted habitually, 0:12:02.240,0:12:09.840 the eyes are not able to read at close proximity  clearly. Letters go blurred as in hyperopia and 0:12:09.840,0:12:17.360 presbyopia, and distorted as in astigmatism. When the crown chakra and the third eye chakra 0:12:17.360,0:12:24.240 are blocked, these are the muscles that get  affected first. Thereafter, the rest of them, 0:12:24.240,0:12:32.320 including those in the jaws, on the eyebrows,  and around temporomandibular joints get affected. 0:12:32.320,0:12:37.920 Surprisingly, there is a direct physiological  connection between the muscles on the eyeballs 0:12:37.920,0:12:45.600 and the rest of muscles in the skull! The major  ones among them are the muscles named frontalis, 0:12:45.600,0:12:52.560 temporalis and occipitalis. By relaxing these  three muscles via maneuvering the mandible, 0:12:52.560,0:13:00.480 we can relax the muscles on the eyeballs as well. Once that is done, we can achieve full voluntary 0:13:00.480,0:13:07.200 control on the entire process of accommodation.  This is how we can achieve central fixation of the 0:13:07.200,0:13:16.560 eyes and get rid of all the errors of refraction. The Role That Dr. Bates Played A Hundred Years Ago 0:13:16.560,0:13:24.480 Around a hundred years ago in the year 1920, Dr.  W. H. Bates, an ophthalmologist published a book. 0:13:24.480,0:13:31.440 It was titled “The Cure of Imperfect Sight  by Treatment without Glasses”. The book was 0:13:31.440,0:13:38.240 an account of his case studies which involved  curing the vision of people and enabling them 0:13:38.240,0:13:44.480 to get rid of their glasses. It was also a  logical analysis of how vision goes bad in 0:13:44.480,0:13:51.520 the first place and how to cure it. With his  analysis, he happened to challenge mainstream 0:13:51.520,0:13:58.800 ophthalmology on its theoretical premises. Mainstream ophthalmology had always maintained 0:13:58.800,0:14:05.440 that vision, once gone bad, could never be  cured. It still maintains the same premise 0:14:05.440,0:14:12.640 to date. Hence it considers wearing glasses as  the primary solution. It has also come up with 0:14:12.640,0:14:21.280 its surgical derivative named LASIK. In LASIK,  they sculpt the cornea in the shape of a lens as 0:14:21.280,0:14:27.760 per the vision prescription. It simply turns the  cornea into an additional lens in front of the 0:14:27.760,0:14:35.920 eye’s main lens without wearing glasses. Not a big  deal! It is rather ineffective in certain cases, 0:14:35.920,0:14:41.600 especially in the long run. I know many  such people whose errors of refraction 0:14:41.600,0:14:49.120 returned a few years after getting LASIK done. But mainstream ophthalmology chose not to respond 0:14:49.120,0:14:57.760 to Dr. Bates’ challenge. It rather chose to ignore  him in an attempt to isolate and ridicule him. 0:14:57.760,0:15:04.640 The question that arises is why, after all,  mainstream ophthalmology chose to ignore its 0:15:04.640,0:15:11.920 own comrade. Was it just because it thought he  was doing something nonsensical? Far from it, 0:15:11.920,0:15:19.680 his questions were not illogical. Quite to the  contrary, he was getting positive results! Why, 0:15:19.680,0:15:24.880 then, did his own parent organization  ignore him like a step child? 0:15:24.880,0:15:32.160 The answer, as often is the case, was a  conflict of interests between the two. 0:15:32.160,0:15:37.920 And mainstream ophthalmology continues that  same antagonistic approach toward his research 0:15:37.920,0:15:45.600 and findings at the time of delivering  this podcast…even almost a century later! 0:15:45.600,0:15:50.400 What would mainstream ophthalmology  gain from this antagonism? 0:15:50.400,0:15:57.600 The answer seems to lie in a covert conspiracy as  such. It is possibly scared of losing a luxurious 0:15:57.600,0:16:04.080 business that it is the sole beneficiary  of. Modern ophthalmology is a gigantic, 0:16:04.080,0:16:10.560 multi-billion-dollar industry. Here are two quotes to underline it: 0:16:10.560,0:16:19.600 Global Eyewear Market to reach USD 196.47  billion by 2025. Global Eyewear Market 0:16:19.600,0:16:27.520 valued approximately USD 110 billion  in 2017 is anticipated to grow with a 0:16:27.520,0:16:36.560 healthy growth rate of more than 7.52%  over the forecast period 2018-2025. 0:16:38.560,0:16:44.560 Courtesy: Market Research Reports, 1 January 2019 0:16:44.560,0:16:53.600 Global personalized LASIK surgery market is  expected to reach USD 3.69 billion by 2022. 0:16:54.640,0:16:59.520 Courtesy: Grand View Research April 2016 0:16:59.520,0:17:06.560 Perhaps, none of this industry’s gatekeepers want  to kill the proverbial golden-egg-laying duck? 0:17:06.560,0:17:11.920 Dr. W. H. Bates ignored his isolation  by mainstream ophthalmology. He went 0:17:11.920,0:17:17.600 on treating his patients. And, by the  time he died in 1931, he had already 0:17:17.600,0:17:25.040 cured thousands of them. They had gotten rid of  their glasses as they didn’t need them anymore. 0:17:25.040,0:17:31.600 After his death, many volunteers took up  his work and continued treating patients. 0:17:31.600,0:17:38.720 It has now become an institution in itself that  promotes alternative ophthalmology, defying the 0:17:38.720,0:17:45.920 mainstream authority. These volunteers have kept  Bates’ legacy alive through almost a century after 0:17:45.920,0:17:55.280 his death. The Bates Method, as it is famous  now, has sculpted a strong niche for itself. 0:17:55.280,0:18:02.080 But there is a problem here. The Bates Method,  in general, is very slow in improving vision. 0:18:02.080,0:18:06.960 Very few people afflicted with errors of  refraction in their faulty eyes have that 0:18:06.960,0:18:14.400 kind of patience. They find wearing glasses  a ready-made solution and surrender to it. 0:18:14.400,0:18:20.160 They don’t know that, by wearing glasses, they  are forcing their eyes to keep seeing through them 0:18:20.160,0:18:26.640 for life. An eye must keep seeing inherently  wrong in order to see clear from behind the 0:18:26.640,0:18:34.560 lens fitted on it. Therefore, they kill any  probability of vision improvement for good. 0:18:34.560,0:18:41.440 How I Was Able to Change Bates Method of Central  Fixation from A Mental Procedure to A Physical One 0:18:41.440,0:18:48.560 As far back as my early childhood, I was diagnosed  with myopia. My left eye required a lens of minus 0:18:48.560,0:18:56.000 5 diopter to see clear. Luckily, my right  eye was 20/20. So my optometrist gave me a 0:18:56.000,0:19:01.760 pair of glasses which I never liked wearing.  I could see things with my right eye without 0:19:01.760,0:19:08.800 any problem. Hence I put my glasses in the  drawer of my table and never took them out. 0:19:08.800,0:19:16.160 A few years passed. I finished my engineering  studies and got appointed to a government job. 0:19:16.160,0:19:19.120 I was instructed to get my  physical examination done 0:19:19.120,0:19:24.240 in a specified government hospital  before I would begin on the job. So, 0:19:24.240,0:19:31.520 I went for it, aware of the fact that one  of my eyes needed a minus 5 diopter lens. 0:19:31.520,0:19:37.360 But I was in for both a pleasant and  an unpleasant shock at the same time! 0:19:37.360,0:19:44.800 The doctor told me that both my eyes had  myopia requiring minus 2.25 diopter lenses. 0:19:45.600,0:19:54.000 The world went upside down as well as downside up  for me. My normal 20/20 vision in my right eye had 0:19:54.000,0:20:01.600 deteriorated to require minus 2.25 diopter  lens to see clear. But my faulty eye had 0:20:01.600,0:20:11.280 spontaneously improved itself from requiring minus  5 diopter lens to just minus 2.25 diopter now. 0:20:11.280,0:20:17.040 How did my eyes manage to do so on their own  without my conscious awareness of it? It was 0:20:17.040,0:20:21.760 against the very basic premise upon  which all of mainstream ophthalmology 0:20:21.760,0:20:27.120 had structured its existence. According to Jessica Lewis, 0:20:27.120,0:20:34.560 optometrist from Illinois College of Optometry: Not wearing glasses, also, cannot change the 0:20:34.560,0:20:40.480 shape of your eye, so if you stop wearing  glasses, you will not make it so that you 0:20:40.480,0:20:47.200 don‘t need glasses and you will not make  it so that your vision returns to normal. 0:20:47.200,0:20:53.200 How can, then, mainstream ophthalmology explain  the reversal of my eyesight from minus 5 diopter 0:20:53.200,0:20:59.280 to minus 2.25 diopter? It can’t. 0:20:59.280,0:21:05.440 Anyway, I lived up to the age of 53 with both  of my eyes requiring correction by minus 2.25 0:21:06.160,0:21:13.440 diopter lenses. That was before I accidentally  stumbled upon a spontaneous and instantaneous 0:21:13.440,0:21:20.960 clarity of vision one day. Later, I researched  the phenomenon to understand it in depth and 0:21:20.960,0:21:27.840 how to achieve it at will and sustainably. Earlier, I had mentioned that the Bates Method 0:21:27.840,0:21:32.960 was slow to provide even the first  flashes of clear vision. At times, 0:21:32.960,0:21:39.840 it was instantaneous but, in general, it  took a long time to do so. I was looking 0:21:39.840,0:21:46.160 for something in the procedure that would make  it instantaneous as well as measurable. Here, 0:21:46.160,0:21:53.680 by instantaneous, I mean a single session of  a few hours. Even if it is not full clarity, 0:21:53.680,0:22:01.360 the amount of clarity gained should be measurable.  Measurability would enable such a procedure to get 0:22:01.360,0:22:08.720 verified under the test conditions that mainstream  ophthalmology would, no doubt, insist on. 0:22:08.720,0:22:13.600 And this is what the Bates Method,  despite being a brilliant procedure, 0:22:13.600,0:22:20.160 is lacking. It can’t generate measurable  improvements in a single session. Hence, 0:22:20.160,0:22:26.880 it could never decisively pass the challenge of  strict scrutiny done under laboratory conditions. 0:22:28.320,0:22:34.560 It was because Bates had positioned his method  around relaxation of the mind in order to relax 0:22:34.560,0:22:41.920 the eyes. In relaxing the mind and the eyes, his  basic purpose was to attain the central fixation 0:22:41.920,0:22:49.040 of the mind. The central fixation of the mind  led to the central fixation of the eyes. It meant 0:22:49.040,0:22:56.240 focusing at a single point in the field of vision  so that it made its image exactly at the fovea. 0:22:57.360,0:23:02.240 Bates contended that central fixation  of the eyes was not achievable without 0:23:02.240,0:23:09.280 achieving central fixation of the mind. As I have mentioned earlier, the mind is a very 0:23:09.280,0:23:17.200 vague entity. It has processes inside it that are  intangible, meaning you can’t measure them. And, 0:23:17.200,0:23:24.560 if you can’t measure a thing, you can’t be sure  of its objective existence, nor of its strength. 0:23:24.560,0:23:31.600 You cannot say with 100% surety that you are going  the right way. You can’t even be sure of how much 0:23:31.600,0:23:39.840 of it you need to achieve the desired results. At times they may click but rarely so. So, you 0:23:39.840,0:23:47.120 need to keep making trials and errors until you  can hit the target. It takes time, and at times, 0:23:47.120,0:23:56.800 a lot of it. Not to mention, you can’t even create  them instantly and at will with 100% surety. 0:23:56.800,0:24:03.680 This is what makes the Bates Method unreliable. But, if we approach this from the perspective 0:24:03.680,0:24:11.120 of physical effects, it all becomes solid and  tangible. And they are not always the effects. At 0:24:11.120,0:24:18.560 times, they may be the cause to begin with. We can  pinpoint them. We can even measure them. Hence, 0:24:18.560,0:24:27.120 we are more in control of them. That is why we  can activate them instantly and to their fullest. 0:24:27.120,0:24:32.080 This was what I did with the Bates Method  when it came to achieving central fixation 0:24:32.080,0:24:39.040 of the eyes. I just changed its direction.  Bates had directed it from central fixation 0:24:39.040,0:24:44.560 of the mind to the central fixation of the  eyes. I changed it from central fixation of 0:24:44.560,0:24:51.600 the eyes to the central fixation of the mind. I did a lot of research on how chakras affected 0:24:51.600,0:24:58.880 the anatomy and the physiology of our body. As you  might know already, the description and approach 0:24:58.880,0:25:06.000 to chakras in ancient scriptures is deeply  embedded in the spiritual arena. Their shallow, 0:25:06.000,0:25:13.680 modern-day interpretations follow suit without  even understanding what spirituality really means. 0:25:13.680,0:25:19.600 With their mysterious-sounding descriptions,  these misplaced interpretations have tended 0:25:19.600,0:25:26.400 to turn chakras into an esoteric discipline. I aimed at understanding the physical effect of 0:25:26.400,0:25:34.560 chakras at different parts of our body, i.e.,  on its nerves and musculature. Spirituality, 0:25:34.560,0:25:42.880 like the mind, is not a concrete entity; it is  rather even vaguer than the mind. It is esoteric. 0:25:44.080,0:25:50.240 Central Fixation Is Instantly Achievable  through Skeletal Chakra Meditation 0:25:50.240,0:25:57.040 Consequently, what I did with chakras was  exactly what I had done with the mind. I 0:25:57.040,0:26:02.560 addressed the issues associated with chakras  from the perspective of their effects on the 0:26:02.560,0:26:08.560 body. For all we know, these so-called  effects might actually be the culprits 0:26:08.560,0:26:16.240 causing those issues in the first place! Since body and spirit, like body and mind, 0:26:16.240,0:26:22.080 are two sides of the same coin, the  former affects the latter as well. It 0:26:22.080,0:26:29.280 is exactly the way in which the latter had  affected the former before, if at all so. 0:26:29.280,0:26:35.760 This approach enabled me to discover that central  fixation of the eyes was exactly what third eye 0:26:35.760,0:26:41.360 and crown chakra meditation achieved. Opening the third eye and the crown 0:26:41.360,0:26:48.640 chakras meant achieving central fixation of the  eyes along with central fixation of the mind. 0:26:48.640,0:26:56.560 I could now pinpoint it and activate it instantly  to its fullest by measuring it properly. And 0:26:56.560,0:27:03.840 the best thing was I could do it at will! Of course, it does require some time to open 0:27:03.840,0:27:09.280 the third eye and the crown chakras through  third eye and crown chakra meditation. It is 0:27:09.280,0:27:16.320 because the muscles in its vicinity need time to  loosen up their age-old rigidity. Once they have 0:27:16.320,0:27:23.760 done that, the eyes start seeing perfectly  without any artificial aid worn upon them. 0:27:23.760,0:27:30.320 Achieving central fixation through opening all  7 chakras is not only about vision correction. 0:27:30.320,0:27:36.480 Vision correction is merely an indication that we  are on the right track in our journey toward Homo 0:27:36.480,0:27:44.400 sapiens evolution as a whole. It leads us to a  perfect state of biological, mental and spiritual 0:27:44.400,0:27:52.240 health, replete with the flow of cosmic (or  biological) energy through us. It enables us to be 0:27:52.240,0:27:59.920 in peace with ourselves individually, paving the  way toward creating a peaceful world around us. 0:27:59.920,0:28:07.440 It fills us with intelligent insights to mend  our deteriorating sociocultural institutions and, 0:28:07.440,0:28:16.160 then, to create a colorful world around us.  In short, it paves the way to heaven on earth! 0:28:16.160,0:28:21.920 My central fixation boosted my immunity to  an extent that enabled me to live together 0:28:21.920,0:28:28.800 with my Covid-19-infected family without  ever contracting the virus myself. Though 0:28:28.800,0:28:36.240 unvaccinated, my innate immunity saved me from  catching it even from such close vicinity. 0:28:36.240,0:28:41.920 Third eye and crown chakra meditation,  or central fixation, not only clarifies 0:28:41.920,0:28:49.520 eyesight but also benefits the body, the mind  and the spirit in the following additional ways: 0:28:49.520,0:28:58.520 Immunity Boost | Headache Eradication | Depression  Alleviation | Anxiety Eradication | Enhanced Focus 0:28:58.520,0:29:07.360 | Deeper & Slower Breathing | Improved Circulation  | Stronger Heart | Faster Assimilation | Improved 0:29:07.360,0:29:15.120 Digestion | Smoother Excretion | Hormonal  Balance | Autoimmune Diseases Eradication 0:29:15.840,0:29:22.960 I would even venture to say that third eye and  crown chakra meditation or central fixation is 0:29:22.960,0:29:29.680 not, as Aldous Huxley would say, ‘The Art  of Seeing’ alone. It is actually ‘The Art 0:29:29.680,0:29:37.920 of Healing’ the body, the mind and the spirit. Whenever the mind is not in a meditative state, 0:29:37.920,0:29:43.040 it does something detrimental  to the body. As a result, 0:29:43.040,0:29:50.400 the body constricts some specific muscles that  are meant to be relaxed and loosens some others 0:29:50.400,0:29:57.280 that are meant to be kept contracted. With  the continuation of such a mental state, 0:29:57.280,0:30:04.480 the body keeps those muscles constricted or  loosened for long. With the passage of time, 0:30:04.480,0:30:11.040 these muscles habituate themselves in those  same erroneously constricted or loosened states. 0:30:12.400,0:30:20.240 And, with the further passage of time, the said  constriction or loosening turns unconscious. The 0:30:20.240,0:30:27.680 affected muscles lose their range of flexibility.  They start giving a message to the mind that they 0:30:27.680,0:30:35.120 are not making any effort. And the fact is that  they really start perceiving their constricted or 0:30:35.120,0:30:42.080 loosened disposition as relaxation. They don’t  even realize that this is a serious reduction 0:30:42.080,0:30:50.320 in their own innate range of flexibility. They  start assuming as if the range was always limited. 0:30:50.320,0:30:56.400 We can decide to bring the affected muscles  back to their relaxed state, but they resist 0:30:56.400,0:31:03.520 doing so. So, we need to pull them out of this  unconscious habitual constriction or loosening 0:31:03.520,0:31:11.120 by stretching or contracting them out and up. The  constricted or loosened muscles perceive it as an 0:31:11.120,0:31:19.920 effort and hence feel pseudo-tired in the process. However, if we show perseverance and continue to 0:31:19.920,0:31:25.440 stretch or contract the affected muscles  out of their constriction or loosening, 0:31:25.440,0:31:32.720 they listen. And they listen because their  unconscious memory - what is often referred to 0:31:32.720,0:31:40.240 as “muscle memory” - gives them a feeling of doing  something right. With the passage of time, they 0:31:40.240,0:31:48.160 start regaining their lost flexibility and range. Muscles do take their time to get rid of their 0:31:48.160,0:31:53.680 constricted rigidity or loosened  lethargy. Once they have done it, 0:31:53.680,0:32:01.120 the entire body-mind system comes back to its  natural, spontaneous state. With that, the 0:32:01.120,0:32:08.800 purpose of said meditation is achieved. Thereon,  we only need to ensure that we don’t repeat the 0:32:08.800,0:32:15.440 old habits in the body or the mind again. So, which muscles go rigid and which ones go 0:32:15.440,0:32:21.200 lethargic when vision gets compromised,  be it for distance or near reading? 0:32:22.000,0:32:27.680 These are the muscles in the vicinity of the  third eye and the crown chakras. In fact, 0:32:27.680,0:32:34.400 the crown chakra is a widening of  a narrow third eye chakra by 270o. 0:32:34.400,0:32:39.280 Central fixation, through the opening of  chakras, not only improves our vision and 0:32:39.280,0:32:44.560 changes our physiological systems,  it also changes us as a person. 0:32:45.200,0:32:51.360 At that point, we will already have taken  an important step toward Skeletal Leap into 0:32:51.360,0:32:57.840 the next major Homo sapiens evolution.  What is left is to activate the rising 0:32:57.840,0:33:05.760 of energy from the gut to the brain. And  this is where we enter the realm of breath. 0:33:05.760,0:33:12.000 Thanks for listening to this episode  of Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure! 0:33:12.000,0:33:17.200 In the next episode, I will tell  you about emptying the mind via 0:33:17.200,0:33:23.600 breathing energy and breathing  insight with every single breath. 0:33:23.600,0:33:27.520 Be a part of Skeletal Leap Community! Fix Your Body Posture for an Amazing Chakra Cleanse! – Podcast Episode 24

FIX YOUR BODY POSTURE FOR AN AMAZING CHAKRA CLEANSE! Welcome back to the 24th episode of Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure! Today’s episode titled “Fix Your Body Posture for an Amazing Chakra Cleanse!” will tell you about how skeletal re-posturing opens chakras through completing our bipedal skeletal evolution. As it happened, their skeleton started evolving to suit itself to bipedalism as much as it could. It changed in its arrangement of bones with respect to one another as well as in their shapes and sizes. Though running became less energy-efficient, walking was much more important. Hence the trade-off worked. It increased their locomotion tremendously. SKELETAL LEAP, the mind body connection for mind and body healing, is a giant leap that our skeleton [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skeleton] can take through the way it postures its joints. I had stumbled upon this miracle many years ago, coincidentally FIX YOUR BODY POSTURE FOR AN AMAZING CHAKRA CLEANSE! - SHOW NOTES In this 24th episode of Skeletal Leap, titled “Fix Your Body Posture for An Amazing Chakra Cleanse!”, I take you along to a bio-historical journey of Homo sapiens and how our evolution has shaped not only our physical structure but also our energetic pathways. Join me as I explore the intricacies of bipedalism and its profound impact on our skeletal system. From the evolution of our legs to the restructuring of our hips and pelvis, this episode uncovers how these adaptations have allowed us to walk upright and the trade-offs that came with these changes. Discover how improper postures can lead to various biological and psychological ailments, and learn about the significant connection between these ailments and the corresponding chakras affected.  I share my insights on how to correct these postures to promote healing and balance. This episode emphasizes the importance of understanding our anatomy and how it relates to our energy systems, providing you with practical actions to dissolve blockages and enhance your overall well-being. This  changed the lengths of their legs. 0:00:21.920,0:00:28.800 My name is Laadi Ojas. Welcome to  “Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure”. 0:00:28.800,0:00:34.160 Skeletal Leap transforms one’s  life into a personal heaven. 0:00:34.160,0:00:38.320 Today’s episode will tell you  about how skeletal re-posturing 0:00:38.320,0:00:44.480 opens chakras through completing  our bipedal skeletal evolution. 0:00:44.480,0:00:51.440 Human bipedalism started around 4-7 million  years ago when our ancestors named hominins 0:00:51.440,0:00:58.480 stood on their twos. As it happened, their  skeleton started evolving to suit itself to 0:00:58.480,0:01:05.040 bipedalism as much as it could. It changed  in its arrangement of bones with respect to 0:01:05.040,0:01:12.240 one another as well as in their shapes  and sizes. The changes involved were… 0:01:12.240,0:01:19.040 New arrangement and size of foot bones  | Hip size and shape | Knee size | Leg 0:01:19.040,0:01:26.160 length | Shape and orientation of  vertebral column | Skull orientation 0:01:26.160,0:01:33.200 Bipedalism made walking more energy-efficient  and human movement much easier. Though running 0:01:33.200,0:01:39.920 became less energy-efficient, walking was much  more important. Hence the trade-off worked. 0:01:39.920,0:01:48.400 It increased their locomotion tremendously. Bipedalism Driven Skeletal Evolution Details 0:01:48.400,0:01:54.240 There were other trade-offs as well, all through  the skeletal system, that Homo sapiens have been 0:01:54.240,0:02:01.600 dealing with the adverse effects of, ever since.  In the rest of this episode, I will endeavor to 0:02:01.600,0:02:08.160 describe various parts of our skeleton while  pointing out those particular trade-offs that 0:02:08.160,0:02:15.600 apply to each of those parts. I will, then, go  on to describe the ideal position/ posture of 0:02:15.600,0:02:21.520 those parts while bringing our attention to how  we have gotten used to their ‘unhealthy’ versions. 0:02:22.240,0:02:26.320 This will be followed by descriptions  of the corresponding biological/ 0:02:26.320,0:02:33.920 psychological ailments arising from those  ‘unhealthy’ positions/ postures. Finally, 0:02:33.920,0:02:40.640 I will arrive at my most significant discovery  and thesis which is to ascribe the appropriate 0:02:40.640,0:02:46.400 chakras to these ‘unhealthy’ positions/  postures and their resultant ailments. 0:02:47.120,0:02:53.280 Needless to say, this will be accompanied with  the necessary actions required to dissolve those 0:02:53.280,0:02:57.120 chakras. Foot: 0:02:57.120,0:03:03.680 With the help of newly evolved larger heels,  the foot increased in size. This enabled it 0:03:03.680,0:03:08.880 to work like a platform on which the body  weight could easily rest. It also turned 0:03:08.880,0:03:15.360 the toes smaller than before as they were no  more used to grasp things like tree trunks. 0:03:16.160,0:03:22.400 The foot, as a platform, didn’t evolve as  a flat surface but did so as an arched one. 0:03:22.400,0:03:27.200 This arching distributed the body weight along  the feet from their heels to their balls behind 0:03:27.200,0:03:34.000 the big toes. This weight distribution  conserved a lot of energy while walking. 0:03:34.000,0:03:39.040 Here, I feel the need to share my observations  from training people in re-posturing through 0:03:39.040,0:03:46.160 Skeletal Leap. The energy conservation in walking  resulting from body weight distribution is the 0:03:46.160,0:03:54.240 ideal state. What I have noticed in the majority  of my trainees is something different. Owing to 0:03:54.240,0:03:59.600 posturing their body in a wrong way over years  and years, they distribute their body weight 0:03:59.600,0:04:06.080 on the outsides of their feet. Most of them  do so toward the outer sides of their heels 0:04:06.080,0:04:13.120 whereas the rest do toward their little toes. The  first thing I always check in my trainees is the 0:04:13.120,0:04:21.840 soles of their shoes. More specifically, where  those soles have worn the most. My data suggest 0:04:21.840,0:04:28.080 that most of the modern Homo sapiens distribute  their body weight on their feet the wrong way. 0:04:28.080,0:04:35.760 Today, the human foot is a complex structure  of 26 bones, 33 joints and hundreds of muscles, 0:04:35.760,0:04:40.080 tendons and ligaments. The  main joints of the foot are: 0:04:40.080,0:04:46.960 Ankle joint | Subtalar joint |  Interphalangeal foot articulations 0:04:46.960,0:04:53.760 A foot has three parts to it: The hindfoot comprises the ankle bone (talus) 0:04:53.760,0:05:00.880 and heel bone (calcaneus). The ankle bone connects  to tibia and fibula in the lower leg and forms the 0:05:00.880,0:05:08.080 ankle joint. At its other end, it connects to  the heel bone and forms the subtalar joint. 0:05:08.080,0:05:15.840 The midfoot has five bones: the cuboid, navicular  and three cuneiform bones from its arches, 0:05:15.840,0:05:20.400 serving as a shock absorber. It is  connected to the hindfoot and the 0:05:20.400,0:05:27.680 forefoot with muscles and plantar fascia.  The forefoot comprises five toes and five 0:05:27.680,0:05:35.040 proximal long bones forming metatarsus. Toe  bones are called phalanges. The joints among 0:05:35.040,0:05:40.800 these phalanges are named interphalangeal  joints while joints of phalanges with 0:05:40.800,0:05:48.240 metatarsus are named metatarsophalangeal joints. The human foot has two longitudinal and one 0:05:48.240,0:05:54.480 transverse arches. They make walking  and running more energy-efficient. 0:05:54.480,0:05:57.200 Knee: Human knee joints 0:05:57.200,0:06:01.920 have also evolved to support the increased  body weight between just the two of them, 0:06:01.920,0:06:09.360 as opposed to among the four before bipedalism. The degree of knee extension, meaning the angle 0:06:09.360,0:06:16.720 between the thigh and the shank in the walking  cycle, has decreased. This change called double 0:06:16.720,0:06:23.040 knee action reduces energy lost by vertical  displacement of the center of gravity. It 0:06:23.040,0:06:31.040 enables Homo sapiens to keep their knees straight  right under the body, improving its balance. 0:06:31.040,0:06:36.080 The knee joins the thigh and the leg with  two joints, tibiofemoral joint connecting 0:06:36.080,0:06:42.160 femur with tibia and patellofemoral  joint connecting femur and patella. 0:06:42.160,0:06:48.640 This modified hinge joint is the largest  joint in the body. It very efficiently 0:06:48.640,0:06:56.000 permits flexion and extension along with  a limited internal and external rotation. 0:06:56.000,0:07:01.200 Limbs: Evolution, driven by bipedalism, meant that Homo 0:07:01.200,0:07:08.000 sapiens were the only species to function with an  upright gait. This changed the lengths of their 0:07:08.000,0:07:14.800 legs. Today, leg muscles are the ones that give  a push, through their ankles, to the action of 0:07:14.800,0:07:23.840 walking. Longer legs also give an effortless swing  to the steps without using the muscles every time. 0:07:23.840,0:07:30.640 Since forelimbs, or hands as we now call them,  don’t play any role in the action of walking, they 0:07:30.640,0:07:37.520 have been freed to be used for other activities. Bipedal evolution provided Homo sapiens with 0:07:37.520,0:07:44.240 upper limbs for visually guided manipulation and  lower limbs for mechanically guided bipedal gait. 0:07:44.880,0:07:51.440 It also optimized the location of the body’s  center of gravity. It further reorganized the 0:07:51.440,0:07:58.720 internal organs and the biomechanism of the trunk  through a double S shaped vertebral column. Today, 0:07:58.720,0:08:05.920 the double S shape of the vertebral column is  an efficient shock absorber. The entire skeletal 0:08:05.920,0:08:12.240 system thus efficiently shifts the weight  of the upper body to the sole of the feet. 0:08:12.240,0:08:18.880 Long, load bearing legs are also  very nicely optimized for bipedalism. 0:08:18.880,0:08:25.200 All the large joints of the lower limb are  aligned in a vertically oriented straight line. 0:08:25.200,0:08:30.960 Hip and Pelvis: Bipedalism also resulted in larger hip 0:08:30.960,0:08:38.240 joints than before to better support the entire  body weight. It made the hip shorter and broader, 0:08:38.240,0:08:44.480 bringing the vertebral column closer to itself.  This re-arrangement provided a more stable 0:08:44.480,0:08:51.440 base for the support of the trunk while walking  upright. The ilium broadened, thereby adjusting 0:08:51.440,0:08:58.480 the walls of the pelvis to face laterally. The size of the gluteus muscles increased as well, 0:08:58.480,0:09:06.640 enabling Homo sapiens to assume a balanced stance  even on just one leg. The sacrum turned broader, 0:09:06.640,0:09:11.920 thus increasing the opening of the birth  canal in the females of the species. 0:09:11.920,0:09:18.320 Three pelvic bones fused into one as the hip bone.  Today, the hip joins the head of the femur to the 0:09:18.320,0:09:25.760 acetabulum of the pelvis. This joint supports  the weight of the body in its static as well as 0:09:25.760,0:09:33.680 dynamic state. Thus, the hip joint retains balance  and maintains the pelvic inclination angle. 0:09:33.680,0:09:38.560 Pelvic Tilt: Pelvic tilt is a movable postural orientation 0:09:38.560,0:09:45.280 of the pelvis. It is an orientation relative to  the thigh bones, knee joints and the soles of the 0:09:45.280,0:09:51.840 feet below. It also changes the orientation  of the hip joint. When postured right, it 0:09:51.840,0:09:59.840 subtly supports the weight of the vertebral column  above it while keeping its double S shape intact. 0:09:59.840,0:10:04.800 But that is just a description of  the ideal pelvic orientation. A major 0:10:04.800,0:10:10.960 chunk of the human population habitually  keeps this pelvic tilt wrongly postured. 0:10:10.960,0:10:15.120 There are two reasons for this  unhealthy habit formation. 0:10:15.760,0:10:21.920 The first one is the downward pull by gravity on  its orientation. People give in to this constant 0:10:21.920,0:10:29.520 downward pull when they lack enough life energy to  keep its orientation up. They just let the front 0:10:29.520,0:10:36.240 of their pelvis drop in relation to its back.  The newly acquired orientation called anterior 0:10:36.240,0:10:43.120 pelvic tilt also disrupts the orientation of  the hip joint. This further disrupts the double 0:10:43.120,0:10:49.520 S shape of the vertebral column above. Below,  it disrupts the load bearing distribution at 0:10:49.520,0:10:57.520 the knee joints and at the soles of the feet, thus  rendering the entire skeletal posture ‘unhealthy’. 0:10:57.520,0:11:03.600 The second reason is an emotionally driven,  ‘pulled-in’ psychological state that results in 0:11:03.600,0:11:10.800 same aforementioned ‘unhealthy’ skeletal posture. The aforementioned anterior pelvic tilt is just 0:11:10.800,0:11:17.440 one, albeit the most prevalent,  of its many abnormal orientations. 0:11:17.440,0:11:21.200 The second most prevalent of the  abnormal orientations of the pelvic 0:11:21.200,0:11:26.720 joint is the posterior pelvic tilt. Here is a complete list of pelvic 0:11:26.720,0:11:32.640 tilt abnormalities as and when its  orientation gets wrongly postured: 0:11:34.080,0:11:41.280 Anterior pelvic tilt drops the front of the pelvis  relative to the back of the pelvis. It shortens 0:11:41.280,0:11:50.960 the hip flexors and lengthens the hip extensors. Posterior pelvic tilt raises the front of the 0:11:50.960,0:11:55.200 pelvic relative to the back of  the pelvis. It lengthens the hip 0:11:55.200,0:12:03.680 flexors and shortens the hip extensors. Lateral pelvic tilt happens when one 0:12:03.680,0:12:10.400 keeps pelvis tilted to left or right  habitually, resulting in scoliosis. 0:12:11.600,0:12:18.960 Left pelvic tilt keeps the right side of  the pelvis raised more than the left side. 0:12:20.400,0:12:27.280 Right pelvic tilt keeps the left side of  the pelvis raised more than the right side. 0:12:27.280,0:12:32.800 Tailbone vis-à-vis Root Chakra: Pelvic tilt is the sole cause of 0:12:32.800,0:12:38.240 a closed root chakra appearing at the  lowest point, coccyx (aka tailbone), 0:12:38.240,0:12:46.080 of the vertebral column. Coccyx lies very near the  pelvic belt. And the pelvic tilt drops it down and 0:12:46.080,0:12:53.280 pushes it forward in the case of a posterior  pelvic tilt. When the pelvic tilt is anterior, 0:12:53.280,0:13:01.600 it still drops the coccyx down but pushes it  backward this time. Both these maneuvers sow the 0:13:01.600,0:13:08.480 seed of closed chakras eventually distorting  the double S curve of the vertebral column. 0:13:08.480,0:13:14.560 A closed root chakra also disrupts the anatomy  and hence the physiology of the pelvis, 0:13:14.560,0:13:23.360 hip and the lower limb. It disrupts the  pelvic, hip, knee, ankle and subtalar joints 0:13:23.360,0:13:31.440 with interphalangeal articulations of the feet and  the associated muscles, nerves and blood vessels. 0:13:31.440,0:13:40.880 As a result, the tailbone (coccyx) drops down as  well as moves forward or backward at the pelvis. 0:13:41.600,0:13:49.040 The body weight distribution on the hip, knees  and soles of the feet gets distorted centering its 0:13:49.040,0:13:57.280 thrust on the wrong points. With the passage of  time, one develops knee pain, sciatica, varicose 0:13:57.280,0:14:05.040 veins and constipation in case of posterior pelvic  tilt. When it is due to anterior pelvic tilt, 0:14:05.040,0:14:12.320 constipation gets replaced with chronic diarrhea. Symptoms of root chakra blockage are indicators of 0:14:12.320,0:14:18.960 lifestyle diseases related to the root chakra. It makes us feel ungrounded biologically 0:14:18.960,0:14:23.280 as well as psychologically. Hence  it keeps us perennially concerned 0:14:23.280,0:14:31.920 with survival and material security in life. More specifically, a posterior pelvic tilt turns 0:14:31.920,0:14:40.560 us into misers who fear losing whatever little  we have. Biologically, this manifests as 0:14:40.560,0:14:48.400 constipation, belly fat and/ or hemorrhoids. On the other hand, an anterior pelvic tilt 0:14:48.400,0:14:57.360 turns us into spendthrifts. Contrary to common  perception, this comes from a place of greed. 0:14:57.360,0:15:02.720 Here, I’d like to bring our attention back to  a point I made earlier, i.e., the opposite of 0:15:02.720,0:15:09.360 fear is not courage but greed. Therefore,  it makes us believe that our wealth would 0:15:09.360,0:15:17.520 never deplete even when a lot of it gets lost.  Biologically, this leads to chronic diarrhea. 0:15:17.520,0:15:20.960 Both types of pelvic tilts are  accompanied by other symptoms 0:15:20.960,0:15:27.200 such as acidity and loss of appetite. Opening the root chakra reverses the wrong 0:15:27.200,0:15:34.240 done to the pelvic tilt and makes the ideal  pelvic posture one’s first nature. Doing away 0:15:34.240,0:15:42.000 with our pelvic tilt tends to start the first  step toward a ‘healthy’ skeletal re-posturing. 0:15:42.000,0:15:45.520 Vertebral Column: The vertebral column 0:15:45.520,0:15:52.080 of Homo sapiens, in its natural posture,  has a forward bend in its lumbar region. 0:15:52.080,0:15:59.360 Above this, it has a backward bend in its thoracic  region. Together, these two bends give rise to the 0:15:59.360,0:16:05.920 double S shape of the vertebral column. Without  its forward bend in its lumbar region, the body 0:16:05.920,0:16:14.000 would have kept leaning forward. In that case it  would have needed a huge effort to stand upright. 0:16:14.000,0:16:18.480 The forward bend in the lumbar region and  the backward bend in the thoracic region 0:16:18.480,0:16:24.000 keep the body straight. These two bends  do so by keeping the body’s center of 0:16:24.000,0:16:29.760 gravity vertically in line with its feet. The vertebral column is what makes Homo 0:16:29.760,0:16:38.080 sapiens a vertebrate that has a long chain of  vertebrae separated by intervertebral discs. 0:16:38.080,0:16:43.520 Their nomenclature is done by their region  – denoted by a letter – within the vertebral 0:16:43.520,0:16:51.440 column and their position – denoted by a number  – within that region. The vertebral column also 0:16:51.440,0:17:00.000 has a spinal canal for housing the spinal cord. Nomenclature of the vertebrae: Cervical spine 7 0:17:00.000,0:17:09.840 vertebrae (C1 - C7) | Thoracic spine 12  vertebrae (T1 - T12) | Lumbar spine 5 0:17:09.840,0:17:21.600 vertebrae (L1 -L5) | Sacrum 5 fused vertebrae  (S1 -S5) | Coccyx 4 fused vertebrae (Tailbone) 0:17:21.600,0:17:29.600 There are 33 vertebrae in the vertebral column.  The upper 24 of them are of the articulating type 0:17:29.600,0:17:37.440 and separated from one another by intervertebral  discs. The lower 9 of them are of the fused type 0:17:37.440,0:17:45.520 in human adults, 5 in the sacrum and 4  in the coccyx. Ligaments at the front, 0:17:45.520,0:17:51.440 back and in between the vertebrae  help lengthen the vertebral column. 0:17:51.440,0:17:59.120 These ligaments join the spinous processes, the  transverse processes and the vertebral laminae. 0:17:59.120,0:18:06.320 Atlas and axis are the topmost vertebrae in  the cervical region and they support the head. 0:18:06.320,0:18:12.320 Vertebral body and vertebral arch are the  two parts of a vertebra placed anteriorly and 0:18:12.320,0:18:20.320 posteriorly respectively. These two parts that are  in contact with each other enclose the vertebral 0:18:20.320,0:18:27.520 foramen through which the spinal cord passes. The vertebral arch comprises two pedicles 0:18:27.520,0:18:34.640 and two laminae. The arch performs seven  processes out of which 4 are articular, 0:18:34.640,0:18:42.240 2 are transverse and one is spinous (aka neural  spine). The spinous process comes out the back 0:18:42.240,0:18:49.200 and the two transverse processes come out left  and right respectively. Vertebrae are joined by 0:18:49.200,0:18:56.080 a thin portion of the neural arch called the  pars interarticularis with facet joints that 0:18:56.080,0:19:03.920 allow a restricted movement. Each pair of two  vertebrae contains two small holes between them. 0:19:04.640,0:19:10.720 These holes are named intervertebral foramina.  Spinal nerves go out of the spinal cord to 0:19:10.720,0:19:16.400 the organs through these holes. As a result of bipedal evolution, 0:19:16.400,0:19:23.680 the vertebral column got curved at numerous places  to stabilize the body in an upright position. 0:19:23.680,0:19:29.280 Here is a list of curves in the vertebral  column comprising their vertebrae: 0:19:29.280,0:19:40.560 C2 - T2: convex forward (lordotic curve) | T2 -  T12: concave forward (kyphotic curve) | T12 - S1: 0:19:40.560,0:19:49.280 convex forward (lordotic curve) | S1 -  Tailbone: concave forward (kyphotic curve) 0:19:49.280,0:19:52.400 Curvature abnormalities are of four types: 0:19:52.960,0:20:05.520 Kyphosis - excessive kyphotic curve | Lordosis  * excessive lordotic curve | Scoliosis - lateral 0:20:05.520,0:20:14.320 curvature | Kyphoscoliosis -  combination of kyphosis and lordosis 0:20:14.320,0:20:21.920 Sacral Plexus vis-à-vis Sacral Chakra: Sacral plexus is a nerve plexus comprising 0:20:21.920,0:20:29.200 sensory and motor nerves for the pelvis  (partly), posterior thigh, lower leg and foot. 0:20:29.840,0:20:36.080 It originates at the lumbar and  sacral vertebrae namely L4 - S4. 0:20:36.080,0:20:41.200 It is a formation that comprises: The lumbosacral trunk | The anterior division 0:20:41.200,0:20:48.960 of the first sacral nerve | Parts of the anterior  divisions of the 2nd and 3rd sacral nerves 0:20:48.960,0:20:53.520 The nerves of the sacral plexus meet  at the greater sciatic foramen making 0:20:53.520,0:20:59.920 a flattened band there. From here, new  branches turn into the sciatic nerve, 0:20:59.920,0:21:05.760 ultimately splitting into the tibial and  fibular nerves in the posterior thigh. 0:21:05.760,0:21:11.280 Sacral plexus is positioned at the back of  the pelvis and is fed by the superior and 0:21:11.280,0:21:18.000 inferior gluteal arteries and veins. A closed sacral chakra happens when 0:21:18.000,0:21:22.480 the nerves in the sacral plexus are  subjected to long-term compression. 0:21:23.200,0:21:28.320 It takes place through the dropping of the sacral  vertebrae and the resulting distortion of the 0:21:28.320,0:21:35.440 lower S of the double S shaped vertebral column. Constant compression of the sacral plexus results 0:21:35.440,0:21:41.200 in the suppression of the aesthetic of our  instinctual structure. The roles of the root 0:21:41.200,0:21:48.560 chakra and the sacral chakra are just the opposite  of each other. The root chakra takes care of the 0:21:48.560,0:21:56.560 basic survival and material safety or security.  Conversely, the sacral chakra is concerned with 0:21:56.560,0:22:04.720 whatever is beautiful in life and gives it  meaning. Its concerns, including curiosity, 0:22:04.720,0:22:12.320 creativity, sexual drive and potency, fill  the pursuit of life with joy and passion. 0:22:13.040,0:22:18.560 Symptoms that point to the existence of the  sacral chakra, including all kinds of sexual 0:22:18.560,0:22:25.760 problems like premature ejaculation,  impotence, ejaculatory incompetence, 0:22:25.760,0:22:33.200 orgasmic dysfunction, vaginismus, frigidity and  a poor sex performance owing to the lack of a 0:22:33.200,0:22:41.760 mature orgasm in men and women are all lifestyle  diseases that stem from a closed sacral chakra. 0:22:41.760,0:22:47.840 A constantly compressed sacral plexus afflicts  the sexual process with various types of sexual 0:22:47.840,0:22:53.360 dysfunctions. But once the compression  is released through raising the sacral 0:22:53.360,0:23:00.320 vertebrae up in the vertebral column, they start  getting relieved. Then, it is just a question 0:23:00.320,0:23:07.840 of keeping the vertebral column raised at its  sacral region by making it one’s first nature. 0:23:07.840,0:23:14.800 There is a caveat here. The sacral chakra  cannot be effectively opened until and unless 0:23:14.800,0:23:23.120 the root chakra below it is already opened. Solar Plexus vis-à-vis Solar Plexus Chakra: 0:23:23.120,0:23:29.680 The solar plexus aka celiac plexus is  located in the vicinity of the thoracic 0:23:29.680,0:23:36.320 diaphragm near the first lumbar vertebra  in the vertebral column. It comprises: 0:23:36.960,0:23:42.400 Splanchnic nerves - paired visceral nerves  with fibers from autonomic nervous system 0:23:42.400,0:23:50.320 and organs innervating visceral organs  | Anterior vagal trunk - a branch of 0:23:50.320,0:23:58.000 the vagus nerve with fibers from the  left vagus primarily | Posterior vagal 0:23:58.000,0:24:04.480 trunk - a branch of vagus nerve with  fibers from the right vagus primarily 0:24:04.480,0:24:09.120 Solar plexus also comprises  smaller plexuses within, namely: 0:24:09.120,0:24:15.920 Hepatic plexus - receiving filaments from  left vagus and right phrenic nerves | Splenic 0:24:15.920,0:24:22.720 plexus - formed by the left celiac ganglion and  the right vagus nerve | Gastric plexus - joining 0:24:22.720,0:24:28.240 branches from the left vagus nerve |  Pancreatic plexus - another solar plexus 0:24:28.240,0:24:37.360 division | Suprarenal plexus - receiving branches  from the celiac ganglion and splanchnic nerves 0:24:37.360,0:24:42.720 Solar plexus chakra arises from the L1  vertebra being dropped and tucked in, 0:24:42.720,0:24:46.720 thereby compressing the thoracic  diaphragm along its length. 0:24:47.440,0:24:53.600 A closed solar plexus chakra acutely disturbs  the breathing pattern, turning it shallow and 0:24:53.600,0:25:00.960 speedier. It makes one prone to breathing-related  illnesses. As a result, diffidence creeps into 0:25:00.960,0:25:07.760 one’s persona causing one to lose their spirit  of interaction, adventure and initiative. 0:25:08.480,0:25:13.360 Belly fat leading to obesity, lower  back pain, and breathing problems, 0:25:13.360,0:25:20.640 including asthmatic symptoms, are the lifestyle  diseases that stem from the solar plexus chakra. 0:25:20.640,0:25:25.440 The way to open the solar plexus chakra is  simply to remove its compression by raising 0:25:25.440,0:25:34.080 the L1 up and out. It further pronounces the lower  S of the double S shape in the vertebral column. 0:25:34.080,0:25:41.360 Once we have learnt how to effectively do  this, we just need to make it our first nature. 0:25:41.360,0:25:48.560 There is a caveat here. Solar plexus chakra cannot  be effectively opened unless the root chakra and 0:25:48.560,0:25:56.560 the sacral chakra below it are already opened. Pectoral Muscles vis-à-vis Heart Chakra: 0:25:56.560,0:26:02.560 Innervated by the lateral pectoral nerve (C5 - C7)  and the medial pectoral nerve (C8 - T1), pectoral 0:26:02.560,0:26:07.520 muscles have two parts: Pectoralis major - flexes, 0:26:07.520,0:26:15.040 extends and rotates humerus | Pectoralis  minor - stabilizes the scapula 0:26:15.040,0:26:19.920 The pectoralis major is a thick,  fan-shaped convergent muscle located 0:26:19.920,0:26:26.800 in the chest. Its functions are flexion,  extension and rotation of the humerus. 0:26:26.800,0:26:30.720 It performs four movements for the shoulder joint: 0:26:32.080,0:26:38.960 Flexion of the humerus like in heavy weight  lifting while doing biceps curls | Adduction 0:26:38.960,0:26:44.800 of the humerus like in arm-flapping |  Rotating the humerus medially like in 0:26:44.800,0:26:52.720 arm-wrestling | Keeping arms attached to  torso like in military “attention” posture 0:26:53.440,0:26:58.720 Out of the above four actions, only  the second one keeps its associated 0:26:58.720,0:27:05.600 vertebral upper S shape intact at the C8 -  T1 vertebrae. The same holds good for the 0:27:05.600,0:27:13.520 C5 - C7 vertebrae. The remaining three tend  to turn it into an inverted C shape. Also, 0:27:13.520,0:27:19.120 when we stretch our body for relaxation,  it performs the second action alone. 0:27:19.760,0:27:24.960 Hence, it is logical to deduce that the  second action is the most relaxed state 0:27:24.960,0:27:31.360 of the muscle. When we make it our first  nature, it keeps the heart chakra open. 0:27:31.360,0:27:38.000 But when we keep it postured like in any of the  other three actions, it closes the heart chakra. 0:27:38.000,0:27:45.200 It does so by turning the upper S shape of the  C8 - T1 vertebrae into an inverted C shape. 0:27:45.760,0:27:51.440 The pectoralis minor is a thin, triangular  muscle located in the upper chest under the 0:27:51.440,0:27:58.160 pectoralis major muscle, which is innervated by  the medial pectoral nerve (C8 - T1) alone. Same 0:27:58.160,0:28:03.440 is true about the pectoralis minor which  is also able to stabilize scapulae when 0:28:03.440,0:28:08.000 postured like in the aforementioned  second action of the shoulder joint. 0:28:08.560,0:28:12.960 This second action is also the one  that we adopt for hugging someone. 0:28:12.960,0:28:18.080 And that is how we know that an open  heart chakra is concerned most with love, 0:28:18.080,0:28:24.000 kindness and compassion. If it is closed,  it leads to narrowness of the heart, 0:28:24.000,0:28:30.560 keeping us emotionally/ passionately  isolated from our fellow beings on earth. 0:28:31.360,0:28:36.080 Symptoms that point to the existence of  a closed heart chakra, like high blood 0:28:36.080,0:28:41.520 pressure or hypertension, heart attack  and heart failure, are all lifestyle 0:28:41.520,0:28:48.240 diseases that stem from the heart chakra. There is again a caveat here. Do you see a 0:28:48.240,0:28:55.360 pattern repeating? The heart chakra cannot be  effectively opened unless the root, sacral and 0:28:55.360,0:29:03.680 solar plexus chakras below it are already opened. Deltoid Muscle vis-à-vis Throat Chakra: 0:29:03.680,0:29:10.800 Innervated by the auxiliary nerve from the  anterior rami of the cervical nerves at C5 and C6, 0:29:10.800,0:29:17.840 the deltoid is located on the shoulder.  It comprises three sets of muscle fibers: 0:29:18.880,0:29:23.840 Anterior (clavicular) - fibers  assist pectoralis major to flex the 0:29:23.840,0:29:32.640 shoulder | Posterior (scapular) - fibers assist  latissimus dorsi to extend the shoulder like in 0:29:32.640,0:29:41.040 rowing movements | Intermediate (acromial)  * fibers perform shoulder abduction 0:29:41.040,0:29:48.960 Out of these three, only the posterior or scapular  fibers keep their associated vertebral upper S 0:29:48.960,0:29:57.120 shape intact at the C5 and C6 vertebrae. The  other two tend to turn it into an inverted 0:29:57.120,0:30:06.160 C shape. Also, when we stretch our body for  relaxation, the posterior fibers perform alone. 0:30:06.160,0:30:12.240 Hence it is logical to deduce that the  action by the posterior fibers is the 0:30:12.240,0:30:17.280 most relaxed state of the muscle. When we make it our first nature, 0:30:17.280,0:30:22.720 it keeps the throat chakra open. But when we keep it postured in 0:30:22.720,0:30:29.280 any other way, it closes the throat chakra.  It does so by turning the upper S shape of 0:30:29.280,0:30:37.680 the C5 - C6 vertebrae into an inverted C shape. The action by the posterior fibers is also the one 0:30:37.680,0:30:44.160 that brings the top ends of the scapulae closest  to each other. It also aligns the collarbones 0:30:44.160,0:30:51.920 along the neck giving it a 180o mobility to move  freely. And this freedom that the head experiences 0:30:51.920,0:30:58.320 on the neck facilitates the opening of the throat  chakra, which then becomes ready to open the 0:30:58.320,0:31:05.520 next chakras (i.e. the ones in the skull). It  opens our pathways to intelligence and logical 0:31:05.520,0:31:13.440 communication. But if it is closed, it corrupts  our communication and logical comprehension. 0:31:14.160,0:31:21.280 Symptoms of the throat chakra include  diabetes, hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism. 0:31:21.280,0:31:28.080 As usual, there is the same caveat here  as well. You guessed it right! The throat 0:31:28.080,0:31:34.320 chakra cannot be effectively opened  unless the root, sacral, solar plexus 0:31:34.320,0:31:43.200 and heart chakras below it are already opened. Skull vis-à-vis Third Eye and Crown Chakras: 0:31:43.200,0:31:49.440 The skull of the Homo sapiens is freely balanced  on the vertebral column at its first vertebra 0:31:49.440,0:31:56.640 named Atlas, denoted together by the letter C  (for cervical) and the number 1 (for first) as 0:31:56.640,0:32:04.960 C1. Occipital condyles maintain the balance  of the vertebral column dynamically. This is 0:32:04.960,0:32:12.320 the main reason a human head can be postured erect  even without the prominent supraorbital ridges and 0:32:12.320,0:32:20.720 strong muscular attachments that are necessary  in apes. As a result, the occipitofrontalis 0:32:20.720,0:32:27.280 (frontalis and occipitalis) muscles are only used  for facial expressions and central fixation of the 0:32:27.280,0:32:35.280 eyes. The spinal cord, as an extension of the  medulla oblongata, enters the vertebral column 0:32:35.280,0:32:42.960 through foramen magnum, an occipital bone opening. The size of the human brain has also played a 0:32:42.960,0:32:50.400 very big role in bipedal evolution. It is 3-4  times larger for its body size than that of its 0:32:50.400,0:32:57.920 nearest evolutionary relative, the chimpanzee. The skull acts as a protective cavity for the 0:32:57.920,0:33:06.320 brain. It houses the majority of the sense  organs including eyes, ears, nose and tongue. 0:33:06.320,0:33:12.880 It has two parts to it, the neurocranium and  membraneous viscerocranium with the mandible 0:33:12.880,0:33:20.720 as the latter’s largest bone. Numerous flat bones  are fused together as sutures to give the human 0:33:20.720,0:33:28.640 skull its shape. The mandible is the only major  movable bone that engages with the neurocranium 0:33:28.640,0:33:34.800 via the temporomandibular joints. In all, the skull has 22 bones in 0:33:34.800,0:33:43.600 it. Out of these, eight are the cranial bones: Occipital bone | Temporal bones (2) | Parietal 0:33:43.600,0:33:49.440 bones (2) | Sphenoid bone |  Ethmoid bone | Frontal bone 0:33:50.160,0:33:53.040 There are 14 more bones in the facial skeleton: 0:33:53.920,0:34:01.600 Vomer | Inferior nasal conchae (2) | Nasal  bones (2) | Maxilla (2) | Mandible | Palatine 0:34:01.600,0:34:07.120 bones (2) | Zygomatic bones  (2) | Lacrimal bones (2) 0:34:07.120,0:34:12.080 Also, there are paranasal sinuses  (air-filled cavities lined with 0:34:12.080,0:34:18.960 respiratory epithelium) and numerous  foramina (openings in the skull). 0:34:18.960,0:34:25.360 In episode 21, I had written about the third  eye chakra and the crown chakra coming into 0:34:25.360,0:34:31.360 existence due to bipedal evolution. I  had also explained how to open them by 0:34:31.360,0:34:36.880 maneuvering the temporomandibular joints.  You will also find a full account of the 0:34:36.880,0:34:43.280 only movable temporomandibular joints in the  skull there. I had described it there in the 0:34:43.280,0:34:49.520 context of how the mind got structured  and could be emptied. You can go back 0:34:49.520,0:34:56.400 and check these if you need to refresh their  description in context of this episode again. 0:34:57.200,0:35:01.760 Symptoms that point to the existence  of the third eye and crown chakras 0:35:01.760,0:35:09.600 mainly include problems in one’s vision,  chronic headaches and signs of stress. 0:35:09.600,0:35:16.320 An open third eye chakra is characterized by a  sharp perception. Similarly an open crown chakra 0:35:16.320,0:35:23.600 is characterized by a deep insight into life. The two of them are very similar to each other 0:35:23.600,0:35:29.040 with only one difference between them. An  open crown chakra can see the macro view 0:35:29.040,0:35:34.880 of what an open third eye chakra can see  only the micro version. In other words, 0:35:34.880,0:35:44.160 what an open third eye chakra can see in one  single degree, the crown chakra does in 270o. 0:35:44.160,0:35:51.280 In fact, as I discovered, there are two  types of visual central fixation possible. 0:35:51.280,0:35:58.400 One is associated with an open third eye chakra  alone, providing a crystal clear, bright and sharp 0:35:58.400,0:36:06.080 tunnel vision aka perception. It is achieved by  relaxing the frontalis muscle while accommodating 0:36:06.080,0:36:13.440 with the help of occipitalis. Everything  outside of this tunnel is blurred and dull. 0:36:13.440,0:36:20.480 The other one is associated with both, an open  crown chakra and an open third eye chakra. This 0:36:20.480,0:36:27.840 central fixation provides a crystal clear, bright,  sharp and wide vision including peripheral vision, 0:36:27.840,0:36:35.840 perception as well as empathy. It is achieved by  relaxing both, the frontalis and the temporalis 0:36:35.840,0:36:42.720 muscles while accommodating with the help of  occipitalis. In my personal opinion, this has been 0:36:42.720,0:36:49.920 my biggest discovery in the chakra discipline. In the second type of central fixation, the eyes 0:36:49.920,0:36:58.640 turn extraordinarily bright and empathetically  shiny. I call this shine the real ‘smize’. 0:36:58.640,0:37:04.640 Also, the sharpness of the eyesight is closely  linked with an insight into life. The brain’s 0:37:04.640,0:37:11.360 perception needs to be aided by the recording  tool that is a sharp eye. In other words, 0:37:11.360,0:37:15.840 a clear vision in the eye leads  to a clear worldview as well. 0:37:16.640,0:37:25.040 Therefore, we must really say that our eyes are  the real windows to the brain and not to the mind! 0:37:25.040,0:37:29.600 That is why the third eye chakra has  been assigned two iconic petals whereas 0:37:29.600,0:37:34.880 the crown chakra has been assigned full  one thousand! And that is why the crown 0:37:34.880,0:37:41.760 chakra is called the king of all chakras. Let’s not forget that same caveat here! 0:37:41.760,0:37:48.400 The crown chakra cannot be effectively opened  unless third eye chakra is already opened. Also, 0:37:48.400,0:37:54.640 the third eye chakra cannot be effectively  opened unless the throat chakra is opened. 0:37:54.640,0:38:00.560 Thanks for listening to this episode  of Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure! 0:38:00.560,0:38:05.840 In the next episode, I will tell  you about an unintended evidence 0:38:05.840,0:38:12.880 strengthening the skeletal chakra hypothesis  via achieving central fixation of the eyes. 0:38:12.880,0:38:16.800 Be a part of Skeletal Leap Community! Release Stress: Psychological Stress Vs Biological Stress! – Podcast Episode 23

RELEASE STRESS TECHNIQUES: PSYCHOLOGICAL STRESS VS BIOLOGICAL STRESS! Welcome back to the 23rd episode of Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure! Today’s episode titled “Release Stress: Psychological Stress Vs Biological Stress!” will tell you about what stress really means in terms of chakras and skeletal postures. Stress is a situation perceived by an organism either as a threat or a challenge that needs to be coped with. In case of Homo sapiens, this type of situation has two layers to it. The first one is biological stress and the second, psychological. SKELETAL LEAP, the mind body connection for mind and body healing, is a giant leap that our skeleton [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skeleton] can take through the way it postures its joints. I had stumbled upon this miracle many years ago, coincidentally RELEASE STRESS: PSYCHOLOGICAL STRESS VS BIOLOGICAL STRESS! - SHOW NOTES Welcome back to another enlightening episode of Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure! In today’s episode titled “Release Stress: Psychological Stress Vs Biological Stress,” I explain the multifaceted nature of stress, exploring its biological and psychological dimensions. Join me as I unpack the layers of stress, revealing how both external and internal factors contribute to our experiences of psychological pain.  Discover the two primary forms of stress that affect Homo sapiens: biological stress, managed by our nervous system, and psychological stress, which is interpreted through our minds. Learn about the intricate workings of the autonomic nervous system and the HPA axis, and how they respond to perceived threats or challenges.  This episode will also cover the various stressors, from acute challenges to chronic pressures, and their profound impacts on our health and well-being. Additionally, I share insights into the pioneering work of Hans Selye, who laid the groundwork for our understanding of stress and its effects on the body.  Explore the concept of hardiness and how adopting a lightness mindset can transform our approach to stress management. Through the lens of Skeletal Leap, you’ll discover how skeletal re-posturing and chakra opening can alleviate stress, leading to a healthier mind-body connection.  Tune in to learn how to cultivate resilience and lightness in your life. Here you will find: (00:00:00) - Stress is a situation perceived by an organism as a threat or a challenge (00:05:25) - Stress is a feeling of emotional pain that can be internal or external (00:15:39) - Skeletal Leap has a well researched and documented system of opening chakras RELEASE STRESS: PSYCHOLOGICAL STRESS VS BIOLOGICAL STRESS! - CHAPTERS Chapters: (00:00:01) - What is Stress? My name is Laadi Ojas. Welcome to “Skeletal Leap: 0:00:26.480,0:00:34.160 A Living Adventure”. Skeletal Leap  transforms one’s life into a personal heaven. 0:00:34.160,0:00:38.400 Today’s episode will tell you  about what stress really means 0:00:38.400,0:00:43.440 in terms of chakras and skeletal postures. 0:00:43.440,0:00:48.160 Stress is a situation perceived by  an organism either as a threat or a 0:00:48.160,0:00:54.320 challenge that needs to be coped with. In case of Homo sapiens, this type of 0:00:54.320,0:01:02.240 situation has two layers to it. The first one is  biological stress and the second, psychological. 0:01:02.240,0:01:06.960 In the case of biological stress, it  is the nervous system that perceives 0:01:06.960,0:01:12.080 it as a threat or challenge. But in  the case of psychological stress, 0:01:12.080,0:01:19.680 it is the mind that comprehends the brain’s  perception as either a threat or as a challenge. 0:01:19.680,0:01:24.080 Biological Stress In Homo sapiens, the following 0:01:24.080,0:01:29.760 biological systems respond to stress: 1. Autonomic nervous system 0:01:29.760,0:01:40.880 2. Hypothalamic pituitary adrenal (HPA) axis Sympathoadrenal medullary (SAM) axis is capable, 0:01:40.880,0:01:45.680 via the sympathetic nervous system, of  switching a ‘fight or flight’ response 0:01:45.680,0:01:52.720 on. It directs a major portion of the body’s  energy resources to cope with the perceived 0:01:52.720,0:01:59.600 stress before returning to homeostasis  via the parasympathetic nervous system. 0:01:59.600,0:02:06.480 On the other hand, the HPA axis releases cortisol  to take care of metabolic and immunological 0:02:06.480,0:02:14.640 functions in the meantime. The SAM and HPA axes  are regulated by the following brain regions: 0:02:14.640,0:02:24.160 Limbic system | Prefrontal cortex |  Amygdala | Hypothalamus | Stria terminalis 0:02:24.160,0:02:30.960 These coping mechanisms perceive stressors  as one among the five possible categories: 0:02:30.960,0:02:37.120 1. Acute time-limited stressors  posing a short term challenge 0:02:37.120,0:02:43.520 2. Brief naturalistic stressors  * normal yet challenging 0:02:43.520,0:02:50.880 3. Stressful event sequences - sudden  onset continuing in immediate future 0:02:50.880,0:02:56.720 4. Chronic stressors continuing  for long terms in future 0:02:56.720,0:03:03.440 5. Distant stressors - set  to affect in distant future 0:03:03.440,0:03:09.840 Physiological stress disturbs the organism’s  homeostasis which responds by stimulating the 0:03:09.840,0:03:16.240 nervous, endocrine and immune systems.  This activates physical changes showing 0:03:16.240,0:03:23.440 their short or long term effects on the body. Homeostasis is an ideal state of biochemical 0:03:23.440,0:03:30.960 equilibrium. It often keeps getting disrupted by  internal and external stimuli, thereby keeping it 0:03:30.960,0:03:37.840 in a state of continual flux. But if and when  this disruption goes beyond a certain range, 0:03:37.840,0:03:44.080 we experience it as stress. In the presence of acute stress, 0:03:44.080,0:03:49.440 the sympathetic nervous system takes over  with a ‘fight or flight’ response involving: 0:03:49.440,0:03:57.480 Mydriasis | Increased heart beats |  Vasoconstriction | Glycogenolysis | 0:03:57.480,0:04:05.280 Bronchodilation | Gluconeogenesis | Sweating  | Lipolysis | Decreased motility of digestive 0:04:05.280,0:04:14.400 system | Apinephrine and cortisol secretion from  adrenal medulla | Relaxation of bladder wall 0:04:14.400,0:04:18.560 After having coped with stress,  the parasympathetic nervous system 0:04:18.560,0:04:24.240 reestablishes ‘rest and digest’  aka homeostasis response involving: 0:04:24.240,0:04:33.120 Miosis | Bronchoconstriction | Increased motility  of digestive system | Contraction of bladder walls 0:04:33.120,0:04:40.240 The HPA axis is a neuroendocrine system for stress  response which stimulates the steroid hormones. 0:04:41.600,0:04:48.480 Stress also affects the immune system negatively. In fact, chronic long-term stress affects 0:04:48.480,0:04:53.280 our quality of life by creating: Immune system dysfunction | Chronic 0:04:53.280,0:04:59.120 diseases | Impaired growth in children  | Fibromyalgia | Chronic fatigue 0:04:59.120,0:05:08.320 syndrome | Depression | Functional somatic  syndromes | Heart disease | Asthma | Diabetes 0:05:08.320,0:05:16.480 | Headaches | Alzheimer’s disease | Accelerated  aging | Premature death | Insomnia | Eating 0:05:16.480,0:05:25.840 disorders | Anxiety and panic attacks | Colds  and viruses | Circulatory problems | Cancer 0:05:25.840,0:05:32.160 It is not only negative stressors that add to the  stress level, even the positive stressors do the 0:05:32.160,0:05:38.720 same. Here is a list of some categories  that some common stressors belong to: 0:05:38.720,0:05:46.960 1. Sensory inputs like pain, bright  lights, noise, temperatures, etc. 0:05:46.960,0:05:57.120 2. Environmental issues like lack of food,  water, housing, health, freedom, mobility, etc. 0:05:57.120,0:06:06.800 3. Social issues like struggles, defeats,  relationship conflicts, deception, break ups, 0:06:06.800,0:06:16.560 births, deaths, marriages, divorces, etc. 4. Life experiences like poverty, sudden 0:06:16.560,0:06:24.000 wealth acquisition, unemployment,  depression, OCD, lack of sleep, 0:06:24.000,0:06:34.720 performance pressures, exams, deadlines, etc. 5. Accidental experiences like sexual abuse, 0:06:34.720,0:06:40.320 traumas, etc. Psychological Stress 0:06:40.320,0:06:45.680 Psychological stress is a feeling of  emotional pain. Small amounts of them 0:06:45.680,0:06:52.960 are manageable as well as motivating at  times but their excess is debilitating. 0:06:52.960,0:06:58.720 The source of psychological stress can  either be external or internal, but in 0:06:58.720,0:07:07.120 both cases one internalizes the resultant pain. Hans Selye came up with quite a few experiments 0:07:07.120,0:07:16.080 on stress and its theories in the 1930s. He  conceived the theory of universal, non-specific 0:07:16.080,0:07:23.680 stress response and initiated extensive  research programs in academic physiology. 0:07:23.680,0:07:31.040 Despite wide acceptance of his theories,  experimental physiologists soon started opposing 0:07:31.040,0:07:39.840 what they considered ‘vague’ approaches in his  research. Hence, in the 1950s, he turned away from 0:07:39.840,0:07:47.840 experimental physiology and started promoting his  theories via popular books and public speeches. 0:07:47.840,0:07:54.320 His book titled ‘Stress of Life’ addressed  to the general public turned out 0:07:54.320,0:08:00.080 to be an international bestseller. His was a biopsychosocial concept of 0:08:00.080,0:08:07.680 stress and dynamic adaptation to changing global  challenges. It promised health and happiness to 0:08:07.680,0:08:16.080 anyone that successfully employed this approach. He coined the terms ‘eustress’ for positive stress 0:08:16.080,0:08:23.680 and ‘distress’ for negative stress. He also coined  the term ‘stressor’ to mean the cause of stress 0:08:23.680,0:08:31.520 as separate from the state of stress. On top of  it, he redefined tobacco smoking as a ‘diversion’ 0:08:31.520,0:08:38.960 or a ‘deviation’ from environmental stress. Starting from the latter part of the 1960s, 0:08:38.960,0:08:44.640 psychologists increasingly adopted  Selye’s approach. They undertook 0:08:44.640,0:08:52.320 extensive research to establish connections  between stress and stress-related diseases. 0:08:52.320,0:08:59.200 By the latter part of the 1970s, stress  had entered the common parlance globally. 0:08:59.200,0:09:05.120 New research was conducted into the  neuroendocrine, molecular and immunological 0:09:05.120,0:09:13.280 aspects of stress. This new research is no longer  directly tied to Selye’s hypotheses though it 0:09:13.280,0:09:20.160 doesn’t negate it either. In the wake of the  Vietnam War, a lot of research went into the newly 0:09:20.160,0:09:30.320 coined ‘post-traumatic stress disorder’ (PTSD). By the onset of the 1990s, stress had become one 0:09:30.320,0:09:37.680 of the biggest buzzwords while referring to  the modern-day health and its complications. 0:09:37.680,0:09:41.680 The discourse on stress spanned  the entire spectrum from mild 0:09:41.680,0:09:49.920 irritation to ultimate nervous breakdown. As recently as 2015, it was established 0:09:49.920,0:09:58.640 through surveys that people’s greatest stressors  were ‘money’, ‘family responsibility’ and ‘work’. 0:09:58.640,0:10:06.880 A New Personality Style: Hardiness In the year 1979, Suzanne C. Kobasa 0:10:06.880,0:10:11.680 had discovered a new personality  style, which he named ‘hardiness’. 0:10:11.680,0:10:19.040 It referred to the ability of a person to be  chronically stressed yet healthy at the same time. 0:10:19.040,0:10:25.680 This meant that the harmful effects of stress  were not the same for all. They were as much 0:10:25.680,0:10:32.400 due to stressors as they were due to the fallible  personality styles. And if we were able to train 0:10:32.400,0:10:39.680 people to adopt ‘hardiness’ as their personality  style, the problem of stress would be gone. 0:10:39.680,0:10:46.960 In 1984, Salvadore Maddi with Kobasa and  their graduate students in the University 0:10:46.960,0:10:54.960 of Chicago came up with another book. The book  was titled “The hardy executive: Health under 0:10:54.960,0:11:02.880 stress” and it further elaborated the analysis of  hardiness. It carried along a series of research 0:11:02.880,0:11:09.440 reports done with executives in it. Since then, a lot of further research 0:11:09.440,0:11:18.960 has been done on military groups, teachers,  firefighters and students along with executives. 0:11:18.960,0:11:23.280 In addition, several efforts have  been made to train people to adopt 0:11:23.280,0:11:30.160 hardy personalities with mixed results. Research is still going on as newer 0:11:30.160,0:11:34.480 training modules are being tried  to achieve definitive results. 0:11:35.200,0:11:40.720 Hardiness suggests a personality structure  dispositioned along the traits of commitment, 0:11:40.720,0:11:45.040 control and challenge: 1. Commitment was defined 0:11:45.040,0:11:52.640 as a trait to get involved in what one was doing. 2. Control was defined as a trait that made one 0:11:52.640,0:11:59.600 believe one would be able to effect a change. 3. Challenge was defined as a trait that took 0:11:59.600,0:12:04.720 everything including life in  flux rather than stability. 0:12:04.720,0:12:09.920 In my opinion, the best example of a hardy  personality was the co-founder of Apple 0:12:09.920,0:12:17.760 Inc. named Steve Jobs. But the most charismatic  man that he was, he too could not keep himself 0:12:17.760,0:12:24.800 healthy. This exceptionally hardy man died of  pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor resulting in 0:12:24.800,0:12:31.760 respiratory arrest at a young age of 55. What does that show? Is the entire 0:12:31.760,0:12:39.360 hypothesis of Suzanne C. Kobasa a faulty one? I don’t think so. I have my own example in 0:12:39.360,0:12:46.400 front of me having similar (though not the same)  traits in my personality. And I cannot write off 0:12:46.400,0:12:53.680 hardiness that easily. I’m quite healthy in  my 70s while I am speaking these lines. As 0:12:53.680,0:13:00.560 you already know, although I was born with myopia  and contracted viral arthritis which then turned 0:13:00.560,0:13:07.520 into rheumatoid arthritis in six months, I  was able to cure both with central fixation. 0:13:07.520,0:13:13.040 I see a huge potential in  Kobasa’s hypothesis of hardiness. 0:13:13.040,0:13:20.480 A Newer Personality Style: Lightness I would like to change a few things in Kobasa’s 0:13:20.480,0:13:28.320 hypothesis. First of all, I would change its name  from ‘Hardiness’ to ‘Lightness’. Next, I would 0:13:28.320,0:13:37.680 change its traits from ‘commitment, control and  challenge’ to ‘interest, insight and adventure’. 0:13:37.680,0:13:44.320 Hardiness, in general, can be heavy but  we need it to be light rather than heavy. 0:13:44.320,0:13:50.320 Doesn’t matter if it is hard or soft.  If it is light, it’ll be able to fight; 0:13:50.320,0:13:56.800 like traveling light is always way more manageable  than traveling with a lot of heavy stuff. 0:13:56.800,0:14:02.480 Commitment, as a structure of the mind,  requires us to believe in it. And belief 0:14:02.480,0:14:08.880 turns the mind heavy. On the other hand,  interest is an instinct generated out of 0:14:08.880,0:14:17.920 curiosity. We don’t need to believe in it. Thus,  curiosity keeps our mind light. At the same time, 0:14:17.920,0:14:26.560 it is much hardier and lighter than commitment. Control evokes conflict. It makes our mind even 0:14:26.560,0:14:33.520 heavier. Insight, on the other hand, keeps it  light because it arises directly out of the 0:14:33.520,0:14:41.040 lightness of curiosity and interest. Therefore,  it is more effective in creating change. 0:14:41.840,0:14:49.040 Challenge, again, evokes conflict rather than  passion or joy. It fills us with pride which, 0:14:49.040,0:14:53.440 in turn, makes our mind heavy.  Adventure, as an instinct, 0:14:53.440,0:15:01.920 is the better alternative. It has very deep roots  in our psyche and it keeps us light and agile. 0:15:01.920,0:15:08.240 These three traits - interest, insight  and adventure - do a splendid job of 0:15:08.240,0:15:14.080 keeping us healthy. They are effective even  under the toughest of biological stresses 0:15:14.080,0:15:20.560 born out of an ever-changing environment. Psychological stress doesn’t even stand a 0:15:20.560,0:15:27.920 chance because it vanishes the moment we become  carefree and ‘light’ by emptying our mind. We 0:15:27.920,0:15:34.720 don’t need to be heavy like dinosaurs. We just  need to be light like birds. That is perhaps why 0:15:34.720,0:15:42.240 the next phase of evolution after dinosaurs gave  rise to birds. This brings us to the question, 0:15:42.240,0:15:48.080 “How can people be trained to adopt  lightness as a personality style?” 0:15:48.080,0:15:54.320 That is easy. Skeletal Leap already has a well  researched and documented system of opening 0:15:54.320,0:16:02.480 chakras through skeletal re-posturing. Once the  re-postured skeleton becomes one’s first nature, 0:16:02.480,0:16:10.560 the opened chakras allow energy to rise through  the body. Then comes guided meditation. It pulls 0:16:10.560,0:16:19.520 the Kundalini upward relieving the body of stress.  This ascension of energy along Sushumna from the 0:16:19.520,0:16:25.360 coccyx to the crown chakra is the same as the  neural communication along the vagus nerve from 0:16:25.360,0:16:33.600 the gut to the brain. The entire process results  in a state of perennial joy and unbound passion, 0:16:33.600,0:16:40.800 turning the mind empty and hence light.  In our following episodes, we will see 0:16:40.800,0:16:48.240 how this process unfolds, step by step. Thanks for listening to this episode of 0:16:48.240,0:16:55.280 Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure! In the  next episode, I will tell you about how 0:16:55.280,0:17:03.360 skeletal re-posturing opens chakras through  completing our bipedal skeletal evolution. 0:17:03.360,0:17:07.280 Be a part of Skeletal Leap Community!
